Polanski "Never Touched" Model

The Swedish model Roman Polanski allegedly tried to seduce in 1969 insists the director never spoke to her. Vanity Fair magazine alleged in a 2002 article Polanski, 72, touched Beatte Telle's leg and told her he would "make another Sharon Tate" out of her in a New York restaurant shortly after Tate - his actress wife - had been murdered by followers of Charles Manson's cult. Polanski denied making the comment, London's High Court agreed, and he was awarded $88,000 on Friday. And Telle, 59, maintains Polanski merely "stared" at her at the restaurant - despite her then boyfriend Edward Perlberg testifying in court that she was upset by the filmmakers advance. Telle says, "Roman Polanski came over to the table where I was eating and it was as if he tried to say something but didn't. He never said that he would 'make me another Sharon Tate' or that he would make me a star. He never spoke to me at all. Polanski just stood there. He just stared at me for ages. Perhaps I reminded him of Sharon Tate. If Ed says that Polanski spoke to me or did anything at all to me or upset me then he is confused." And Telle - who refused to appear in court - is pleased with the verdict: "I am pleased for him. I'm smiling. He didn't touch me, he just didn't." Polanski gave evidence via video link from Paris, France as he faces extradition to America should he set foot in Britain - he is wanted in the US after fleeing the country before he could be sentenced for having sex with a 13 year old girl in 1978.
Portman's 'Vendetta' To Keep London Explosion Storylines

Producers of Natalie Portman's forthcoming film V For Vendetta have refused to edit out scenes of bombings on the London Underground train network, despite the recent terrorist attacks in the British capital. Fifty-five people were killed and over 700 injured when a double-decker bus and three trains were blown apart by suicide bombers on July 7. Last week, one person was injured during four failed terror attacks on different underground railway lines and a bus in east London. In V For Vendetta, a futuristic London is the target of a terrorist attacks and sees the tube lines destroyed by bombings. Executive producer Joel Silver says, "It's a great time for this movie. It's a controversial film and it's a controversial time. It's going to make people think." Fellow producer David Lloyd adds, "In terms of what happened in London it's important to try and understand what leads people to terrorism. There should be lots of movies made about terrorists." Director James McTiegue explains, "Terrorism is one of those themes that never really goes away."

Jennifer Aniston's childhood sweetheart is selling romantic mementoes of their relationship on internet auction site eBay. Dubbed "precious High School Romance Memorabilia" the sale promises a love letter and a makeshift birthday card Aniston gave to the man, only referred to as Michael, in 1984. A press release promoting the sale - which begins next week boasts, "The materials date to the summer of 1984 - when Jennifer was 15 and attending the 'Fame' school (New York's High School of Performing Arts). Jennifer had a summer romance with Michael, a 16-year-old. Their summer passion turned into a long-time friendship until they lost contact in 1991, when Jennifer's career began to soar." A Love Letter from Jennifer, hand written in red pen - An intimate and endearing look into a young (Aniston's) heart. Birthday wishes from Jen to Michael on his 17th birthday - written on toilet paper from Michael's house (she felt badly about not buying him a birthday card, so she promptly ran to his bathroom to create one!)."
Sizemore Ordered To Stay in Rehab

A judge has ordered Tom Sizemore to stay in a rehab centre until he is sentenced in September for violating probation on drug charges. Sizemore confessed falsifying urine tests and failing to provide samples on eight occasions and other violations at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday - accusations he had previously denied. The Saving Private Ryan star was ordered to attend the clinic after admitting drug possession in October. He faces a three year prison sentence when sentenced on September 15. Sizemore's lawyer told the court the actor had booked himself into a live-in centre in Pasadena, California on July 11 - at which point the judge ordered him to remain there until September and to undergo weekly drug tests. The star is currently embroiled in a legal mess. He first violated probation when he admitted taking drugs in while appealing against a 2003 conviction of domestic abuse against former lover Heidi Fleiss. Sizemore was sentenced to 17 months in prison in March after violating probation with drug charges. He was granted bail pending appeal.
Miller Focuses on Career After Law Betrayal

