Celeb Housekeeper Sent to Jail

The Polish housekeeper convicted of stealing from a string of celebrities including Robert De Niro and Boston Legal star Candice Bergen was yesterday sentenced to serve up to three years behind bars. Lucyna Turyk-Wawrynowicz pleaded guilty to grand larceny, identity theft and forgery on February 8 and will spend between one and three years in jail. The 35-year-old pleaded with State Supreme Court Justice Renee White to deport her to Poland because her sister has recently died, leaving her nephews and nieces without anyone to care for them. But Justice White ignored Turyk-Wawrynowicz tears, saying, "You have shown no remorse for your actions, but only remorse for your predicament." Turyk-Wawrynowicz stole a pair of diamond earrings belonging to De Niro's wife, Grace Hightower, worth a staggering $95,500.

It's Love for Berry and Aubry

Oscar-winner Halle Berry and her new boyfriend Gabriel Aubry are "in Love," according to the Canadian model's father. The stunning actress, 39, and Aubry, 30, have been quietly dating since meeting on the set of a Versace ad campaign in November, but finally went public at a Versace store re-opening in New York City on February 7. And according to associates and family members, the couple are completely smitten with each other. Aubry's father Gerard told US magazine People, "He told me he was in love." While his agent Sean Patterson says, "It was something that was completely unexpected, and he's just enjoying each day as it goes by. He's very, very happy right now."

Dion and John Team Up for Hurricane Victims

Superstars Celine Dion and Sir Elton John performed a series of duets on Monday to raise money for victims of last year's hurricane disasters. The Canadian singer, 37, and flamboyant Brit, 58, appeared at a benefit at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, with $2.1 million going to employees of Harrah's Entertainment Inc chain of casinos, who were affected by Hurricane Katrina and Rita last summer. John enthuses, "I've played in Biloxi (Mississippi) many times. I'm just glad we can do a little something for those people's lives that will never be the same again for many, many years. God bless them."

'Guantanamo' Actors Questioned at London Airport

The stars of the controversial movie The Road To Guantanamo were questioned by police under anti-terrorism laws on Thursday upon arrival at London Luton airport. Actors Farhad Harun, Rizwan Ahmed, Shafiq Rusul and Rhuhel Ahmed were returning to their native Britain from the Berlin Film Festival in Germany, where the Michael Winterbottom-directed movie picked up a Silver Bear award. The Road To Guantanamo tells the story of the Tipton Three, a group of men from England who journeyed to Pakistan to arrange a wedding and found themselves imprisoned in the Guantanamo Bay detention centre in Cuba for two years, before being released without charge. Ahmed alleges he was verbally abused by an office, his mobile phone was taken away from him, and police told him he could be in their custody for up to 48 hours without access to a lawyer. He also claims a police office asked him if he planned to star in any more "political films." Bedfordshire Police say the men were not arrested, adding, "Six people were stopped under the Terrorism Act. This is something that happens all the time and obviously at airports and train stations. There is a heightened state of security since the London bombings. Public safety is paramount."

Parton Attending Oscars Without Husband

Country superstar Dolly Parton will be walking the red carpet without her husband Carl Dean on Oscar night - because he refuses to attend the glitzy awards show as her date. The singer, whose "Travelin' Thru'" tune from hit film Transamerica is nominated in the Achievement In Music Written For Motion Pictures category, had hoped to take her husband, but ultra-private Dean will not be joining her. Parton says, "My date's gonna be Duncan Tucker, the writer/director of Transamerica, because he's just such a wonderful guy and he'll make a good escort. My husband wouldn't go anyway, so I'd either have to find somebody else's husband or take Duncan." And Parton insists she isn't going to let her husband's anti-social behavior upset her big night. She adds, "I'm gonna walk the red carpet and do all that stuff and get a chance to see some of those big movie stars I've always wanted to meet. I'm gonna make a night of it."

'Jurassic Park 4' To Begin Shooting Next Year?

Director Steven Spielberg will reportedly begin filming the fourth installment of Jurassic Park next year. The Munich director is also currently getting ready to resurrect the Indiana Jones franchise with Harrison Ford later this year. Producer Frank Marshall confirms the script for the next version of the dinosaur epic has been finalized: "It has a good script now, so we should have that one up and running next year, for release in 2008." The character of Lexie, the granddaughter of Sir Richard Attenborough's character, is expected to be the lead role in the new film, according to Moviehole.net.

Cuba Gooding Jr. Performed 'Jerry Maguire' Scene in Car

Cuba Gooding Jr.'s famous "Show me the money" scene in Jerry Maguire, was recorded while the actor was stuck in Los Angeles traffic. Co-star Tom Cruise was filming the classic shot in which he is trying to negotiate a contract with Gooding Jr.'s sports star character over the phone, but Gooding Jr. was still making his way to the studios. The actor, who won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role Academy Award for his performance, explains, "When we shot Tom Cruise's side of that, he was in the studio and I was on my way to the studio because my call (time) wasn't until later. They were just going to have the director read my lines (while Tom was on the other end of the phone) but the director said, 'No, I want Cuba.' I was in the car, in traffic, yelling, 'Show me the money!' all the way through onto the Sony (Pictures) lot. Then when we pulled up on the lot, there was a crowd of people saying 'What's going on?' The security guards came to the sound stage because they said, 'There's this black man yelling and screaming on the phone!'"

Heath Ledger is so close to his Brokeback Mountain co-star Jake Gyllenhaal, he has asked him to be Godfather to his four-month-old daughter Matilda. Gyllenhaal, whose turn in the movie earned him a Best Supporting Actor BAFTA on Sunday, credits the movie with building a unique bond between them.
