Jolie Honored for Humanitarian Efforts

Actress Angelina Jolie was honored on Tuesday in New York for her work as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations (UN). The 30-year-old Oscar winner accepted the UN Global Humanitarian Action Award during a dinner reception. The mother-of-two told guests at the gala that her charitable work has been "the greatest thing in my life" after her children, son Maddox and daughter Zahara. The Girl, Interrupted star was most recently seen onscreen in Mr. And Mrs. Smith opposite Brad Pitt and will next be seen in The Mirror and The Good Shepherd.
Harrelson & Wife Expecting Third Child

Former Cheers star Woody Harrelson has announced that he and his wife Laura are expecting their third child. On Tuesday night, Harrelson went against his wife's wishes and announced the good news a few weeks too early, during an appearance on comedian David Letterman's chat show. He said, "Can I tell you something that I'm really not supposed to say? I think my wife, who's watching this, is gonna be p**sed at me... We are gonna have a third member of the family, I'd like to announce right now. The wife is preggers and we've narrowed it down to me, so I'm excited. She said not to say anything until the end of the first trimester but I think that's pessimistic." And Harrelson, already the father to two little girls, insists he's not concerned about the sex of his youngest offspring, adding, "I hear boys are a lot of work and these girls have been working out like gangbusters. So either way I'm happy."
Park Unfazed by Wallace & Gromit Fire

Oscar-winning animator Nick Park is unfazed by the fire which destroyed many of his past creations on Monday, because he is determined to concentrate on future projects. Park's discovered his latest movie Wallace And Gromit And The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit is currently at the top the US box office moments before hearing his Aardman Animations site in Bristol, England, had been gutted by flames. But he is taking the disaster as a sign to build on his ever-growing success, rather than lament the loss of past creations including the cast of hit movie Chicken Run. Park says, "We have to look forward and keep filming new films and not get stuck in the past. I am always thinking up new Wallace and Gromit ideas and I always want to keep doing them."
Scott Blasts 'Kingdom of Heaven' Marketing

British director Ridley Scott has blasted the marketers of his summer blockbuster Kingdom Of Heaven, for branding the film a romantic action movie. The Gladiator film-maker wanted the Orlando Bloom-starring epic to be marketed as a religious and political piece, and believes the box office figures would have been higher had the advertising campaign mirrored his ideas. Scott pinpoints the US publicity team for being too scared to broach the film's plot of Islamic and Christian conflict, due to the current international climate. Scott says, "Well $225 million isn't bad. It could have been better. I suppose I don't think we really got a hold of it in the States, marketing-wise. I think that they were very nervous what the reaction there might have been to it. They sold it as a big action piece rather than as a religious/political thing. We sold it as a romantic action piece and that didn't work so well. It's tricky. I was strongly involved in the marketing process - I always am - and it's such an endless discussion."
Theron: "Marriage Is Not My Thing"

South African actress Charlize Theron has dismissed speculation she is planning to marry her long-term boyfriend after acting as bridesmaid at her mother's Californian wedding on Sunday. The Oscar-winning Monster beauty has been dating Irish actor and Night Stalker star Stuart Townsend for four years, but she has no intention of walking down the aisle, even though she would like to start a family. She says, "I'm happy for people who want to get married but it's not my thing. I'm extremely happy in my relationship and I would love to have kids."
Alley Dating Pacino?

Former Cheers star Kirstie Alley has been romantically linked to a new man - Hollywood icon Al Pacino. The 54-year-old actress, who has been single since splitting from James Wilder five years ago, was spotted out with Pacino, 65, in Hollywood, and onlookers say that, although the couple were with friends, their rendezvous had all the makings of a romantic date. A source tells America's Star magazine, "They were huddled for the whole evening at the Chateau Marmont, and, at one point, Kirstie was stroking his thigh as she talked to him. It was bizarre. They totally looked as if they were on a date." Representatives for the screen stars have yet to comment.
Thirteen Bags of Cocaine Found in Boy George's Apartment
Police officers allegedly found thirteen bags of cocaine at Boy George's New York City apartment when he was arrested on Friday, according to legal papers. The flamboyant British singer-turned-DJ was arrested after police attended a reported burglary at his Little Italy property and the drug was found by officers. A report by Manhattan's district attorney reveals up to 3.5 grams of cocaine were recovered from the 13 bags. Former drug addict George - real name George O'Dowd - was charged with falsely reporting a burglary and drug possession. He denies the drugs belong to him. His lawyer Lou Freeman says, "He's a very social person. He has a lot of people over to his apartment." George, who returned to London on Sunday, is due to return to court in New York City on December 19. If found guilty he faces up to 15 years imprisonment.
Rocker Stewart Honored With Hollywood Star

British rock legend Rod Stewart was honored with a star on Hollywood's coveted Walk of Fame on Tuesday after a monumental career spanning 40 years. The singer became the 2,293rd star to receive the pavement accolade and was visibly moved when the award was unveiled. He was applauded by a host of celebrities including TV talk show host Larry King and Hollywood mayor Johnny Grant. His pregnant fiancee Penny Lancaster looked on proudly. The rocker-turned-crooner has sold over 100 million records and is known worldwide for hits such as "Do You Think I'm Sexy" and "Maggie May." But he insists yesterday's ceremony was one of the best moments in his music career. Stewart says, "It's magnificent. I mean words fail me, really. I've lived here for 30 years and this is one of the finest things that ever happened. The great thing about this is that I get to be on the pavement, or sidewalk as we call it in America, along with my younger sister, Sir Elton John."
Cage Forgives Penn for "Not an Actor" Remark

Hollywood star Nicolas Cage has forgiven his Fast Times At Ridgemont High co-star Sean Penn for blasting his film choices, insisting he welcomes badly received movies. In 1999, Penn famously declared, "Nic Cage is no longer an actor. He's more like a performer", after Cage appeared in several blockbusters movies, including Face/Off and Con Air, over gritty, low-budget dramas. In reflection, Cage admits he has no hard feelings towards Penn and is open to both bad and good movies on his filmography. Cage says, "That was his opinion and, you know, we've since left it all behind us. But I think at any time an actor does something unusual it's going to be met with a certain amount of criticism. I've actively searched for that. When I did Peggy Sue Got Married I wanted to play the character with this ridiculous voice and look, and I knew that it would be criticised, but I thought it's more interesting to take the bad critical hits and know that you've really done something."
No IVF Treatment for Holmes, Says Aunt
Katie Holmes conceived her baby with fiance Tom Cruise without the aid of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, according to the Hollywood beauty's aunt. Carol Zydorczyk has spoken out to deny reports pregnant Holmes received Ivf treatment. She says, "I can assure you they did it the old fashioned way." Batman Begins star Holmes and Cruise announced her pregnancy last week, just six months after the couple began dating.
