Huffman Denies Tension Among 'Housewives'
Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman has rubbished reports the TV show's leading ladies despise each other following a series of bitter rows. The actresses - Huffman, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria, Teri Hatcher and Nicolette Sheridan - have been plagued by claims their time on-set is being hindered by constant squabbling and walk-outs. But former Sports Night star Huffman - who plays Lynette Scavo on the show - has blasted the newspaper coverage, insisting they're all very close. She says, "We're all friends. We all get along. I love going to work."
John Planning To Marry in December

Sir Elton John hopes to marry his long-term gay lover David Furnish in a civil ceremony in December - even though he will be too busy to jet his dream man away for a romantic honeymoon. The Candle In The Wind icon plans to take immediate advantage of new British legislation coming into effect on December 5 which will allow same sex couples to be legally recognized as a civil partnership. And John is already making arrangements to follow in British royal Prince Charles' footsteps when he married Camilla Parker Bowles earlier this month - by exchanging vows in Windsor, England. John, 58, says, "We definitely want to do it around the middle of December, probably in Windsor. But there will be no honeymoon. I'm on tour."
'Star Wars' Day Sells Out in Minutes

The world premiere of the final Star Wars installment sold out in a matter of minutes after dedicated fans queued all weekend to book their place at a movie marathon which will see all six films shown back-to-back. Just 1,000 tickets - dubbed 'Galactic Passports' - were available for the unique event which will begin at 7am on May 16 at London's Leicester Square Empire cinema - and sci-fi enthusiasts snapped them all up within five minutes of the box office opening yesterday morning. Fans will be joined by George Lucas and Hayden Christensen before they are treated to an exclusive screening of Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith at midnight. Cinema spokesperson Katy Harris says, "This is the fastest-selling screening we've ever had at the Empire."
Lowe Hits London Stage
Rob Lowe is the latest Hollywood actor to storm the London stage - in a theatre version of A Few Good Men. The former star of The West Wing has signed a deal with West End mogul Bill Kenwright to appear in the legal drama, and he is set to play Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee - the part made famous by Tom Cruise in the 1992 movie. Aaron Sorkin, who created The West Wing, wrote the play, and Kenwright is thrilled to have Lowe onboard. Kenwright enthuses, "We've got a good drama with a good story and I think Rob's perfect for it." The show opens at the Haymarket Theatre in September.
Superman Stays the Same
Bryan Singer has snubbed the temptation to alter Superman's costume, choosing instead to stick religiously to the look made famous by Christopher Reeve and the original comic books. Pictures of new Superman actor Brandon Routh in the traditional blue body suit, red tights and cape have been released to widespread applause, following fears director Singer would tamper with the superhero's wardrobe - like he did with the X-Men characters. But Singer - who replaced the X-Men comic book creations' fluorescent spandex suits with dark leather uniforms - insists there would be no point in changing Superman's appearance in Superman Returns. He says, "I always had the general idea of the suit. With X-Men, although they had extraordinary powers, they also had physical weaknesses. The suits were for protection as well as costume. Superman is the Man of Steel. Bullets bounce off him, not the suit."
Jackson Prosecution Expected To End This Week

Prosecutors in Michael Jackson's child molestation trial are hoping to close their case by the end of this week because they are running out of witnesses. Judge Rodney Melville recently barred the prosecution from calling a domestic violence expert to testify that Janet Arvizo, the accuser's mother, lied under oath because her state of mind had been disturbed after numerous beatings at the hands of her ex-husband. Melville also ruled out a testimony from Jackson's ex-employee Kassim Abdool, leaving the prosecution no choice but to end the case on Friday when all of their witnesses have given evidence. The final prosecution witnesses include Chris Carter, a former security guard at the Thriller star's Neverland Ranch near Santa Barbara, California, and Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe.
Abdul Accused of Seducing 'Idol' Contestant
American Idol judge Paula Abdul has vigorously denied accusations she paid one of the hit TV show's contestants to have a secret affair with her. Corey Clark, 24, is writing a book in which he claims the 42-year-old singer paid his expenses and promised to pay $2 million towards his pop career if he kept their romance secret. Clark - who was thrown off the show after TV bosses discovered he'd assaulted his teenage sister and resisted arrest - also claims Abdul threatened to ruin his music career plans if he told anyone about their relationship. He tells US newspaper The Globe, "She warned me, 'Don't screw me over or you'll be sorry.'" But Abdul's spokesman insists, "Paula Abdul disputes the allegations contained in Corey Clark's book proposal."
Jackson Insists She's Positive About Baby News
Britney Spears' one-time love rival Shar Jackson has blasted reports she's upset by her ex-boyfriend Kevin Federline becoming a father again, insisting she's delighted by the news the singer is pregnant. The Moesha actress reportedly told American weekly In Touch she had her doubts about what sort of parents her ex and Britney would make. She allegedly told the publication, "A baby is not a dog. You can't just put it away. I know she (Spears) says she's had experience with kids, but let me say this, 'You have not had experience until you have one of your own...' I don't know if Britney realizes how hard it will be." But now Jackson, who is the mother of Federline's two children, is backtracking, insisting the comments were taken out of context. Speaking on MTV News over the weekend, she said, "If you read anything negative that I'd supposedly said, it's probably not true. That's not how I live my life, because I'm a very positive person. I believe that God makes everything happen for a reason, the way it's supposed to happen. I'm cool with that, so I don't have any bad feelings. I'm not bitter. I'm not any of that stuff."
Farrell's Accuser Takes TV Lie Detector Test

The woman who alleged Colin Farrell was stalking her has agreed to take a lie detector test on American TV to prove she isn't lying. Dessarae Bradford accuses the Irish hunk of harassing her, alleging he wouldn't leave her alone after initially befriending her, but her $5,000 lawsuit against the Irishman was dismissed by a Los Angeles court last week . But she still maintains she's the victim - and she has appeared on US show Lie Detector to prove it. The former sex chat worker says, "He's a big movie star to most but, to me, he was a pest." Bradford tells the show that she allegedly passed on her cell phone number to Farrell, who rang up $300 of charges on the phone, and then made and cancelled a number of dinner appointments. But when Lie Detector host Rolonda Watts told Bradford that the test proved she was a liar, the accuser turned nasty. She fumed, "I really don't care what anyone believes because Colin knows. (This is) a Hollywood fake TV show, it doesn't mean anything... Colin's a paid whore of Hollywood and so are you... I might be a liar but I'm not a whore."
Nolte's Son Arrested

Actor Nick Nolte's teenage son Brawley Nolte has been arrested and charged with marijuana possession with intent to supply. The 18-year-old and a friend were pulled over by police on Sunday after the authorities spotted a faulty headlight on their car. Police allegedly confiscated 70 grams of marijuana after its strong aroma prompted the authorities to search the car. Nolte and his accomplice were both spared a night behind bars - they were released on bail that night.
