Jones Reynolds: "Barbara Didn't Have My Back"

Embattled talk show host Star Jones Reynolds has launched another scathing attack on former boss Barbara Walters insisting she "didn't have my back." Jones Reynolds announced that she was leaving The View, live on air on Tuesday morning, stunning her co-workers and the audience. She called American Idol host Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM morning show on Wednesday, claiming she was the one who was actually betrayed by Walters, not the other way around. She claims the animosity began when she found out her contract was not being renewed after nine years and that rival Rosie O'Donnell was being added as a co-host. She said, "I honestly understood it was a business decision when I was told then (that her contract wasn't being renewed), but then in the same week, I was told that they were adding another co-host and that it was Rosie O'Donnell. And that was in the same week that she had been so nasty and insulting and vicious. (She) publicly she insulted me; she tried to damage me professionally and personally. If anyone should feel betrayed, then it should probably be me. Because in the same week that I was told I was not being renewed, that's the same week that Rosie O'Donnell vilified me in the media and the exact same week that Barbara, my mentor, my colleague and friend of nine years, called her and invited her to be co-host on The View. She didn't have my back." Jones Reynolds is set to tell-all on Larry King Live on Thursday night.
Timberlake & Diaz Recover from "Rough Patch"
Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz have flown to Barcelona, Spain to repair their relationship after hitting a "rough patch." Last week veteran Hollywood reporter Janet Charlton reported on her website that Timberlake had dumped Diaz so he could "sow his wild oats" on his upcoming world tour. Timberlake's manager Johnny Wright has hit back at the claim, telling American publication Us Weekly, "There was no break-up." The couple flew to Barcelona on Sunday to spend quality time together while Timberlake films the video for his first single "Sexyback" off his new album Futuresex/Lovesounds. A source tells the magazine, "They hit a bumpy patch, but reports were exaggerated." Timberlake's former 'N Sync bandmate Chris Kirkpatrick confirms the couple are still going strong, saying, "Justin talks about Cameron all the time. He says she thinks for herself and he likes that because he didn't see that quality in girls he dated before her."
Desperate Spears Dyed Hair To Help Image

Pregnant pop star Britney Spears was so devastated by the negative reaction she received after her appearance on news show Dateline NBC, she chopped off all her hair and dyed it black to help her image. The singer received a barrage of criticism for appearing on the show in a sheer, low-cut top, denim mini-skirt and flip-flops earlier this month. She reportedly insisted on doing her own hair and makeup for the interview and was slammed for appearing "disheveled" with the New York Post reporting that fans called her hair a "rat's nest." A source tells American publication Us Weekly after the interview, "She felt terrible. She pulled out her extensions and bought a bottle of dark hair dye. She didn't understand her image problem until the negative feedback about Dateline." Spears' representative insists the singer checked with her doctor first to see if dying her hair was safe for her unborn child adding, "It's vegetable dye and will wash right out." She then chopped her hair into a short bob, neglecting to tell editors of fashion magazine Harper's Bazaar, who were featuring her on an upcoming cover, what she had done. Spears showed up at the cover photo shoot last Friday with her new look and according to Us Weekly, the magazine's editors were "horrified." Stylists for the shoot had to work quickly to undo the damage and decided to add brunette hair extensions at the last minute.
Longoria Crashes Kidman & Urban's Honeymoon
Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban jetted to Tahiti on Monday for a private honeymoon away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi - only to find Eva Longoria staying at the same resort with boyfriend Tony Parker. Pictures of the Desperate Housewives star frolicking in the waves have already been published by paparazzi staking out the luxury resort. The 31-year-old and her French boyfriend are staying just feet away along the timber boardwalk from Kidman and Urban's over-water villa at the St. Regis resort in Bora Bora. Longoria and Parker's commercial flight touched down just minutes after Kidman and Urban landed in the main port city on their private Gulfstream jet from Sydney, Australia. The high-profile guests have sent the resort into high security mode, with staff on jet skis regularly patrolling the perimeter of the resort to discourage paparazzi. Kidman and Urban have been spending much of their time tucked away in their bungalow, which is equipped with a private pool. Meanwhile, Longoria and Parker have been seen regularly cruising around the island in one of the golf carts that guests at the resort use as transportation. Kidman and Urban are expected to stay in Bora Bora until the weekend, before returning to their home to Nashville, Tennessee.
Spelling: "I Never Said Goodbye"
Tori Spelling is devastated she never had the chance to say goodbye to her father Aaron Spelling before he died, because of her strained relationship with her mother Candy. The former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress has hit out at her mother, Claiming she was betrayed and wasn't informed how seriously ill her father actually was. The 33-year-old has been estranged from her family since her divorce from Charlie Shanian last year and whirlwind wedding to Canadian actor Dean McDermott. Tori says she had only seen her 83-year-old father on one occasion since last September. She tells American publication Us Weekly she didn't realise her visit on June 11 with her father would be her last. She explains, "I was led to believe he had more time. And so I never said goodbye. The last time I saw him, it was sort of a goodbye, but not a formal one. I just didn't know. Honestly, I believe 100 percent that (he was holding on for me). And part of me knew as soon as I saw him that he would start to let go." Tori says their final conversation took place just days after his stroke on Father's Day. She adds, "The last words he spoke to me were over the phone a couple days before he passed. He said, 'I love you, babe.'"
Nick Nolte Settles Sex Lawsuit

The parents of a girl who was 15-years-old when she had sex at Nick Nolte's home have settled their lawsuit against the actor and his son. The girl, now 18, was 15 when she attended a party at the actor's Malibu, California home in January 2003 and because of her age, was found to be a victim of statutory rape. Her parents sued the actor on her behalf in November 2004, alleging Nolte was liable for damages because his home has had "a long history of furnishing drugs and/or alcohol to minors." Nicholas Woodring, a 20-something friend of Nolte's son, Brawley Nolte, was convicted in March 2004 of a misdemeanor count of having sex with a minor. A final status conference in the case was scheduled for Tuesday, but it was cancelled after a settlement notice was filed in a Santa Monica, California court last Thursday. The terms of the agreement were not available in the court records. The actor was not home during the party, according to his publicist. According to the civil suit, Nolte's son conspired with Woodring and another unnamed defendant to plan and execute the sexual assault. The Noltes contend in their court papers that they were named as defendants in the lawsuit solely for "their given high profile, star power and deep pockets." In January, the 64-year-old actor successfully completed his probation stemming from a 2002 no-contest plea to a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of GHB. Nolte was arrested in 2002 after driving erratically and claimed that he inadvertently consumed GHB in the course of taking a weight-lifting supplement.
