Zellweger Tearful on Eve of Split
Renee Zellweger offered clues her marriage to Kenny Chesney was on the rocks in the last interview she gave before the split was announced. During a chat with British breakfast television show GMTV, the actress came close to tears when quizzed about their four month union. When asked by reporter Carla Romano how she was finding married life, Zellweger replied, "You know I have been kind of busy, so I haven't noticed the formality of it." When grilled further on country star Chesney, Zellweger said, "I don't want to talk about that, I can't." The actress then fought back tears and added, "I have got to keep those things precious for myself."
Theron Thrills MacLaine with Bottom Kiss
Charlize Theron has a new best friend in Shirley MacLaine after kissing The movie veteran's bottom during a recent tribute evening. Theron puckered up to pay homage to her heroine at the Premiere Icon party on Tuesday night and stepped down from the stage to plant her lips on MacLaine's posterior. A red-faced Theron blamed her show-stopping tribute on the painkillers she was taking to combat an aching neck. She says, "It was a combination of my painkillers and the fact that everybody was paying tribute to this incredible woman, this incredible actress, so I had to go to the physical aspect of kissing her a**." Theron, who was honored alongside MacLaine and Lindsay Lohan at the Hollywood bash, admits she was amused with her heroine's response: "She loved it. She said it was the best she's had all year." And thrilled MacLaine suggested the odd act made her realize she needs to hang out with Theron. She states, "I've gotta get to know her... I should get drunk with her."
Police To Investigate Moss

British police are set to launch an investigation into allegations Kate Moss indulged in the illegal drug cocaine. Scotland Yard, the headquarters of London's police force, are to probe Moss after last week's Daily Mirror newspaper published photographs purporting to show the supermodel snorting the narcotic in a London studio, where her on/off boyfriend Pete Doherty was recording. A spokeswoman for Scotland Yard says, "Assistant Commissioner Tarique Ghaffur has reviewed the matter and had asked officers from the specialist crime directive to look at reports as highlighted in a national newspaper." The Yard added officers would need further evidence besides the Mirror photographs before they would proceed. Following the revelations, Swedish clothing firm H&M have dropped Moss from her $1.8 million contract, declaring the revelations contradict their anti-drugs stance.
Kudrow's 'Comeback' Canceled

Former Friends star Lisa Kudrow is disappointed after learning cable network HBO has canceled her comedy series The Comeback. After Friends ended last year, Kudrow signed a deal with HBO to write, executive produce and stars in the mockumentary comedy about former sitcom star Valerie Cherish, who is desperately trying to revive her career. Although HBO ordered 13 episodes of The Comeback, the show only managed to gain 1.5 million viewers and received mix reviews. A publicist for HBO confirms, "(Co-creator) Michael Patrick King and Lisa Kudrow developed a uniquely original series. However, we looked at our schedule, and, given our future commitments, we felt we would not be able to give the show the support it needed."
Falk Strips On Camera for the First Time

Veteran actor Peter Falk has given his fans a huge incentive to watch his new movie The Things About My Folks, by announcing he performs his first nude scene ever in the film. The 78-year-old actor strips down for the first time ever in front of cameras for the recently-released movie - and he promises that fans should like what they see. He says, "I am not totally nude - I'm wearing talcum powder!" His co-star Paul Reiser explains, "We're very proud of it. It's a lovely dance he does with talcum powder. Peter basically is playing my father. My father used to use more talcum powder than you could ever imagine. He'd come out of the shower and the floor around the whole house would be like a scene from Scarface. There would just be acres of (powder on the floor)."
Hatcher Is Delighted for Huffman
Teri Hatcher has laughed off reports of a jealous rift with her Desperate Housewives co-star Felicity Huffman, insisting she is delighted for the blonde actress' Emmy win on Sunday. Hatcher and co-star Marcia Cross lost out to Huffman in the Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series category at the star-studded bash in Los Angeles. After photos were published of Huffman hugging Cross, Eva Longoria and Nicollette Sheridan in the press room, newspapers speculated that Hatcher was furious she had lost out to Cross and refused to appear in photographs. However, subsequent photos at the post-Emmy Governors Ball show Hatcher and Huffman embracing. Hatcher says, "I didn't care at all about losing, but I just didn't want (my daughter) Emerson to feel bad." The actress called her seven-year-old daughter to explain her loss, saying, "You know, I didn't win, but Felicity won, and when you come to the set next time, you can give her a big congratulations."
Madonna Sparks Hospital Row

Pop star Madonna's recent hospital visit has caused controversy after it was claimed she was given special treatment after falling from her horse last month. The 47-year-old star was celebrating her birthday when she had the accident, and suffered a broken collarbone, three cracked ribs and a fractured hand. She was taken to Salisbury District Hospital A&E, where she was treated by National Health Service (NHS) staff and is rumored to have been given a private room. Local resident Phil Matthews was furious to hear that the pop queen may have been treated better than other patients, saying, "I wanted to know if Madonna had preferential treatment." Matthews demanded a meeting with Frank Harsent, chief executive of Salisbury NHS Healthcare Trust which runs the hospital, and claims his questions regarding Madonna's visit were "brushed aside". Matthews added: "I asked him (Harsent) if there were any of her minders taking up space. He denied it. My point is everyone should have the same treatment under the NHS and I was determined to see if this happened with Madonna." The singer has previously dubbed British hospitals "too old and Victorian" and chose to return to America to give birth to son Rocco.
Heche Slams Mother's Anti-Gay Crusade

Actress Anne Heche has hit back at her mother's claims she turned the one-time lesbian straight through prayer. Nancy Heche was delighted when her daughter left her then-lover Ellen DeGeneres in 2000 and married a man, Coley Luffoon, a year later. But the actress is upset her mother has been using her name to promote Christian ex-gay events and billing herself "a single parent who experienced the international media rush during her daughter Anne Heche's highly visible relationship with Ellen DeGeneres." She tells the New York Daily News, "This nonsense about my mother praying for me is really making me angry. My mother never approved of my relationship with Ellen. Her hatred for our relationship is one of the many things that ultimately led to my breaking off all communication with her. (My mother, that is, not Ellen). The ex-gay events right now make me sick. And for anyone who ever thought that Ellen and I broke it off because of sexuality, you couldn't be more mistaken. And for anyone who thought my mother's prayers had anything to do with me marrying a man, forget it."
Stewart's Prison Bruise Gets Her Into Trouble
American lifestyle queen Martha Stewart found herself in trouble with jailers while she was serving her stock fraud sentence in West Virginia - for not reporting a bruise. Warders at Alderson Federal Prison Camp felt sure Stewart had been fighting with other inmates when they first saw the mark on her arm and she was called in to explain what had happened. She recalls, "One day I fell against the wall, I slipped on some wet floor and I got a really bad black and blue mark on my arm. You have to report any injuries, which I didn't know."

Hollywood actor John Stamos has given his ex-wife Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell's wedding plans his blessing. Romijn and O'Connell announced their engagement earlier this week - just seven months after she divorced Stamos, officially ending their six year union. When quizzed by PageSix.com, Stamos said, "I wish them nothing but the best."