Actress Sienna Miller has spoken for the first time since Jude Law confessed to cheating on her with his children's nanny, declaring she is focusing solely on her career for the foreseeable future. The Cold Mountain heart-throb, 32, made a public apology to Miller last week, after nanny Daisy Wright told of her month-long affair with Law in March. Alfie beauty Miller, 23, took off her engagement ring last Monday and has not been seen with her fiance or the gem since. Miller missed one performance of her London play As You Like It on Tuesday following the revelations, but is adamant she will continue to perform every night from now on. She says, "I did miss one night's performance, but I won't be doing that again. I decided I didn't want to ruin the gauntlet, and everyone agreed. Now the theatre has extra security and I just want to keep my mind focused on my career. I am back hard at work. I am determined not to think of anything else. I've had a pretty dreadful week, but I'm bearing up. I'm enjoying myself today and trying to get a bit of piece and quiet." On Sunday, Miller and her agent Ciara Parkes watched British royal Prince Harry play polo at Windsor Great Park - the same day Wright claimed in a newspaper Law had been in contact with her since the affair story broke.
Vaughn Heads Back to Chicago
Old School star Vince Vaughn is turning his back on Hollywood to return to his native Chicago, Illinois. The actor has sold his bachelor pad in Los Angeles and has bought a home in Chicago while he shoots new film The Break-Up with Jennifer Aniston there. He says, "I bought a place out in Chicago... I'm gonna live there for the next couple of years at least. I like Chicago... I like the people, I like the Mid-West." But Vaughn fears he'll lose touch with his agents and managers in Hollywood because he refuses to own a cellphone and he hates emailing people. He adds, "I'm just not comfortable with them... I don't email, I don't do any of that stuff. Your agents and managers call you a lot and it's just kind of rude - you're sitting there having a conversation... I just don't like being on the phone that much. I have been given one when I do a movie but I usually lose it... I just don't think about it after a week or something I'll lose it. If I had kids maybe I would have a cellphone, but I would prefer not to have any kids."
Love "Progressing Well"
Courtney Love has been praised by a Superior Court judge in America for winning her battle to overcome drug addiction. The 41-year-old was not present at court in Los Angeles on Friday, but the judge told her lawyer Michael Rosenstein she was "progressing well" in a status report. He says, "As far as I know, she's doing well in her program, continuing forward in her treatment and has tested negative for drugs." Love was sentenced to undergo a one-year drug treatment program after pleading guilty in February to a misdemeanor count of being under the influence of a controlled substance in 2003 when she allegedly tried to break in to a former boyfriend's home. She was also sentenced to 18 months probation and 100 hours community service - but the charge will be stricken from her record if she successfully completes the program. The hearing came just two days after Love was taken to hospital reporting she felt faint at a Hollywood party.
Duff Still Confused About Lohan Feud

Teen pop sensation Hilary Duff fears she'll never understand why she and former "phone pal" Lindsay Lohan became enemies over their romances with Aaron Carter. The pair's ongoing fights have made media headlines in the past year, but Duff is now keen to move on - even though her one-time pal stole her boyfriend. She says, "The thing I don't understand is that for a while we used to talk on the phone way back when I was shooting (kids TVshow) Lizzie McGuire and she was shooting a Disney Channel movie. We were phone pals. Then, all of a sudden, all this bad stuff happened. I was just like, 'Why would anyone ever do this to me?' I didn't really understand it. It's hard being so young and having people lie about you, with millions of people reading or watching. It was all about a boyfriend that I had, and it was weird because he caused all this trouble that I didn't really care about and that she couldn't have cared about. You're kids, what does it matter?" Duff has also moved on from Carter and is now dating Good Charlotte star Joel Madden. She adds, "Even though we dated when I was only 14, we did fall in love, and it was serious for us. He did cheat on me, but whatever. We were 14. Who cares?"
Criminal-Turned-Actor Bunker Dead at 71
Reservoir Dogs star Edward Bunker has died in hospital in Burbank, California from complications after surgery to improve circulation in his legs. The 71-year-old diabetic was a habitual criminal in his youth, who turned his life around by writing about his experiences and then became an actor in later life. As well as playing hardman Mr. Blue in Reservoir Dogs, Bunker also portrayed a criminal in the remake of this year's The Longest Yard. Bunker also co-wrote the screenplay for 1985 action drama Runaway Train and adapted his own book The Animal Factory, in which he featured alongside Willem Dafoe in 2000. His other bestselling books included Dog Eat Dog and Little Boy Blue. Bunker will be remembered by pals like Quentin Tarantino and Steve Buscemi at a memorial service in Hollywood on September 10.
Longoria: "I Never Expected an Emmy"
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria is philosophical about being ignored in the recent Emmy Award nominations, because she is far too new to even be considered for the award. The nominations, which were announced earlier this month, include her co-stars Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman, but had no place for the sexy star, who plays the adulterous Gabrielle Solis in the hit series. She says, "I'm new. I just arrived. I didn't expect at all to be in the minds of the Academy." But series creator Marc Cherry has slammed the snub as a "horrendous error".
