'Lost' Stars Plead Not Guilty

Actresses Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros have entered not guilty pleas at an arraignment hearing in Hawaii into their drink driving charges. The Lost co-stars, who were arrested in separate incidents on December 1, will now have to face the court this month at set trial dates in Kaneohe, Oahu. The two stars didn't appear in court with their attorneys December 29 as they weren't obliged to turn up. Watros will be the first to take the stand - her trial has been set for January 12.

Depp Tops IMDb Star Search

Hollywood hunk Johnny Depp was the most searched name in movies for 2005, by users of internet film bible IMDb.com. More film fans searched for the Pirates Of The Caribbean hunk's biography and filmography on the internet database, which receives 30 million visitors a month, than any other celebrity. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt followed close behind thanks to their high-profile relationship and their film Mr. And Mrs. Smith, up from number five and number eight in 2004 respectively. The Notebook beauty Rachel McAdams and Fantastic Four star Jessica Alba were newcomers to the 25, landing at numbers 17 and 6, while Napoleon Dynamite star Jon Heder and Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria entered at 19 and 22. IMDb.com managing editor Keith Simanton says, "The STARmeter reflects actual public interest in an individual celebrity. This list captures a snapshot in time of just how much attention these stars attracted. It's also interesting to see who tumbled out of the top 25 this year - a list that includes Jennifer Garner, who was on maternity leave for a good portion of the year; Viggo Mortensen, who needed more than A History Of Violence to keep his Aragon standing of No. 23 last year; and Halle Berry, whose Catwoman turn last year kept her in the spotlight at No 19 but who is at No. 63 this year."

Christian Group Upset by New TV Drama

A leading American Christian group has slammed a new TV show, in which a priest character regularly chats to Jesus Christ. Officials at the American Family Association are outraged by new show The Book Of Daniel, which stars Aiden Quinn as a troubled Episcopal priest. Group leaders claim they generated more than 400,000 protest emails, which were sent to bosses at TV network NBC over Christmas and now hopes advertisers will pull their support for the new drama, which starts this week. The AFA is particularly disturbed by Quinn's new TV character, Rev. Daniel Webster, who is addicted to painkillers, has an alcoholic wife, a drug-dealing daughter and a gay son. AFA spokesman Ed Vitagliano says, "It seems they made every decision they could to alienate us." But NBC officials, who have acknowledged protest emails, insist the show will go on, as planned. In a statement released earlier this week, NBC offers, "We're confident that once audiences view this quality drama themselves, they'll appreciate this thought-provoking examination of one American family."

Men Charged in Stolen Lopez-Anthony Video Case

Two men have been charged with attempting to extort $1 million from celebrity couple Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez in exchange for their 2004 wedding video. Tito Moses, 31, and Steven Wortman, 49, were arrested in New York City on Tuesday following weeks of negotiations with the couple's legal advisers. The video of the couple's June 2004 marriage ceremony was on Anthony's laptop computer, which was stolen along with the singer's Cadillac, in Linden, New Jersey on October 30. After failing to sell the videoed nuptials to American magazines People and Us Weekly and TV show Access Hollywood, the two men attempted to bribe Anthony into buying it back. Moses and Wortman were arraigned on Wednesday in Manhattan Criminal Court on charges of conspiracy, attempted grand larceny and possession of stolen property.

Huffman Thanks Cast and Crew for Unique 'Transamerica' Experience

Felicity Huffman was amazed by the camaraderie on the set of her new movie Transamerica, because the limited budget meant cast and crew were subjected to constant discomfort. The Desperate Housewives star, 43, plays a man determined to surgically become a woman in the new movie, but Huffman insists it was a labor of love for everybody involved. She says, "We were staying in Best Western hotels and getting dressed in rat-infested buildings in the middle of nowhere, and we were happy to be there. There's a difference between doing something for money - which I certainly try to do - and something like this, where you know there's no money and you work 24/7."

Bush Speaks Out About Murray Split

One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush has spoken out about her marriage split from co-star Chad Michael Murray for the first time, confessing she feels "humiliated" by his alleged infidelity. The couple were married for just five months when they split earlier this year amid reports that Murray had cheated on Bush with Paris Hilton. Bush has now poured her heart out in the upcoming issue of teen magazine CosmoGirl, admitting, "I can't say there are no hard feelings... I feel hurt, humiliated and broken hearted." The actress refuses to go into details about the break-up but admits she is shocked at the accuracy of some of the magazine articles written about the reasons for the split.

Sorvino Sworn In As a Cop

Oscar winner Mira Sorvino has an arresting new job as an honorary deputy sheriff in Pennsylvania. The Mighty Aphrodite star was sworn in by Lackawanna County Sheriff John Szymanski on Tuesday. The actress was joined by husband Chris Backus, daughter Mattea and her father Paul Sorvino, who was sworn in as a deputy sheriff by Szymanski 24 years ago. She says, "I have a picture of me as a 14-year-old, when he was sworn in."
