Swank & Lowe Trying To Save Marriage

Oscar winner Hilary Swank is refusing to give up on her marriage, despite announcing she and husband Chad Lowe have split. The Boys Don't Cry star secretly split from Lowe late last year and spent Christmas and New Year alone before making news of the break-up official. But she insists both she and Lowe are doing everything they can to save their 13-year marriage. She says, "It's not over, we're not divorced. We've been together for over 13 years and there's a lot of love there...We're still married." The couple is reportedly attending counseling sessions in an effort to reconcile.

Phoenix Loses Pocket Money Bet to Phillippe

Joaquin Phoenix had to pay up $220 to pal Ryan Phillippe after claiming the Best Actor prize at the Golden Globes on Monday night, because he lost a bet with the Crash star. Phoenix was stunned when he claimed the award for his portrayal of country icon Johnny Cash in biopic Walk The Line, and won and lost at the same time after Phillippe reminded him of a bet they had. Phillippe, who is married to Phoenix's co-star Reese Witherspoon insisted Phoenix would take home the big prize. The actor says, "He (Phillippe) bet me that I would win and I said, 'No way.' I bet him whatever I had in my pocket, which was $220."

Houston and Brown To Divorce?

Superstar Whitney Houston and fallen R&B singer Bobby Brown's 14-year marriage is reportedly on the rocks, with the couple planning to divorce. The New York Daily News reports the My Prerogative singer, 36, has been telling friends and acquaintances he is divorcing Houston, 42, after an infamously tumultuous marriage. Earlier this month, the former New Edition band member was reportedly seen flirting with a group of beauties backstage at an all-star concert featuring R&B groups SWV, Guy and Blackstreet at the Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. A backstage source tells the Daily News, "While flirting with a bunch of women, they asked, 'What's up with your wife?' Bobby said, 'We ain't together no more. We're getting a divorce.'" The couple are frequently at the centre of tabloid stories about their admitted drug and alcohol battles and in December 2003, Brown was arrested on charges of misdemeanor battery against Houston in their Georgia home. The couple have one child together - daughter Bobbi Kristina, 12.

Duchovny Set for Hulk Role?

Former X-Files star David Duchovny is set to become the new Incredible Hulk after Aussie actor Eric Bana pulled out of the sequel project. Peter Cuneo, the vice chairman of comic book franchise Marvel, revealed Duchovny is the frontrunner to play the green giant in The Incredible Hulk 2 in a recent interview with AOL's Motley Fool Radio Team. He said, "Duchovny's name has been bought up several times. He's quite the fan too." Bana pulled out of the sequel when he discovered the plan was to release the film direct to DVD. Cuneo insists there's still life in the Hulk project: "Hulk did $250 million worldwide box office, which is a huge box office, and as you may recall, we had tremendous success with our toy line, which was a complete sell-out, over $100 million worldwide."

Ford Gives Spielberg & Lucas Indiana Jones Deadline

Harrison Ford has given movie moguls Steven Spielberg and George Lucas a two-year time frame to make the fourth Indiana Jones film. The ageing action man is confident the next installment of the heroic adventurer's exploits will make it to the big screen eventually, but he's keen to hurry the process along. The 63-year-old says, "It's looking very good to do another one. I haven't felt this positive about it happening in a long time... but if it doesn't happen in the next two years we should all forget it." The film is tentatively scheduled to begin production next year.

China Delays 'Geisha' Release Over Sex Scene

Chinese censors have delayed the release of Memoirs Of A Geisha for the second time because of concerns over a sex scene. The movie was originally set to debut in Beijing on January 9, but was delayed until February 10. A Sony Pictures executive has confirmed censorship was the issue and that a few seconds of footage had to be cut. Memoirs Of A Geisha's release was highly anticipated and stars two of China's best know actors, Gong Li and Ziyi Zhang. The film is widely available on pirated DVDs in China. The movie is not currently on the China Film Group's distribution schedule and no new release date has been announced.

Murphy Denies Surgery

Brittany Murphy has denied rumors she has had cosmetic surgery, but confesses she'd consider it. A British magazine this week claims Murphy may have had lip implants to boost her pout, following previous rumors she has had surgery on her nose. But the 8 Mile actress insists her changing appearance is because of a series of accidents. She says, "I have broken my nose three times but I've never had it fixed. I know it changed the shape of it. True beauty comes from within, but if it (surgery) makes you feel better about yourself, go for it."

Diddy Perfume Ad Censored

A fragrance ad showing rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs in bed with two scantily clad women has been pulled, after being deemed too racy for department stores. The steamy commercial depicted the hip-hop star in bed with two models, in a situation which implied the threesome had enjoyed sexual relations. But the Estee Lauder publicity drive was thought inappropriate for family stores, and a new shoot with just one model has replaced the raunchy original. John Demsey, global president of Estee Lauder, says, "It is unfortunate that some people were so uncomfortable with something with that much sexual presence. But we stand by it." The original image will remain on billboards.

Parker: 'Legalize Cannabis'

Golden Globe winner Mary-Louise Parker has urged the Us Government to legalize marijuana, after playing a cannabis-selling mother in her hit comedy Weeds. The 41-year-old actress, who won her second Golden Globe for her portrayal of drug-dealing Nancy Botwin on Monday night, has been surprised by the public and critical response to the show, and admits she expected her character's controversial job to offend a lot of Us TV viewers. She says, "I'm really in favor of legalizing marijuana. I don't think it's that controversial. I thought people would be more offended by this than they are. I'm surprised they weren't." Parker adds she was stunned she beat Desperate Housewives stars Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Eva Longoria to win Best Performance By An Actress In A Television Series - Musical Or Comedy last night. She adds, "I thought Felicity would win. I think we're all desperate housewives. My character is just a little bit more desperate than theirs."

Hatcher & Clooney Refuse To Address Date Rumor

Teri Hatcher and George Clooney are playing coy about their rumored romance, by refusing to chat about their reported date. Desperate Housewives star Hatcher is staying quiet about the 'date', while Clooney insists "it's a good rumor." The actress says, "If I went on a date with George Clooney I would not be talking about it." And gentleman George adds, "She is my neighbor, though, and she's beautiful."
