Lohan Confesses to Drugs and Bulimia

Teen movie queen Lindsay Lohan has admitted using drugs and suffering from bulimia in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine. The actress blames her demise on her destructive relationship with her father Michael Lohan, the stress of life in Hollywood and the trauma of her split from first love Wilmer Valderrama. The 19-year-old, who was admitted to hospital on Monday suffering an asthma attack in Miami, Florida, claims her bulimia became so bad, those close to her warned her she would die unless she sought help. She says, "I was making myself sick. I was sick. I had people sit me down and say, 'You're going to die if you don't take care of yourself." She lost so much weight the world's press began speculating she was suffering an eating disorder. The crunch for Lohan came after an appearance on comedy show Saturday Night Live last May, when producer Lorne Michaels confronted her. She says, "I just started bawling. I knew I had a problem, and I couldn't admit it. I saw that SNL after I did it. My arms were disgusting. I had no arms." Her mother Dina stepped in after a paparazzi photoshoot showed her looking alarmingly skinny. She adds, "I looked at it and was like, 'Jesus Christ.' My sister, she was scared. My brother called me, crying." Lohan doesn't reveal details about her drug use, confessing only to trying "a little" but insists, "I've gotten that out of my system." But she confesses to becoming a shopaholic to ease her pain - once spending $100,000 in one day.

Divorce Back on for Sheen and Richards

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards' divorce is on again. Actress Richards' attorney filed to have the existing papers handed over from the Los Angeles Superior Court to private arbiter Jill Robbins yesterday - in a bid to keep the divorce battle as private as possible. The news is as shocking as Richards initial decision to file for divorce last year because the couple recently returned from a pre-Christmas romantic break in Barbados. And back in November, Sheen explained "things are really good," while playing with his wedding ring. Richards filed for divorce from the actor last March, citing irreconcilable differences - while she was pregnant with their second child. The former Bond girl sparked gossip about the state of her marriage on New Year's Eve when she dumped Sheen and joined pal Heather Locklear at a Reo Speedwagon concert at Los Angeles' Canyon Club.

Schreiber Keeps Quiet Over Engagement Rumors

Hollywood star Liev Schreiber refused to comment on rumors he has proposed to girlfriend Naomi Watts, insisting he doesn't discuss his private life with the media. The couple started dating in April after meeting at the New York's Museum of Modern Art's Costume Institute Gala and have recently been at the center of engagement and pregnancy rumors. The Scream actor, 38, and King Kong beauty, 37, are currently vacationing with Watts' mother Miv and brother Ben in Sydney. When asked by the Sydney Telegraph newspaper if the pair were engaged, Schreiber said, "We don't discuss that with anybody. It's strange - well for me anyway - to be inundated with all this attention, and as a couple we have to struggle to keep our personal life personal." The couple are due to fly to Beijing, China later this month to film The Painted Veil together.

Hatcher Slams Highest Wage Reports

Desperate Housewives actress Teri Hatcher has hit back at reports she is the highest earner on the show, and that she is dieting to be the thinnest woman on Wisteria Lane. Hatcher, who plays frustrated single mom Susan Mayer in the hit ABC series, slammed the comments by a U.S. psychologist, claiming she has no idea of her co-stars Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman's salaries and wasn't first choice for the role she landed. Hatcher tells Marie Claire magazine, "They should have their license taken away for commenting on someone's health without them being a patient. "I don't even know if I earn the most... I make exactly what I made when I signed my initial contract, and I don't know what the other girls get." The single mother also slammed rumors that she is the biggest diva of all the housewives. She explains, "I wasn't anywhere near the top of the list to get this show. "Either I deserved it or someone thought I was the weakest person on the planet, and if they didn't so something spectacular for me, I'd off myself out of depression! "I know I will not be hot again soon. I don't know if that means two years or five years, but it lets me enjoy what is happening now to the fullest. "It also makes me smart about securing a future for me and for my family."

Sorvino Expecting Second Child

Oscar winner Mira Sorvino and her rocker husband Chris Backus are celebrating the New Year in style with news of a second baby. The couple, who wed in June 2004, are expecting a brother or sister for their daughter Mattea Angel this summer. It's been an interesting start of 2006 for the actress - she was sworn in as an honorary deputy sheriff in Pennsylvania last week and recently garnered a Golden Globe Awards nomination for her role in harrowing miniseries Human Trafficking.

'Da Vinci Code' Set for a Premiere at the Louvre?

Producers of much-anticipated movie The Da Vinci Code are considering staging the film's European premiere at the Louvre art gallery in Paris, France, where the story begins. Film executives are impressed with record-breaking figures from last year, which show more people than ever before visited the famous gallery, which houses the Mona Lisa among other great works. And they believe many tourists were inspired to make the trip by the book the film is based on, written by Dan Brown. Director Ron Howard was given special permission to shoot the movie in the Louvre, where the gruesome beginning of the book takes place. More than seven million people visited the gallery last year - a new record attendance.

Beckinsale Hates 'Underworld' Dolls

Actress Kate Beckinsale is delighted movie bosses have dumped plans for a doll version of her Underworld: Revolution character Selene - because the last ones made her look like a transsexual. The 32-year-old beauty, who met her director husband Len Wiseman on the set of the original Underworld film in 2003, would prefer the plastic figurines were not made at all. She says, "I looked like someone having a sex-change op."

Johansson: 'Because I'm Worth It'

Scarlett Johansson has signed a multi-million dollar deal to be the new spokesmodel for French beauty giant L'Oreal. The Lost in Translation star, 21, joined L'Oreal only weeks after her two-year contract with Calvin Klein fragrances ended. Johansson will be seen experimenting with different hair colours in the ads for L'Oreal's new line Hip High Intensity Pigments. Johansson enthuses, "It's wonderful to be working with L'Oreal, a company that has celebrated independent women for years. I'm very excited to be part of this campaign, which is modern and fashion forward." Johansson joins Beyonce Knowles, Natalie Imbruglia, Eva Longoria, Aishwarya Rai, Claudia Schiffer, Andie MacDowell and Milla Jovovich at L'Oreal.

Nolte's Conviction Expunged

Movie star Nick Nolte has had his criminal record expunged after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lawrence Mira gave him a glowing report at his final progress hearing this morning. Nolte has been called in to court for a number of progress report hearings after checking out of rehab following his 2002 arrest for driving under the influence of drugs. Nolte, dressed all in black and wearing a black hat, told reporters outside the courthouse he was grateful for the court's time over the past three years and he's keen to move on after his scandal. He said, "Last year was a very good year, I learned a lot. It was a growing year." Nolte admitted he now hopes to help other celebrities who find themselves in similar situations.

Stewart Still Wanted Back on the Enterprise

Hollywood bosses are still trying to entice Star Trek actor Patrick Stewart to return to the Starship Enterprise - but he fears he will be too old by the time they come up with the goods. The 65-year-old star, who played Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the television series and later movies, insists the offers would be tempting, if only he were a little younger. He says, "Weighty people in Hollywood have come up with a very interesting proposition. But they told me it was still two, three or four years down the road, by which time I would only be able to sit in the captain's chair and not have the energy to get out of it!"
