Chef Returns for 'South Park' Premiere

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have filmed a last-minute episode of South Park in response to Scientologist Isaac Hayes' request to be released from his contract because the show mocked his religion. The creators are launching the tenth season of the series on US network Comedy Central on Wednesday, with an episode featuring Hayes' character Chef. Because South Park episodes only take six days to create, Stone and Parker were able to react to the current controversy soon after it happened. According to a Comedy Central press release, the show will feature, "The triumphant homecoming of school chef Jerome McElroy. While Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman are thrilled to have their old friend back, they notice that something about Chef seems different. When Chef's strange behavior starts getting him in trouble, the boys pull out all stops to save him."

Spelling Angers Parents

Former Beverly Hills 90210 star Tori Spelling's parents have reportedly stopped talking to her after poking fun at her mother in a recent episode of her new show. Aaron Spelling and Candy Spelling were furious after watching their daughter's comedy series So NoTORIous, in which Tori allegedly parodies her mother's "eBay room." A friend tells gossip site PageSix.com, "There is a scene in the first episode of her new show, So NoTORIous, in which she makes fun of the eBay room in her parents' house. Her mother has a huge shopping problem and has a whole room dedicated to the stuff she buys on the site. When Candy saw the episode, she threatened Tori and said she was going to sue her." Spelling's spokesperson said on her behalf, "We take poetic license with everyone and every story line on the show." So NoTORIous premieres on VH1 on April 2.

Donald Trump a Dad Again

Tycoon Donald Trump has become a father for the fifth time, after his wife Melania Knauss gave birth to a baby boy yesterday. The 59-year-old billionaire made the announcement in an interview on US TV this morning, just 20 minutes after the young Trump was born. The Apprentice star told MSNBC's Imus In The Morning show, "Everyone's perfect. I continue to stay young, right? I produce children, I stay young." The couple have yet to decide on a name for the baby, a younger half-brother for Trump's older offspring, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric - from his marriage to Ivana Trump - and Tiffany, from Trump's marriage to second wife Marla Maples. Trump married Slovenian model Melania, 35, in a star-studded Florida ceremony in January 2005, after a five-year courtship.

Broccoli Begins Work on 'Casino Royale' Sequel

James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli is so certain Daniel Craig will be a huge hit playing 007, she has already started working on the sequel to forthcoming movie Casino Royale. Craig has come under intense scrutiny since he was announced as Pierce Brosnan's successor last year, with die hard fans setting up a website encouraging cinema-goers to boycott his debut as Bond. But Broccoli is convinced Craig is the perfect person to give the traditionally suave superspy a grittier, rawer edge. And she has shown her commitment to Craig's appointment by announcing his second role before Casino Royale has even completed filming. She says, "We are already working on the sequel. We're in the early stages of that. It will be an original story but will continue part of what the story is in Casino Royale."

'Sopranos' Cast Demands Pay Raise

Cast members of hit mafia series The Sopranos are demanding higher salaries after the show's bosses extended the period over which they will broadcast the final 20 episodes. Stars including Michael Imperioli, who plays Tony Soprano's hotheaded nephew Christopher, and Lorraine Bracco, who plays Tony's shrink, Dr. Melfi, are having their pay renegotiated after insisting that splitting the series is equivalent to two season's work rather than one, according to the Wall Street Journal. However, bosses at HBO disagree, claiming that all 20 episodes are still part of the same season and do not warrant double pay. Sopranos star James Gandolfini has already successfully renegotiated himself a $1 million deal for each of the final eight shows, and more minor characters hope to follow suit. Despite the confusion, a spokesman for HBO is adamant cast members will not stage a walkout: "We're confident that everyone will be signed for the last eight episodes."

Phoenix and Witherspoon Among CMT Nominees

Walk The Line stars Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon have been lauded for their musical talent as well as acting - picking up a nod at this year's CMT Music Awards. Phoenix, who plays Johnny Cash in the acclaimed biopic, and his Oscar-winning co-star, have been nominated for Collaborative Video of the Year for their duet "Jackson." The track originally earned country legend Cash and June Carter Cash a Grammy in 1967. Phoenix and Witherspoon will face tough competition from Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton, Faith Hill with Tim McGraw and Bon Jovi with Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland at the ceremony - which will takes place on April 10 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Richard Dreyfuss Marries

Actor Richard Dreyfuss married Russian-born Svetlana Erokhin in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on Thursday - while in town for a speaking engagement at a university. The Mr. Holland's Opus star, who spoke at James Madison University, appeared unannounced at the Rockingham County Courthouse, took out a marriage license and wed in the magistrate's office. According to university spokesman Andy Perrine, "We had no idea (they would be marrying). Although one look at Svetlana and you wouldn't be surprised he wanted to marry her. She's beautiful and has a sultry Russian accent. She is clearly head over heels in love with Richard, who is captivatingly funny. They were like two young loves who couldn't seem to get enough of each other." It is the third marriage for The Goodbye Girl star, who is divorced from second wife Janelle Lacey. He was also previously married to TV production assistant Jeramie Rain from 1983-1995, with whom he has three children.

Engine Trouble Blamed for Tomarken Crash

American National Transportation and Safety Board investigators believe engine failure is to blame for a plane crash which killed former game show host Peter Tomarken and his wife. A preliminary investigation shows the plane's engine had extensive damage, including a hole in the engine's case. Tomarken was flying the plane when it crashed into the ocean near Santa Monica, California, last Monday, killing Tomarken and his wife Kathleen. The couple were en route to San Diego, California, where they were scheduled to pick up a patient for transport to the University of California Medical Center in Los Angeles. The trip was part of the volunteer program Angel Flight which provides flights to those unable to afford medical transportation. Tomarken hosted a series of game shows in the 1980s, including Press Your Luck.

Blake Plans Acting Comeback

Baretta star Robert Blake is planning an acting comeback, one year after he was acquitted of murdering his wife Bonnie Lee Bakley. The 72-year-old actor, real name Michael James Gubitosi, was arrested one year after his wife was found shot to death in their car in May 2001, close to a Studio City, California restaurant where they had just dined. But the 1970s TV star, who is currently working as a stable-hand for friends, claims he is ready to take on the world once again. He says, "I want to live. I've woken up some nights and wanted to drive till the car goes off a cliff. And an hour later, poetry is coming to me. I want to go act. I want to go teach. I want to dance. I can be an actor no matter what happens. I was in the middle of a job when my father committed suicide and I went to work the next day." Blake pleaded not guilty to the charges, telling police he had returned to Vitello's Italian restaurant to collect a gun he had left at the table when Bakley was shot outside. He was forced to declare bankruptcy in 2005 when a court asked him to pay his wife's family $30 million damages in a civil suit.

Moore: "I Want Nothing To Do with 'Vendetta' Film"

V For Vendetta creator Alan Moore is desperate to be disassociated from the screen adaptation of his classic comic strip - and is begging the producers not to credit him for his work. The cartoonist, who also conceived From Hell and The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen, hates seeing his work diluted by movie-makers, and refuses to put his name to the result. He says, "I want them to say, 'We're not going to give you any money for your work, you're not going to get any credit for it and we're not going to put your name on it.' To see a line of dialogue or a character that I have poured that much emotional involvement into, to see them casually travestied and watered down and distorted... it's kind of painful. It's much better just to avoid them altogether."
