DiCaprio's Face Slashed by Madwoman

Hollywood heart-throb Leonardo DiCaprio was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital after a madwoman slashed his face with a broken beer bottle. The Gangs Of New York superstar needed urgent treatment and 12 stitches to his celebrated features after the horrific attack, which occurred as the actor was leaving producer Rick Salomon's party at 4am on Friday. And DiCaprio narrowly dodged an early death, as the bottle-wielding maniac nearly tore through a vital artery near his ear. Actor Jonah Blechman, who was at the scene, told a friend, "Leo's been attacked. She smashed his face in and we rushed to help." DiCaprio's publicist Ken Sunshine says of the crazed attacker, "(She had) been repeatedly asked to leave the property. She was reportedly looking for an ex-boyfriend, who she'd apparently physically assaulted on prior occasions. Law enforcement authorities have now begun a criminal investigation into the matter."
Four Men Arrested for Squirting Cruise

Four people have been arrested after Tom Cruise was squirted with water from a bogus microphone at the London premiere of War Of The Worlds last night. Cruise attended the red carpet screening with fiancee Katie Holmes, and spent time speaking to fans outside Leicester Square's Odeon cinema before giving interviews to attending journalists. But he was left drenched by the unexpected attack planned by the film crew shooting footage for an upcoming British comedy show featuring practical jokes played on celebrities. The visibly shocked movie star struggled to keep his cool as he stood with his face, hair and jacket soaked with water - and he could not refrain from repeatedly referring to the microphone-wielding interviewer as a "jerk". Before the man was led away by cinema security staff, Cruise said to him, "That's incredibly rude. I'm here giving you an interview and you do that, it's incredibly rude." A police spokesperson has confirmed four people have been arrested on suspicion of assault. After drying himself off, a composed Cruise returned to spend a further hour mixing with his fans.
Affleck and Garner Wedding Mystery

Hollywood couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were at the center of wedding rumors on Saturday, after the actress was reported to have bought bridal bouquets from a florist in her home state of West Virginia. Florist and wedding planner Brandon Tucker, who owns Briarwood Flower Shoppe in the town of Wheeling, told American newspaper the New York Daily News the stunning Alias star, 33, arrived on Saturday morning to order a bridal bouquets and six bridesmaid bouquets for a 9pm wedding at the five-star Greenbrier Resort in the West Virginia mountains. Tucker says, "I was just dumbfounded. In Wheeling, not too many celebrities come in. I should have worn something different." Tucker claims Garner asked for her bridal bouquets to include ivory Virginia roses, Casablanca lilies "and of course gardenia". However, Garner's mother Pat is unaware of any wedding plans: "You know more than I do. My daughter is in New York City on a photo shoot." Daredevil co-stars Affleck and Garner began dating in July 2004, only weeks after the actor ended his romance with Boston media sales executive Enza Sambataro. Affleck reportedly proposed to Garner at her 33rd birthday party in April. The couple are reportedly expecting their first child together, although both stars' publicists have denied the claims. Despite their denials, Alias creator JJ Abrams recently appeared to confirm their baby plans, saying, "It'll effect it (the show)... I'm sure that kickboxing is probably out."
Lohan Performs Cruise-Inspired Couch Dance
Herbie: Fully Loaded star Lindsay Lohan followed in Tom Cruise's footsteps on Thursday night - by leaping onto a couch halfway through her TV interview. Mission: Impossible star Cruise raised eyebrows last month, when he jumped up and down on Oprah Winfrey's couch as he repeatedly yelled he was in love with Katie Holmes. While his antics made him the target of teasing at the hands of comedians across America, Cruise went on to repeat his actions when he appeared on Leno's chat show. And while Lohan, 18, insists she's yet to find love since splitting with Wilmer Valderrama, she decided to continue the trend when she arrived on Leno's show. When the funnyman asked her if she was in love, Lohan responded, "No, but I was watching the show the other day and I saw Tom Cruise and I know he's in love. So in honor of Tom Cruise, for everyone who's not in love, I'm gonna pull a Tom!" She then proceeded to jump on the couch, as the audience cheered her on. After composing herself, she explained, "I love Tom Cruise, but I just had to do it. Also for Dean, my security guard." Cruise announced his engagement to Holmes on Friday.
Michael Jackson Skips Celebration Party

