Kidman Corrects Her Pregnancy Comments

Nicole Kidman has vehemently denied reports she is pregnant - after sparking the rumors herself. The Hollywood actress told an Australian TV show on Sunday she was desperate to add to her family clan, and accidentally hinted she was already experiencing symptoms of pregnancy. She said, "I've got hormones running through my system as I sit wriggling on my chair." However, Kidman was quick to abolish the rumors she kick-started at the premiere of her new movie The Interpreter in Sydney, Australia, Monday night. She insisted, "Oh God, I've got such a big mouth! No, I'm not pregnant... I wouldn't answer that if I was at a dinner party."

Producers: 'Desperate Housewives' Not at War

The producers of Desperate Housewives are acting fast to play down reports the five stars of the show hate each other after feuding on the set of a Vanity Fair cover shoot. Marcia Cross reportedly lashed out at publicists when cast mate Teri Hatcher appeared in the middle of the group shot, despite requests that she wasn't made the centre of attention. But the show's producers insist the lengthy shoot became heated when circumstances out of the actress' control took over. In a statement released yesterday, the producers said, "This shoot simply did not go as planned. Because of this, our talent were made to deal as best they could with a situation not of their making. This one isolated incident does not define these women or their relationship."

Jackson Accuser Has Memory Lapse in Court

The son of Michael Jackson's former maid broke down in court yesterday, as his allegations that the Thriller singer molested him were picked apart under cross-examination. The 24-year-old man, who reportedly received a $2.4 million settlement from Jackson in the 1990s, had claimed in court on Monday that the 46-year-old had touched him inappropriately more than a decade ago. Jackson's defense attorney Thomas Mesereau Jr set out to discredit the man's story as he cross-examined him about inconsistencies between the story he told on Monday and statements he gave to authorities as recently as last December. The accuser told Mesereau, "I don't mean to sound like I'm wasting your time. It's hard being up here." He also said he told no one until 1993, when detectives investigating another boy's allegations came to him. That interview was followed by others in 1994 and in October, November and December 2004. Under cross-examination yesterday, he acknowledged that in his 1993 interview he initially said Jackson did not molest him. Mesereau asked if investigators became aggressive, calling Jackson a "molester" and cursing. The witness said he did not remember details of the interview. Mesereau said, "It was only after you were pushed real hard by the sheriffs that you began to say anything like that." The witness said he could not remember who was present or what was said in most of the interviews but recalled a few details from the first interview in 1993 because he listened to a recording of it before testifying.

Spears Tells Real Love Story with Reality TV Show

Pop beauty Britney Spears is fighting against false tabloid rumors about herself by launching a reality TV show documenting her relationship with husband Kevin Federline - to show her fans the truth. American TV network UPN have bought six episodes of the untitled series, which consists of videotape footage shot by the star and Federline, which tells the story of their courtship, engagement and wedding. Spears explains, "From the day that Kevin and I met, there have been constant rumors and inaccurate speculation about our lives together. I feel that last year the tabloids ran my life and I am really excited about showing my fans what really happened rather than all the stories, which have been misconstrued by journalists in the past."

Pitt Moves Out to Malibu

Brad Pitt isn't wasting any time in moving on from his marriage to Jennifer Aniston - he's bought a Malibu, California cliff-top retreat for $9 million. The Troy star, who has reportedly agreed to give his estranged wife the home they shared in Hollywood as part of a secret divorce settlement, fell in love with his new three-bedroom beachfront home after seeing it featured in architecture and property magazine Distinctive Homes. Brad's new pad also comes with four bathrooms, a 70 foot swimming pool and neighbors including Goldie Hawn and Mel Gibson. The home was also used as the setting for a murder in actress Kyra Sedgwick's new TV show The Closer.

Exhausted Penn To Take Sabbatical

Oscar winner Sean Penn's latest movie All The King's Men has left him with such severe exhaustion, he's retiring from the movie industry for several years to recover. Penn enjoyed playing governor Willie Stark opposite actors including Jude Law, Kate Winslet and Sir Anthony Hopkins in the political thriller based on Robert Penn Warren's best-selling novel of the same name. He explains, "The first week back, you want to make up for all the time you spent away from the kids - mistake. You have to pretend you're still away except you're not, so you just sleep and they come to see you, otherwise you're ill. This one (All The King's Men) has been extremely rough. I'm pretty burnt out and I'm going to have a couple of years off at least now."

Young Leaves Hospital

Rock legend Neil Young has left a New York hospital following brain surgery last week. The "Heart Of Gold" singer, 59, was admitted to hospital last Tuesday after suffering a "dangerous" brain aneurysm. Young was forced to cancel his appearance at Sunday's Juno Awards in his native Canada. His agent Bob Merlis says, "The doctors say his progress has been excellent and the expectation is that he will make a full recovery." Young's aneurysm was discovered last month after the singer's vision became blurry during his induction into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

Brando's Estate Sued by Former Business Manager

Marlon Brando's former business manager is suing the late actor's estate for sexual harassment and wrongful termination. In a lawsuit file don Monday, Jo An Corrales of Kalama, Washington, claims that she was subjected to a hostile work environment and that Brando exposed his genitals, touched her inappropriately and insisted she watch porn films with him. The suit demands 10 per cent of the $5 million in residuals that Corrales claims Brando received during the time of her three-year employment, which ended in 2004. In December, Corrales filed a claim, a precursor to the lawsuit, seeking $3.5 million, but it was rejected by Brando's trustees, says David J. Seeley, a lawyer for Brando's estate.

McKellen Fears 'X-Men' Snub

Sir Ian McKellen fears he won't be asked to resume his role as Magneto in the spin-off X-Men movie about the comic book character - because he's too old. McKellen played the evil scientist in X-Men, X2 and plans to reprise the role in X-Men 3, but the new movie focuses on the early years of the villain, so the 66-year-old believes it's unlikely he'll be chosen for the part. He explains, "I have heard of a story being developed. A Magneto spin-off would probably be about his early life and therefore might not need my participation. We'll see."

Miller Blasts Reports Law Engagement Is in Trouble

Layer Cake actress Sienna Miller has furiously hit out at reports her romance with fiance Jude Law is in trouble, insisting their feelings are stronger than ever. Law proposed to his Alfie co-star on Christmas Day but sparked rumors their relationship was deteriorating by delaying the wedding until next year and spending weeks away from the 23-year-old beauty shooting his latest movie All The King's Men. But Miller insists they had always intended a lengthy engagement, and that Law's filming schedule has been exaggerated by the press, because they have spent three months together this year in New Orleans, Louisiana. She says, "We are happily engaged. It was never our intention to get married immediately and, contrary to allegations that we spent weeks apart, I've spent three months of this year with Jude in New Orleans."
