Vaughn Slams Reports He's Romancing Aniston

Movie hunk Vince Vaughn has hit out at reports he's romancing his new co-star Jennifer Aniston. Vaughn is currently filming The Break Up with the former Friends beauty in Chicago, Illinois and has been photographed cuddling Aniston on set. But the actor is furious about claims he would take advantage of the 36-year-old so soon after her January split from husband Brad Pitt. Aniston has also denied the rumors, insisting they are just good friends. Vaughn says, "We're making a film together, man. Jennifer's a sweet girl, but she's very vulnerable right now and has been through a really hard time. I know people would love it if we were dating, but we're not. She doesn't need to cry on my shoulder." Vaughn is also friends with Pitt, and made a cameo appearance alongside Pitt and Angelina Jolie - who are rumored to be enjoying a romance - in Doug Liman's box office smash Mr. And Mrs. Smith.

Bana To Star in Spielberg Movie

Steven Spielberg has recruited Australian actor Eric Bana to star in his new movie focusing on Israeli retribution following the terrorist attack on the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich. The Troy hunk will play the leading Israeli secret service agent alongside compatriot Geoffrey Rush, whose role has yet to be confirmed. Palestinian terrorist group Black September's attack left 11 Israeli athletes dead - and the Saving Private Ryan director is keen to tackle the sensitive subject in a bid to understand the troubles plaguing Israel to this day. He says, "Viewing Israel's response to Munich through the eyes of the men who were sent to avenge that tragedy adds a human dimension to a horrific episode that we usually think about only in political or military terms. By experiencing how the implacable resolve of these men to succeed in their mission slowly gave way to troubling doubts about what they were doing, I think we can learn something important about the tragic standoff we find ourselves in today." Award-winning playwright Tony Kushner has written the screenplay for Spielberg's project, and actors Daniel Craig, Mathieu Kassovitz, Ciaran Hinds and Hanns Zischler have already signed up to appear in the hard-hitting thriller. Following the bloody Munich massacre, then Israeli premier Golda Meir order secret service agents to hunt down the terrorists responsible and eliminate them.

Wilder Retracts Depp Criticism

Movie funnyman Gene Wilder has hailed Johnny Depp as a "magical" choice to play Willy Wonka in upcoming film Charlie And The Chocolate Factory - weeks after attacking Depp's casting in the movie remake. Wilder, who played Wonka in the original 1971 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, recently accused director Tim Burton of remaking the Roald Dahl fantasy for "pointless" financial gain. And despite complaining Depp would not be able to improve upon his portrayal of Wonka, Wilder has now declared Depp is the perfect choice for the film. He says, "If I were going to cast the movie, I would cast Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka because I think he is wonderful. Mysterious - always - and magical."

Pitt To Make UK Documentary

Hollywood heart-throb Brad Pitt is taking a year out from his Hollywood career to make a documentary about celebrated architect Frank Gehry. The Ocean's Twelve star is to become a permanent fixture in the UK while he records the progress of Gehry's $450 million project on the historic King Alfred site in Hove, south east England. Gehry is best known as the architect behind the famous Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. Pitt is reportedly dating his Mr. And Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie, who has chosen Britain as her base after buying a lavish country house in Buckinghamshire. Project developers Karis expect filming to commence in the autumn. A Karis spokesman says, "Brad's been involved in the project for nearly two years. We're in discussions with the BBC and with Brad's production company Plan B about a documentary."

Stewart Slams US Justice System for Making an Example of Her

Lifestyle guru Martha Stewart has slammed the American justice system for unfairly imprisoning her to scare others from committing stock fraud. The multimillionaire businesswoman was sentenced to five months in prison, five months in home confinement and two years under supervision by the probation office last July for obstructing a federal securities investigation, by lying about her personal stock sale from her company Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. Stewart was released from a West Virginia federal prison in March but she's still bitter about the punishment, because she believes she'd have received a lighter sentence if she was not in the public eye. She says, "It was to scare other people. Of course that is what it's all about. Bring 'em down a notch, to scare other people. If Martha can be sent to jail, think hard before you sell that stock."

Spears Wants New Album

Britney Spears reportedly wants to rush a new album into shops, because she's running out of money since becoming pregnant. The pop star and husband Kevin Federline are struggling to fund their celebrity lifestyle and the recent $7 million purchase of and renovations on a new Malibu, California house, because neither are working - Spears rested her mic after conceiving the couple's first child, and dancer Federline hasn't worked for over a year. According to New York Post columnist Cindy Adams, the panicking pop princess wants to release another moneyspinning disc. Adams reports, "Mrs. Federline recently made a quiet call to her record label. The gist of the discussion: We've got to get money in the house. Cash flow is going down. How about we cut another album?"

Preston Congratulates Cruise for Publicizing Scientology

Actress Kelly Preston has praised fellow celebrity Scientologist Tom Cruise for bringing publicity to their controversial religion. Cruise, Preston and her husband John Travolta are long-term followers of L. Ron Hubbard's Church Of Scientology, which has been labeled a "cult" by some critics. The Last Samurai actor Cruise has appeared on several TV shows recently to publicize Scientology's belief systems, which teaches that psychiatry and drugs - both legal and illegal, are dangerous. While Cruise has been attacked by various medial bodies and post-natal depression sufferer Brooke Shields over his "irresponsible" comments, his Jerry Maguire co-star Preston has applauded him. She tells Fox News, "He's creating awareness. Good for Tom Cruise for bringing it to the forefront."

Timberlake Denies Vomiting at His Restaurant

Pop hunk Justin Timberlake has hit out at reports he ate too much at his Los Angeles restaurant and vomited in front of other shocked diners. America's Star Magazine claimed staff considered selling the "Cry Me A River" singer's vomit on auction website eBay, after he threw-up at the bar of his exclusive eatery, Chi. A source told the publication, "He really overdid it. He partied until he puked, right there at the bar." But Timberlake's spokesman Ken Sunshine insists, "That's not true. I'm sure he's thrown up in his life before, but not at that restaurant."

Hudson and Robinson Make Divorce Pact

Movie beauty Kate Hudson and her rocker husband Chris Robinson have agreed to end their five-year marriage if either of them commits adultery. The Almost Famous actress admits she's often tempted to cheat on The Black Crowes star, but she knows he would leave her if she acted on her urges, because neither of them could forgive an extra-marital affair. She says, "There's always going to be temptation. We made a pact that if that day ever came we'd be honest with each other and say, 'For some reason I want to sleep with somebody else.' I'd love to say I'm the kind of person who'd say, 'I'm going to go through the bad and ugly, ' and 'Oh God he cheated on me, but we're going to regain our trust.' I'd be gone. You move forward."

Lloyd Webber Sells Theatres to Broadway Mogul

British composer Lord Lloyd Webber is selling four of his theatre's in London's West End today to legendary Broadway producer Max Weitzenhoffer for a staggering $19.8 million. Weitzenhoffer is desperate to become an important player in the British capital's theatreland and has already produced several hit shows there, including Some Girls, starring fellow American David Schwimmer. The Cats creator's Really Useful Group will retain eight theatres - including the London Palladium and the Adelphi - while the Apollo, the Duchess, the Lyric and the Garrick all pass to Weitzenhoffer. Lloyd Webber says, "I have always been keenly aware of the responsibility that comes with ownership of such valuable national assets and throughout this process have taken great pains to persuade my partner, Bridgepoint Capital, that we must sell only to someone who understands the particular nature of theatre, and who will protect and preserve these very special buildings."
