Anderson and Kid Rock To Marry

Pamela Anderson and on-again, off-again fiance Kid Rock are set to tie the knot later this month in St. Tropez, France. The former Baywatch star posted a message on her website on Tuesday, revealing the details behind the whirlwind wedding. Anderson's representative confirmed to American publication Us Weekly, "They've been close for a very long time and decided that now is the right time to take the next step. They couldn't be happier about their future together." Anderson and Kid Rock, real name Robert James Richie, will wed on July 29 aboard a yacht near the posh French Riviera town. In a statement on her web site she says, "Yes. I'm finally getting remarried... it's been a whirlwind... spontaneous, but well thought through. Feels like I've been stuck in a time warp. Not able to let go of my family picture... it's been sad and lonely and frustrating... I've raised my kids alone in hope of a miracle. Well my miracle came and went. And came back and came back because he knew that I'd wake up one day and realise that I was waiting for nothing. I'm moving on... I feel like I'm finally free... I'm in love. I'm happy... I see the light... sounds dramatic but it's true.. I know some women can relate to this. My children are getting older. They know the truth and they are strong, smart kids. They love their Dad. They love their new Step-Dad who they've known for years…time will pass. Wounds will heal. Some people may never grow up. Actions speak louder than words... Watch!" Anderson has two sons Dylan and Brandon from her previous marriage to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, while Kid Rock has a son, Robert James Ritchie Jr., from a previous relationship.

Cusack Granted Restraining Order

High Fidelity star John Cusack has won a restraining order to keep a Los Angeles woman at least 100 yards away from him. The actor, 40, filed court papers in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming Emily Leatherman was a threat to him, prompting a Santa Monica, California judge to rule that the defendant must stay away from Cusack and resist any way attempt to communicate him. Runaway Jury actor Cusack, who did not attend the hearing yesterday morning, alleged Leatherman, who was present, had sent him letters and had attempted to meet him at official functions during the past 18 months.

Spears Wins Magazine Apology

Pop superstar Britney Spears has won an apology from National Enquirer magazine, after the publication claimed her marriage to Kevin Federline was over. The singer, who did not ask for damages, was said to be about to divorce Federline in the Enquirer's British and Irish editions last month. But an apology and retraction has now been published in both editions, which hit news stands yesterday . The apology reads: "We now accept that their marriage is not over and they are not getting divorced. These allegations are untrue and we now accept Britney's position that the statements are without foundation. We apologise for any distress caused." Spears' lawyer Paul Tweed says, "We had put the Enquirer on notice regarding several false and defamatory articles regarding the state of the marriage of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline. The couple are very satisfied with the Enquirer's prompt and good faith response." Spears married Federline in 2004. She is currently pregnant with the couple's second child.

Culkin and Kunis Escape From Israel

Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin and his girlfriend, That 70s Show actress Mila Kunis, narrowly escaped from Israel after their vacation was ruined by rocket fire from Lebanon. The couple were enjoying a relaxing holiday when rocket fire hit the Israeli town of Haifa, where the couple was staying. Culkin insisted the pair immediately leave the country, but Kunis was reluctant to end her holiday early, telling the Jerusalem Post, "He's a drama queen." The couple eventually decided to return to the US and Culkin told a flight attendant on their plane that wasn't the only problem the couple encountered on the trip. He said, "We went to the beach, and there were tons of jellyfish - so we figured that even the sea was dangerous."

Johansson Joins Portman for Period Piece

Lost in Translation star Scarlett Johansson has joined Natalie Portman and Eric Bana for The Other Boleyn Girl. The film is based on Philippa Gregory's historical novel, with Johansson and Garden State star Portman playing two fiercely ambitious sisters, Mary and Ann Boleyn, who were rivals for the heart of 16th century British monarch King Henry VIII, played by Munich actor Bana. Executives from BBC Films, which originally acquired the book rights and made a 2003 TV film starring Natascha McElhone and Jared Harris, are also producing the project. Filming is scheduled to begin this autumn in London, with Justin Chadwick slated to direct.

Madonna and Ritchie "Back on Track"

After enduring a rough patch in their relationship, Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie are stronger than ever and are even considering adopting a child. Guy's father John Ritchie caused headlines earlier this year when he spoke about the celebrity couple's marital strife, but now claims the family is back together. He tells American publication In Touch Weekly, "Their marriage is back on track. I know that Madonna is away a lot at the moment and leaving Guy alone, but it just isn't a problem. He knows that will happen and he is not worried about it at all. He doesn't mind her working. Their marriage is back on track." The elder Ritchie even addressed rumors that the couple may be adding to their family saying, "I love my grandchildren, and of course nothing would make me happier than if they do adopt. How lovely to have another one, it sounds like such great, great fun. I'm sure both Rocco and Lourdes would love it as they are so close and another sibling would be super."

'Desperate Housewives' Stars To Snub Emmy Awards?

Four Desperate Housewives stars - Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Nicollette Sheridan - are reportedly refusing to attend the Emmy ceremony next month , because they weren't nominated for any awards. The show was nominated for 15 Emmys in 2005, but received only one acting nomination this year - for Alfre Woodard as Best Supporting Actress In A Comedy. A source close to the actresses tells the Los Angeles Times, "None of them are going. Felicity Huffman may go as a presenter because she won the lead actress Emmy last year and they usually have last year's winner present this year's award. But the rest of them are definitely not going. If you're not nominated, you really don't have a reason to go. It's a lot of prep work to get in shape, all made-up, pick gowns and dressed up to these things. It's exhausting. And if you're not up for an award and it's just going to be embarrassing why go?"

Bass-Lehmkuhl Friendship Sparks Gay Rumors

Former 'N Sync singer Lance Bass has sparked speculation he is homosexual and dating The Amazing Race reality TV star Reichen Lehmkuhl after the pair were spotted partying at gay bars together. Since the boy band leaped to fame in 1997, his bandmates Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez and Joey Fatone have been romantically linked to a host of female celebrities, but Bass' lovelife has remained low-key. The New York Post newspaper reported last week that Bass and Lehmkuhl - who won the 2003 prize in the Amazing Race with his former lover Chip Arndt - were together at gay bar Atlantic House in Provincetown, Massachusetts. Kevin Naff, managing editor of leading gay and lesbian newspaper The Washington Blade, tells ABC News, "Perhaps the Post is not outright saying Lance is gay. But by implication, we can all easily connect the dots." Naff says several bloggers on the newspaper's website have spotted Bass at a series of parties in Provincetown, a seaside gay hotspot. He adds, "If privacy is what Lance wants, that's something that's easy to have. But if you're Lance Bass, and you're going to the gayest town on the gayest day of the year and going to gay parties, you have to expect something." Bass' spokeswoman Cindy Owen and Lehmkuhl's spokeswoman Mara Santino have refused to comment on the Post reports.

Supermodel Linda Evangelista is on the cover of the American edition of Vogue magazine's August issue - at the age of 41 and pregnant with her first child. Evangelista is the first non-Hollywood star to feature on the publication's cover in over a year. Inside, the beauty reveals she never had any aspirations to turn to acting or singing. She says, "I decided when I was 12 that it's what I wanted to do and I count my blessings that I got to realize my dreams. Being a rock star was out of the question. I can't sing. I'm so glad this worked out for me, I do think I know how to be a good model. And I didn't have a plan B in place."
