Swayze Defends Gibson

Hollywood star Patrick Swayze is the latest celebrity to defend Mel Gibson, following his controversial drink driving arrest last month. The Lethal Weapon star issued a apology last week after it was revealed he had made anti-Semitic comments in a drunken tirade on a Malibu, California highway. While some Hollywood producers and agents have stepped forward to condemn Gibson's drunken slurs, the actor's pals - producer Dean Devlin and actress Jodie Foster have offered their support to the troubled star. Swayze says, "Mel is a wonderful human being. He is not anti-Semetic. People say stupid things when they happen to have a few (drinks), and especially if you don't drink any more, or have limited your drinking for a long time and all of a sudden you decide to have one too many with the boys - you are stupid." The Dirty Dancing star is confident the incident will not affect Gibson's career, adding, "When you are a pit bull, and you love what you do and you are going to continue to grow, that talent will find its way out. Talent deserves to be honored. Hands deserve to be slapped if you do something stupid as well, but don't take it too far."
Is Pamela Anderson Pregnant Already?

Newlywed Pamela Anderson has got tongues wagging in Hollywood after hinting she was pregnant with hew husband Kid Rock's baby on a radio show. The former Baywatch beauty wed the rocker in a St. Tropez, France yacht ceremony last month and legally became Mrs. Robert Ritchie on Thursday. Less than a week after her nuptials, Anderson phoned into American Idol host Ryan Seacrest's daily radio breakfast show on Friday, insisting, "I've never been happier." And when Seacrest asked about the couple's plans to extend their family and have a child together, the actress/model giggled, "There might be one in there now." Anderson confirmed the wedding was legal after officials in St. Tropez pointed out the boat ceremony was illegal because neither bride nor groom lived in France. She revealed, "We just hit the courtroom yesterday on the way to the airport."
Johansson Disappears on Summer Vacation
Scarlett Johansson is taking the summer off making movies so she can take her friends on a Caribbean vacation. The busy 20-year-old has completed four projects in the last 12 months, including latest release, Woody Allen movie Scoop - so she's taking a deserved break before she starts the next round of shooting in September. Johansson tells PageSix.com, "I've been working nonstop. And I think it's time I treated myself to a little vacation. What I'm planning to do is go with a couple of my girlfriends to the Caribbean. I have decided I definitely need the Caribbean. I have a decent break right now. About six weeks because I don't start again until September. That's when we begin shooting The Other Boleyn Girl."
Bruce Willis Settles Feud with Former Friend
Bruce Willis has settled with a former pal he accused of trying to shake him down by going public with private family mementoes. Willis filed suit against Bruce DiMattia on Tuesday in Los Angeles, accusing his former pal of "wrongfully retaining possession" of private photos and videos belonging to the actor. DiMattia, who was charged with organizing the private Willis archive until he was dismissed earlier this year, told Willis he was planning to write a book about his old pal after the movie star tried to kick him out of the home he gave him. In his suit, Willis claimed that DiMattia has "threatened to unlawfully exploit private family photographs and memorabilia" belonging to him. Willis, who was seeking damages of over $1 million and the return of private documents, photographs and video, says, "It has been settled."
Mol Struggled with Hype

Actress Gretchen Mol wishes she had never been hyped up in Hollywood in the 1990s, because she became a laughing stock when her career flopped. In 1998, the star of Rounders and Woody Allen's Celebrity was tipped for major stardom, especially after glossy magazine Vanity Fair featured her on the front page - but she then ironically found acting jobs became scarcer than ever. She says, "I can't really keep up with what the perception of it is now; I've lost the plot. I know how it felt in the moment, which was, 'Oh-oh, that was bad, it was wrong, it didn't work and now it's harder to get jobs.' But then I think, 'Well, it was always hard to get jobs, and I've never had a career where one thing came after another. And it still doesn't, even now.' I've certainly spent time thinking about it and analyzing it, to the point where it feels like it happened to somebody else. It was just the timing, really. It was just funny that the magazine would have so much impact."
Fight Goes On for Stallone's 'Rocky' Statue

A bronze Rocky statue is on the ropes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania because city officials can't decide where to put it. The likeness of Sylvester Stallone's movie boxing champ was dedicated to the city by the movie star in 1982, but dignitaries still can't decide where the statue's permanent home should be. And a campaign to erect the larger-then-life statue at the foot of the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps has fallen flat because snobby museum bosses insist the piece isn't artistic enough. A spokesman for the city Art Commission says, "It's a prop." The commission has suggested the search should continue to find a permanent home for Stallone's statue. Stallone, himself, who will return with a sixth Rocky film later this year, has been fighting to find the statue a suitable home after learning it had been placed in storage.
Hagman Thrilled with Racy Role

Veteran actor Larry Hagman is thrilled he got to guest star on sexy plastic surgery drama Nip/Tuck, because he was able to speak racy dialogue for the first time in his career. The actor has starred in such iconic feel-good shows such as I Dream Of Jeannie and Dallas, but he admits it was time to branch out into more adult territory. He tells US OK! magazine in Nip/Tuck he plays a patient who wants surgery on his penis. He "has his gonads removed. They say, 'What size would you like?' And I say 'kiwi size.' Forty years on television and I've never been able to say things like that!" But no one has teased him for his squeaky-clean screen past, adding, "Everyone's been so nice to me. Of course, I'm an icon and I expect that s**t!"
'Saved By the Bell' Star Drops Tabloid Lawsuit

Former Saved By The Bell star Lark Voorhies has dropped her lawsuit against US tabloid the National Enquirer. The actress, who played Lisa Turtle on the US teen show, alleged the Enquirer printed false accusations that she was addicted to cocaine. The article also quoted a "friend" of Voorhies' saying she had a "terrible drug problem" and was "bipolar." Voorhies claims the Enquirer article cost her several acting jobs, invaded her privacy and caused her "humiliation, embarrassment, hurt feelings, metal anguish and suffering." The star's attorney, Cyrus J Nownejadi tells celebrity website TMZ.com, "The allegations are untrue and the matter has been resolved."
Madonna and Ritchie To Renew Vows
Madonna and Guy Ritchie are planning to renew their vows in a simple ceremony at their home in Wiltshire, England, as soon as the pop queen finishes her Confessions tour this autumn. The golden couple spent last year fighting off rumors their marriage was in a mess - but their romantic gesture will prove the critics wrong, according to website Celebrity Week. A friend says, "They want to show the world how committed they are to each other. Because they've been living in Los Angeles, they've missed spending time in the English countryside with friends and family."
Collette Refused To Shave Armpits

Australian actress Toni Collette fought with movie bosses on the set of new movie Cosi, after they ordered her to shave her armpits. Collette was convinced her junky character needed unkempt underarm hair and battled with Miramax boss Harvey Weinstein until he backed down. She tells the New York Daily News, "Miramax wanted me to shave my underarm hair, which I did not want to do. I was playing a junkie. I did end up keeping it. I felt that since I was creating the character, I should be in control of all bodily hair."
