Beatty and Bening Target Schwarzenegger Rally

Hollywood legend Warren Beatty and his Oscar-nominated wife Annette Bening caused a stir when they turned up at California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger campaign rally in San Diego, California, on Saturday. The anti-Schwarzenegger pair pitched up at the airport hangar where hundreds of supporters had gathered to hear the former action star describe how he would "reform the broken system." Beatty and Bening were initially snubbed from the rally when an aide told them they didn't have the correct wristband to attend the talk. Bening stormed, "You have to have a wristband to listen to the Governor? He represents all of us, right?" The door was then slammed in their faces before being opened again as Schwarzenegger started to speak. Beatty raged about Schwarzenegger's campaign, "This is an abuse of the initiative process." The governor previously said of Beatty's protestations, "There's the main event, then there is the sideshow. I don't care about the sideshow." Beatty currently appears in an anti-Republican radio commercial in California.

Clooney Confronts Security Guard at Premiere

George Clooney launched a verbal tirade against a security guard at the London premiere of his latest movie Thursday night. The actor was in England's capital to attend the star-studded screening of Good Night, and Good Luck, when his attempt to leave quietly at the end of the event was hampered by vehicle confusion. Clooney and ex-girlfriend Lisa Snowdon left the West End club through a side exit where a car had been scheduled to meet them. But a mix-up left the couple stranded in the back alley with a nonplussed security guard. An onlooker told British newspaper The Evening Standard, "The security guard was walking down the alley and George screamed at him, 'Come back here' and then he said 'I am going to f**king have you!'" Clooney reportedly chased the guard, despite former TV presenter Snowdon's best attempts to defuse the situation. The source adds, "He squared up at the security guard and Lisa was screaming at him, 'George, George come here.' She grabbed his hand and tried to pull him away and finally a Jeep pulled up. I was genuinely shocked. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing. You just don't expect George Clooney to start a fight with a security guard."

Stone Promises Sensitivity in 9/11 Film

Director Oliver Stone promises his forthcoming film about the September 11 terrorist attacks will be respectful to victims of the atrocities. The Platoon movie-maker is confident the Nicolas Cage starring movie will not offend survivors because he is not attempting to glamorize the incident which claimed thousands of lives. Instead, he will focus on the accurate re-telling of just one story from the fateful day - the two policemen who were rescued from the rubble of the Twin Towers 22 hours after they collapsed. Co-producer Michael Shamberg says, "We're not doing the 'Towering Inferno-Titanic' version. We're not doing everyone's story that day. We're trusted with the accuracy of the particular story that we're telling." Both Stone and Shamberg have consulted New York residents and families of the victims to ensure the project is handled sensitively. Most of the film's scenes will be shot out in Los Angeles, and the movie will incorporate television footage of actual events.

Spielberg Rushing To Get 'Munich' Film Out on Time

Moviemaker Steven Spielberg is promising film fans and critics his new movie about the 1972 Olympics will hit cinemas on time next month, even though composer John Williams is struggling with the score. Spielberg is in a real race to complete the film, Munich, in time for the all-important Oscars consideration period this side of Christmas - even though the film seems far from finished, according to new movie awards website TheEnvelope.com. The controversial drama about the hunting down of Palestinian militants who killed 11 Israeli athletes at the Olympic Games only finished filming in late September and Williams has yet to record a single note for the soundtrack. But Spielberg insists his film will hit cinemas on time. The director's spokesman Marvin Levy says, "There aren't many movies like this, which start shooting around July 1 and plan to be in theatres on December 23. But it will get done. Munich's production is moving forward exactly as it should." According to the new Los Angeles Times website, which will monitor all the movie awards leading up to the Oscars, December 8 is the last possible day Munich can be considered for the early press awards. Golden Globe ballots are due on December 10. Many critics, who vote on the ballots, have been told they'll see the film in early December.

Sheridan Plans Action Over Porn Pics

Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan is preparing to unleash a barrage of lawsuits over the slew of internet sites publishing fake porn pictures of her. The 41-year-old actress admits she's particularly insulted by the superimposed snapshots because the bodies used are much worse then hers. She tells Maxim magazine, "You can't trust the internet. Someone told me there was this website with my head on other people's naked bodies doing lewd, crude, and totally unacceptable things. I guess at one point I've got to get around to suing them. But the real drag of it was that my body is much better than their bodies... My God, at least do me justice." And Sheridan is also keen to shoot down another rumor about her: "There was this thing written that I had gone into a candle store, and my hair went up in flames because of all the hair spray. First of all, I never have hair spray in my hair, and I've never even heard of this store, and my hair has never been burned."

There's nothing that really happened, we've just grown apart." But she's upset by claims the friendship soured after she hosted a party, at which she aired the infamous 1 Night In Paris sex tape. Richie says, "I would never do that. I'm sure it stirs up controversy, which I'm sure that she (Paris) loves but I really have nothing bad to say."
