Farrell Stalker Case Dismissed

A lawsuit that alleges A Home at the End of the World and S.W.A.T. star Colin Farrell is a stalker has been dismissed in Los Angeles. Dessarae Bradford accused the Irish hunk of harassing her, alleging he wouldn't leave her alone after initially befriending her. In a lawsuit filed late last year, Bradford claimed Farrell caused her mental anguish and demanded $5,000 from the star, plus the return of artwork and an erotic tape. But a Los Angeles judge has thrown the case out of court after hearing Farrell had never even met the accuser.

Culkin To Testify at Jackson Trial

Michael Jackson's defense team has called on Macaulay Culkin to take to the stand and rubbish a former Neverland ranch maid's claim she saw the Thriller star kissing and fondling the actor. Housekeeper Adrian Mary McManus told jurors at the Santa Maria, California, court that between 1991 and 1993 Culkin shared Jackson's bed, left his underwear in the singer's Jacuzzi and allowed the troubled star to kiss his cheek. She told jurors, "I was cleaning up and I saw Mr. Jackson and Macaulay in the library and Mr. Jackson was kissing him on the cheek and he had his hand by his leg at the rear." However, the Home Alone actor has always fervently denied he was abused by the 46-year-old. And now Jackson's team have persuaded Culkin to testify at the star's child molestation trial, according to American news network CNN. Jackson has pleaded not guilty to 10 felony charges of child molestation, administering an intoxicating agent and conspiracy involving allegations of child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion. The trial continues.

Blake Back in Court

Actor Robert Blake returned to court yesterday morning to hammer out details of his upcoming civil trial. The former Baretta star, who was acquitted of the murder of Bonny Lee Bakley last month, still faces a civil suit filed by her family, who still maintain the actor is guilty. As the trial gets closer, the attorneys are fighting over the evidence and over what the two defendants - Blake and his former handyman Earl Caldwell - can say in court. This morning, Blake and his attorney Peter Ezzell and Caldwell arrived in court. The two defendants are scheduled for depositions over the next few weeks, but their attorneys want them to claim their Fifth Amendment rights and refuse to answer certain questions. The attorney for the Bakley family is arguing that the defendant should be able to answer all questions. The judge wants to wait until the trial. The case is scheduled for July 5.

Cosby To Fight 11 Women

Bill Cosby is in more hot water - 11 of his alleged former mistresses have come forward with stories the comic drugged and assaulted them. Cosby was accused of drugging and molesting basketball player Andrea Constand in January and her story seems to have tweaked the memories of others the funnyman may have had sexual encounters with. In newly filed court papers, obtained by US news show Celebrity Justice, 11 women claim they were all either drugged or sexually assaulted by Cosby. Former lawyer Tamara Green has confessed she was groped by Cosby 30 years ago, adding, in a TV interview, that she was aware that other women would be coming forward with similar stories. She told Fox TV's Big Story Weekend, "At least three of them have made statements to the Montgomery County (Philadelphia) district attorney's office." Constand's allegations have since been rejected, but the Canadian still plans to fight a civil case with Cosby and the court papers show at least nine other women, who are listed as potential witnesses in her lawsuit.

Federline Slammed for Smoking Around Pregnant Spears

Britney Spears' husband Kevin Federline has been slammed for smoking in the presence of his pregnant wife. Last week, singer Spears ended weeks of speculation by confirming that she and her husband of seven months are expecting their first child. And despite the good news, Federline - already a father of two - was photographed smoking as he sat next to his wife in a car on April 14, sparking outrage. Fit Pregnancy editor-in-chief Peg Moline says that secondhand smoke can be extremely dangerous, affecting the development of the baby's lungs and possibly leading to childhood asthma. She notes, "If Kevin wants to smoke, he should do it outside."

Allen's Confidence Boosted by Johansson

Neurotic film-maker Woody Allen is unusually confident about his forthcoming film Match Point - because it features the "strong" acting talents of Scarlett Johansson. Allen cast the 20-year-old Johansson last summer after his original female lead Kate Winslet dropped out to spend more time with her two young children, Mia and Joe. Match Point is set to have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in France next month. Allen enthuses, "I'm very bullish about it and I'm usually not. I usually want to crawl into the ground after I make a film, almost invariably, but I'm very bullish about it because Scarlett Johansson is such a strong actress."

Brando Resort To Feature 30 Bungalows

A 30-bungalow holiday resort will be built on late star Marlon Brando's French Polynesian island, despite protests from the actor's former employees. Brando purchased the private island of Tetiaroa - where his son Teihotu is the only resident - after shooting classic movie Mutiny On The Bounty nearby in 1965, with the intention of using it as a private hideaway when he yearned for a break from his fast-paced Hollywood lifestyle. However, new owner Richard Bailey has entirely different plans for the tranquil spot - he wants to turn it into a luxury $40 million resort called The Brando. The developer says electricity, running water and sanitation have to be installed on the island but work would be carried out in an environmentally-friendly way to protect the local habitats. The Brando is scheduled to open for business in 2008, despite the efforts of former Brando staff to call a halt to construction work. Iconic Brando's ex-business manager Jo Ann Corrales has challenged the plan, saying the actor left part of the island to singer Michael Jackson. But Bailey has maintained Brando had agreed to the resort idea before he died last year.

Chan's Plea for Landmine Ban

Martial arts star Jackie Chan has urged world leaders to enforce a global ban on landmines. UN goodwill ambassador Chan is currently touring Cambodia in search of locations to make a film on the controversial subject, and he deems it his personal mission to stop the use of the deadly explosives. He says, "I have to stop them. They are hurting so many children. I want to make a film to promote the campaign to stop landmines." During the Rush Hour actor's three-day visit to Cambodia, Chan will be visiting recovering victims and a mine education project in the north west of the country as part of an Asian tour for children's charity UNICEF. Chan has been joined by a scriptwriter and an assistant director on the trip to give his planned movie more credibility.

Penn Shares Blame with Madonna Over Marriage

Actor Sean Penn has concluded his marriage to Madonna collapsed under the strain of their equally bad behavior. The Mystic River star, 44, admits his desire to stay out of the limelight mixed with Madonna's quest for international superstardom was a damaging combination, one which ultimately led to their divorce in 1989, after a turbulent four-year union. And while Penn - who's now married to Robin Wright Penn - accepts his Wild man, angry reputation at the time was justified, Madonna was not the innocent victim of his rage. He says, "She was in the process of becoming the biggest star in the world. I just wanted to make my films and hide. I was an angry young man. I had a lot demons and don't really know who could've lived with me at the time. I was just as badly behaved as her, so I can't point the finger of blame."

Jackman Flies In for Secret 'Superman' Filming?

Hugh Jackman is in his native Australia secretly shooting scenes for pal Bryan Singer's upcoming Superman movie. Website IESB.Net reports Jackman will play Clark Kent's adoptive father Jonathan Kent in flashback scenes in the much anticipated Superman Returns. Newcomer Brandon Routh will play Superman/Clark Kent in the new film, while movie veteran Eva Marie Saint will play his adoptive mother Martha Kent. The film also features Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth, Parker Posey, James Marsden, Frank Langella and Kal Penn, as well as archive footage of the late Marlon Brando, who played Superman's father Jor-El in the first Superman film in 1978.