Family members, friends and fans of Michael Jackson gathered to celebrate his court victory on Friday night - but the pop star was nowhere to be seen. The Thriller singer, 46, has not appeared in public since June 13, when he was acquitted of a 10-count indictment which alleged he molested a 13-year-old cancer survivor in 2003, plied the boy with wine and conspired to hold him and his family captive. And he was nowhere to be seen when approximately 400 people arrived at California's Chumash Indian Casino. A surprise arrival was juror Pauline Coccoz, and she admits the enormity of the situation hit her when she entered the venue. She says, "They were playing 'Beat It' and I almost started to cry." The crowd cheered as Jackson's mother Katherine arrived to the sounds of the song "I'll Be There." At the end of the show she thanked her son's fans from around the world for their support, telling them, "We couldn't have done it without you."
Janet Jackson In No Mood for Jokes
Janet Jackson made her first public appearance since her brother Michael's acquittal on child molestation charges on Saturday - and she made it clear she was in no mood for jokes. After Alan Cumming introduced her for a Human Rights Campaign award, and joked she was never one for controversy, but the singer apologized for her own lack of humor. She explained, "My family and I have just gone through the least humorous chapter of our lives. I'm going to leave the jokes to the late-night (comics), if that's OK. What I've learned in these recent months is that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And it's real, it's a beautiful light that both comforts our minds and strengthens our souls. Tonight my heart is filled with gratitude for that light. I'm so grateful that prayers are answered, that faith is rewarded and tolerance is celebrated as a virtue. I'm grateful that God is of unconditional love." Jackson was honored for the millions of dollars she has raised for humanitarian causes. She told the crowd, "Acceptance is right. Kindness is right. Love is right. I pray, right now, that we're moving into a kinder time when prejudice is overcome."
Lopez Too Demanding for Low Budget Movie
Jennifer Lopez is so unhappy with her accommodation and on set trailer while filming Bordertown, she has demanded a luxury motor home and a private villa. The Maid In Manhattan beauty is starring in the low budget movie shooting in Mexico as a favor to director Gregory Nava, who made her breakthrough film Selena, but she still demands to live in luxury. An insider tells Pagesix.Com, "She doesn't realize this is an independent movie - as in no studio is attached - and there is no one to pay her outrageous bills." And her superstar requirements don't stop there - Lopez is determined her hairdresser Oribe's $10,000-a-day charge be taken out of Bordertown's budget, according to the gossip website. The source continues, "The s**t is going to hit the fan when she is told no one can pay for Oribe... (Co-star) Antonio Banderas isn't asking for anything, but she is!"
Actors Reach Deal Over Video Game Profits

Stars including Samuel L. Jackson, Dennis Hopper and Burt Reynolds have triumphed over the lucrative computer game business in a bitter dispute over payment for their video game voice-overs . Producers of the games agreed to give the actors a 36 per cent pay rise - but a request for royalty pay-outs every time a game is sold was refused. The agreement with the $10 billion per year video game industry was struck just hours before the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and American Federation Of Television And Radio Artists (AFTRA) were due to announce the result of a strike ballot. John Connolly, AFTRA's president, says, "While we did not get all that we want and deserve, this contract is another important step in building artists' power in this growing sector of the media industry." Meanwhile, SAG president Melissa Gilbert insists the fight is not over. She says the unions will "spend the next three-and-a-half years devoting resources to further organize this industry, return(ing) to the bargaining table with renewed strength and vigor to establish a fair participation in the enormous profits generated by video games."
Radcliffe's Parents Move Location of Fifth Potter Film

The filming of Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix is returning to its original British location after the parents of Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe voiced safety fears over filming in the Czech Republic. The fifth big screen installment appeared destined to have a Czech location after Warner Bros executives announced earlier this year they were dismantling movie sets at Leavesden studios in Hertfordshire, and rebuilding them in Prague to save production costs. But Daniel's parents, Alan Radcliffe and Marcia Gresham, told producers they were concerned at letting their son - who turns 15 next month - spending long periods of time in a city increasingly famous for its wild nightlife and growing sex industry. As a result the most of the filming will now take place at the original Leavesden studios. A crewmember says, "Some of it is going to happen in Prague but we have been told that most of the filming is going to happen here. It's because of Daniel's parents, and you can see their point. Prague is not the place for a 15-year-old boy to spend several months in." The fourth movie, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, hits cinemas this November .

The showcase of 56 works in Roubaix's La Piscine Museum is the first European retrospective of Robert De Niro Sr.'s paintings. The Raging Bull legend, whose father died more than 10 years ago, said as he dabbed his eyes, "This is a magnificent exhibit. I'm sad that my father is not here."
