Janet Jackson Hits Out at "Secret Daughter'"Claims
Janet Jackson has broken her silence to fire back at allegations she has a secret teen daughter. On Friday, Young DeBarge, the brother of Jackson's ex-husband James DeBarge, said in a radio interview to promote his album that Jackson and his brother had an 18-year-old daughter named Renee. The teens' existence was kept secret for so long because she had been raised by Jackson's older sister Rebbie, Young DeBarge told New York radio station Hot 97. But in a terse statement released to TV show Access Hollywood, Jackson hits out, "I do not have a child and all allegations saying so are false." Jackson family attorney Brian Oxman admits the story first came up a few years ago and he asked his clients then if there was any truth to the allegations. He says, "The answer is no way, no how. From the sisters to the mother, every last one of them said it never happened." Jackson and James DeBarge, a singer in the former R&B family group DeBarge, were married for three months in 1984, when Jackson was just 18. Jackson secretly married Rene Elizondo Jr. in 1991. They separated in 1999. She is now dating rap mogul Jermaine Dupri.
Jolie Escapes Adoption Ordeal
Angelina Jolie is sighing with relief after an Ethiopian judge ruled she is the legal guardian of baby daughter Zahara. The actress feared she'd have to refile paperwork when the alleged mother of the little girl, who was believed to be dead, came forward to thank Jolie for giving her child a better life. Under Ethiopian law, the adoption papers needed to be refiled because details given about the baby's mother were incorrect. But Judge Dadnachew Tesfaye, who investigated the case, has declared Jolie did nothing wrong and the baby in now legally hers. He says, "The adoption is legal and still stands. The evidence presented to the court shows the child was an orphan. That is sufficient." Jolie adopted baby Zahara in June.
Sharif Denies Valet Attack

Movie legend Omar Sharif has hit out at claims he attacked a California parking attendant who refused to allow him to pay a parking fine in European Euros. In a lawsuit filed at Los Angeles Superior Court, Juan Anderson claims the Doctor Zhivago star called him a "stupid Mexican" and punched him in the face during the incident outside Mastro's Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on June 11. Valet Anderson, 48 - who is Guatemalan - alleges he retrieved the 73-year-old's Porsche Cayenne SUV, but Sharif tried to pay him with a 20 Euro note, reports the New York Daily News. Anderson explained he could only accept US dollars. He alleges in the suit that Sharif later became "rageful and punched the valet in the face with a closed fist, drawing blood," leaving Anderson with facial bruises. Friends Sharif was dining with allegedly offered Anderson $50 "to pretend the attack did not happen". Sharif's lawyer, Martin Singer, called the claim "ridiculous" and said Sharif has "several witnesses" who could back him up. He adds, "The police looked into this claim and didn't want to file any charges," adding Sharif "is also a minority. The only reason he got sued is because he was a celebrity."
Davis Injured in Spanish Hotel

