Tom and Katie Expecting

Never mind the wedding, when's the kid coming? People magazine has broken the news that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are expecting their first child together. Cruise's publicist and sister, Lee Anne DeVette, related the news exclusively to the magazine that the couple was expecting, though she did not provide any further information regarding the baby's gender or due date. Lest you think this just a wacky story on People magazine's part, DeVette also confirmed to E! word of the impending arrival. This will be Holmes' first child and Cruise's first biological child, as he has two adopted children, Isabella and Conor, from his previous marriage to Nicole Kidman. So far, the engaged couple, who have been the subject of intense media coverage, have not yet set a wedding date. --Prepared by IMDb staff
Lohan Caught Up in Another Car Crash in Beverly Hills
Lindsay Lohan has been caught up in another Beverly Hills car crash - and this time she could face criminal charges after plowing her Mercedes Benz into a red van and injuring the driver. According to eyewitnesses, the Mean Girls star and her assistant were speeding through Beverly Hills after dining at exclusive restaurant The Ivy yesterday afternoon when the collision took place. Meanwhile, the unnamed driver of the van Lohan collided with received treatment at the scene of the crash before he was transported to a local hospital. His condition was not known when WENN went to press. TV showbiz reporter Victoria Recano, who was filming yards away from the accident, insists she's puzzled as to why the actress/pop star was speeding through Beverly Hills. She says, "There was no one following her. She was going pretty fast on Robertson." This accident is the latest in a number of motoring woes for the actress. On May 31, Lohan suffered minor injuries when she was caught in a collision with photographer Gaio Ramirez. Ramirez was later charged with assault for purposefully ramming his vehicle into hers in an attempt to create a photo opportunity for other snappers. Just weeks later, Lohan claimed she narrowly avoided another collision with a photographer who was pursuing her.

Stone Supports Kate Moss

Troubled supermodel Kate Moss has found a little unlikely support from Sharon Stone as she battles her drug demons in an Arizona rehab. Moss has lost major modeling contracts and has been vilified in the press after images of her cutting up lines of cocaine appeared in the British tabloids last month. But, while many celebrities are keen to berate the single mother for her actions, Basic Instinct star Stone has jumped to defend the British beauty, blasting companies like Burberry and Hennes and Mauritz, who are ending their contracts with the model after the alleged drug scandal. Speaking at a press conference this morning, during which Stone was confirmed as the new face of Dior, the actress said, "I understand that she has apologized and is changing her life. And I think that that is the most important thing that's happened. I think that we have to be aware that people are allowed to make mistakes in their life... Whether or not a (fashion) house stands with her or not through it says more about the house than it does about her."

She says, "For a second I was like, 'Did they put my head on someone else's body?' I thought that it really did look like me. The first thing that went through my head... It wasn't anger, it was more of a curiosity, and an empathy like, 'Where does this girl come from... And what led her to this?'" Banxxx has agreed to retire her name, insisting she never intended to offend her heroine. She tells the real Tyra, "Growing up, everyone always said I should be a model and everyone said I looked like you... You're an inspiration to me." By way of thanks for letting the name go without legal action, Banks has offered to help her doppelganger escape the adult film world and find employment in another field.
