The Tomb Raider beauty, 30, welcomed her first biological child in The Cottage Hospital in Swakopmund, Namibia, on Saturday. The handsome pair also have two adopted children Maddox, four, and Zahara, 16 months. Shiloh means "peaceful one" while Nouvel is French for "new." Jolie's mother Marcheline Bertrand is French. Environment and Tourism Deputy Minister Leon Jooste released a statement, saying, "It is with enormous pleasure that I inform the Namibian nation about the birth of Angelina's healthy baby girl early this morning. The entire procedure went according to plan and there were no medical or other complications at all. Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt will according to Namibian law be allowed to obtain Namibian citizenship if the parents should choose to do so. The couple are thoroughly overjoyed and they have expressed their happiness to be able to share this experience in Namibia." The Mr. And Mrs. Smith co-stars arrived in Namibia on April 5 with their children and their heavy security at the Burning Shores resort has prevented paparazzi intrusion.
Loach and Cruz Win at Cannes

British director Ken Loach and Spanish star Penelope Cruz were among the big winners at the climax of the Cannes Film Festival on the French Riviera on Sunday. The film-maker's drama The Wind That Shakes The Barley, which stars Cillian Murphy as an Irish medical student who joins the guerrilla war against British forces, picked up the Palme D'Or - the highest award of the festival. Accepting the trophy, Loach said, "We live in extraordinary times and that has made people political in a way they maybe weren't in the previous four, five, six years. The wars that we have seen, the occupations that we see throughout the world - people finally cannot turn away from that. It's very exciting to be able to deal with this in films, and not just be a complement to the popcorn." Cruz shared the Best Actress prize with her Volver castmates Carmen Maura, Yohana Cobo and Lola Duenas, while French Indigenes stars Jamel Debbouze, Samy Naceri and Sami Bouajila were joint winners of the Best Actor prize. In her acceptance speech, Cruz paid tribute to Volver director Pedro Almodovar, saying, "This prize really belongs to Pedro. You are the greatest, the bravest. You put so much magic into our lives. Thanks for what you do for women all over the world." Meanwhile, Mexican film-maker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu picked up the Best Director prize for Babel, a multi-cultural film starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. The nine member jury was headed by Hong Kong director Wong Kar-Wai and included Samuel L. Jackson, Helena Bonham Carter, Tim Roth, Monica Bellucci and Ziyi Zhang.

Swank and Lowe To Divorce

Two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank has ended all hope that she'll reconcile with husband Chad Lowe after announcing she's planning to file for divorce. The couple split late last year and Swank announced the sad news at the beginning of 2006, but has since been seen dining with Lowe, the brother of actor Rob Lowe. Now, however, she plans to make the split official and has told her attorney Jeffrey A. Bernstein to announce the news. In a statement released to US publication People on Friday , Bernstein says, "Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe have jointly decided to divorce. 'Deadwood' Dead?

Fans of cult US TV western series Deadwood are about to be broken hearted - the show's upcoming third season will be its last. Creator David Milch has turned down the chance to film a shortened fourth season, preferring, instead, to end the show, set in the late 1800s, at the conclusion of its upcoming run. Disappointed Milch says, "I'm not competent enough to assess what combination of circumstances appears today to have curtailed (the series)," but he has hinted that the budget may have upset network bosses at HBO - each one-hour episode took up to 16 days to shoot and cost an estimated $5 million per episode, more than twice that of most hour-long dramas. Fans had an inkling that the show was almost over last week when castmember W. Earl Brown revealed the sets were being dismantled in a posting on the series' website. He wrote, "I don't know where they are headed after the dismantling - to storage or to the dump." The show remains a huge hit - in two seasons, it has won the prestigious Peabody Award, five Emmy Awards and British star Ian McShane picked up a Best Actor Golden Globe for his portrayal of foul-mouthed gang boss Al Swearengen.
Stefani and Rossdale Welcome Baby Kingston

Pop star Gwen Stefani is a mother after giving birth to her baby in Los Angeles on Friday. The No Doubt star and rocker husband Gavin Rossdale welcomed baby son Kingston James McGregor Rossdale into the world at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center by Caesarean section. A spokesman for the couple says, "Mother and baby are doing fine," while on her official website, the proud mum announces Kingston weighed in at 7.5 pounds. It's the first child for the 36-year-old singer. The former Bush frontman has a teenage daughter, Daisy Lowe, from a brief romance with British fashion designer Pearl Lowe. Rossdale wasn't convinced he was Daisy's father until he took a Dna test in 2004. He and Stefani were married in ceremonies in London and Los Angeles in 2002. They fell in love after meeting backstage at a concert in 1995.
Berry Suffers Food Poisoning Onboard Ship

A promotional trip onboard US Navy stronghold USS Kearsarge turned sour for Halle Berry on Thursday when she was hit with a bout of food poisoning. The actress dined on shrimp onboard the ship, harbored in New York for Fleet Week, before meeting and greeting sailors as part of a publicity stunt to promote new film X-Men: The Last Stand when she started feeling ill. She says, "I ate some shrimp on the boat and I'm not allergic to shrimp but I guess I am - bad shrimp. The funny thing was I went out and I wanted to shake as many hands as I could and I wanted to see as many people, so I'm shaking hands and all of a sudden my head feels like it's on fire and I notice some of the guys kinda looking at me funny. They must have been thinking, 'Well, up close, she is busted,' because these things started to pop up on my face and my body started to itch. I went down to the infirmary and I got a big whopping shot of Benadryl and it put me out. And then I went to sleep for two hours. So that was my experience... I was in some admiral's room, knocked out." But the boat trip wasn't a complete bust for the sexy actress. Before she fell ill one hunky sailor proposed to her: "I think it was serious. That was great."

'Lost' Stars To Be Turned Into Action Figures

The stars of hit TV drama Lost are to be turned into action figures by toymaking giants McFarlane Toys. In a licensing agreement with Disney-ABC Television Group's Touchstone Television, McFarlane Toys will produce a series of action figures, which will be in stores at the end of the year. The first batch of six characters will feature Jack ( Matthew Fox), Kate ( Evangeline Lilly), Hurley ( Jorge Garcia), Locke ( Terry O'Quinn), Charlie ( Dominic Monaghan) and Shannon ( Maggie Grace). Each action figure will come complete with a detailed base and photographic backdrop, capturing an episode-specific moment in the character's story. McFarlane Toys boss Todd McFarlane recently spent time with the cast on location in Hawaii, where the desert island drama is filmed, to develop artistic likenesses of the stars. He says, "All of the key cast members were kind enough to allow me to scan their facial likenesses, so we can make the figures as realistic as possible. We now have the data. In the end, we hope to be able to re-create all of the major cast members. As the years go by, fans of the show will be able to collect their own society of Lost characters."
