Usher Takes on 'Chicago' Role

R&B superstar Usher has signed up to make his Broadway, New York City, debut in the hit musical Chicago. The hitmaker will take on the role of slick lawyer Billy Flynn in the stage show, according to husband and wife producers Barry and Fran Weissler. The 27-year-old says, "I have always admired Broadway actors for their showmanship, dedication and focus that goes into performing live on stage every night. Being on Broadway allows you to connect to audiences in a whole new way that's different from music and movies." Usher will first take to the stage on August 22 and his run ends on October 1.