Former Sex And The City star Kristin Davis is walking around in pain, after injuring herself in a fall at a Spanish hotel. Davis was recently woken at 4am by hotel staff who wanted to inform her that she had a fax waiting for her. But when she got up to retrieve it, she ended up having a painful accident. The brunette beauty says, "I was staying in an old mansion that's turned into a hotel with the hardwood floors. There was like a little napkin that they put down (for) when you step out of bed. (My) foot hit the napkin and the napkin slid and the hand hit the table with the phone and the phone slid and I was splat out on the floor and I tore my (medial collateral ligament). It's a sports thing. I had to go a sports doctor. He was like, 'Well, this is the first time I've ever heard this injury acquired in this way,' because it's like a basketball or tennis (injury). I should make up some very athletic story." But, in staying faithful to fashion, Davis is refusing to ditch her high-heeled shoes, adding, "I said to the doctor, 'I don't have any flat shoes! What am I gonna do?' I was conditioned, I was brainwashed for seven years (on Sex And The City) that I have to wear (heels), but it actually helps because I don't have any range of motion and that's when it hurts, when you move it a lot."
Brando's Son Silent at Blake Civil Trial
Marlon Brando's son refused to answer questions at the civil wrongful death trial against Robert Blake, who is accused of being responsible for his wife Bonnie Lee Bakley's murder. Christian Brando was called as a witness on Tuesday at the Burbank, California trial, where Bakley's adult children are suing Baretta star Blake, whose wife was shot to death in his car outside Vitello's Restaurant in Studio City, California, in May 2001. Blake's lawyers have cited Brando as a possible suspect in the murder, alleging Bakley at one point claimed Brando was the father of her and Blake's daughter Rosie, who was born in June 2000. In the stand on Tuesday, Brando confirmed his name, date of birth and agreed his voice was on a tape recording of phone conversations with Bakley. After admitting he had "met" Bakley, Brando invoked the Fifth Amendment when pressed for information about their relationship. He said he was unaware Bakley had recorded their conversation, but refused to speak further about her. While Superior Court Judge David M. Schacter gave Brando leave to invoke the Fifth Amendment on some questions, he was required to answer others, such as admitting he had spent five years behind bars for the manslaughter of his sister's boyfriend Dag Drollet. Brando's lawyer Bruce Margolin says, "He didn't want to take part in this charade that somehow implies he's involved in this matter. He would prefer to have nothing to do with this matter." In both his criminal and civil trials involving Bakley, Blake has always insisted the killing happened as he returned to Vitello's to collect a handgun he had left behind. The trial continues.
Trump Upset Over Book Claims He Bedded Robin Givens

Property tycoon-turned-reality TV star Donald Trump has slammed the author of a new unauthorized biography for claiming he once had an affair with actress Robin Givens. Trump states he feels "betrayed" by author Timothy O'Brien, who was given intimate access to the billionaire's private world but was dismissed by the property king when his investigations started getting seedy. Of the claims he bedded Givens, boxer Mike Tyson's ex-wife, The Apprentice mogul Trump fumes, "It's not true." He's also annoyed at cheap shots taken at his ex-wife Marla Maples in the book and by O'Brien's claims that the tycoon is not a billionaire and had to borrow money from his siblings to stay afloat. He declares, "The book is not a very good book. Tim's not a very good writer."
Winfrey Nabs Another Child Molester
Oprah Winfrey is celebrating a second victory in her campaign to catch up with America's most wanted child molesters. The TV talk show queen launched her Child Predator Watch List earlier this month by offering $100,000 rewards for information leading to each capture. One Minnesota woman recognized a photograph of neighbor William C. Davis, who was living life under a pseudonym as he ran from police and reported him to the authorities days after Winfrey launched the initiative. And now generous Winfrey is handing out the cash again after predator Niles Scott was arrested in Belize, where he was running from an outstanding arrest in Ohio. Winfrey plans to detail the arrest of Scott during a live segment on her show today.
Baldwin: "Custody Battle Is Like Cancer"
Alec Baldwin is struggling to cope with his bitter custody battle with ex-wife Kim Basinger and has described the ordeal as like a "cancer". The actor admits he is learning to deal with the emotional tug-of-love war over their daughter Ireland - because he fears the violence it has provoked in him. He tells The New York Post, "It's like being diagnosed with cancer. Something I realize I have to live with. But I'm keeping things in perspective. Not letting it consume me and eat me up with anger as it used to. I stopped that when one late night I was on the street so unhappy and filled with rage that, in a fit, I smashed my phone against a lamppost. A black lady walking by said to me, Alec Baldwin,' you got to get hold of yourself.' So I have."

Bond Candidates Kept in the Dark
Disappointed candidates for the role of James Bond only discovered they missed out on the chance to play the next 007 when Daniel Craig was unveiled as the new superspy. A number of actors were in the running for the coveted role right up to the end, including Colin Salmon, who has played M's chief of staff Charles Robinson in three previous films, and was a hot favorite to become the first black Bond. Salmon says, "I only knew I'd lost out on the role when it was announced Daniel had got it. Daniel is a good guy and a great actor." The actor, 43, adds he thinks his Bond career is over: "I imagine they will be assembling a new cast. I'm also not sure how well my character would translate. He's very straight and I think they need to change the whole format."
