Aniston Files for Divorce From Pitt

Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt - dashing any hopes of a reconciliation. The former Friends beauty cites "irreconcilable differences" in a divorce petition issued in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday as her reason for ending her four-and-a-half year marriage to the handsome actor. The petition gives no detail how the couple, who separated on January 7, plan to divide their assets, which include several multi-million dollar homes and film production company Plan B.

Blake Jurors Strike Back

The jurors who acquitted American actor Robert Blake have slammed Los Angeles District Attorney Steve Cooley after he branded them "incredibly stupid" Thursday - but he remains unrepentant. Last week, the jury found the former Baretta star not guilty of the 2001 slaying of Bonny Lee Bakley, who was shot in a car outside a restaurant where the couple had dined. But Cooley remains convinced Blake is "guilty as sin". Former jury foreman Thomas Nicholson counters, "I'm just disgusted. It appears to me he has no faith in the jury selection. After all, it was his people who helped choose us." Fellow juror Roberto Emerick adds, "If Mr. Cooley thinks there was enough evidence to convict, then he should spend more time doing his job and less time trying to make excuses." Cooley remains in defiant mood and added Thursday night, "There was a failure in this case. It was not my prosecutor. It was not the work of LAPD. It was the jurors didn't quite get it." He did concede, "I could have phrased it differently. But bottom line it was the wrong verdict."

Diaz Experiences Lion Attack on Safari

Cameron Diaz had the scare of her life while filming new MTV travel show Trippin' in Africa when a lion charged two of her cameramen. The Charlie's Angels star was preparing to go on a balloon ride over the Serengeti early one morning when she heard cries for help from her crewmen who had wandered off into the bush on a toilet trip. She says, "I can hear, I know exactly, like instinctually (sic) (it's) the paws of this cat just running and I hear this growling and then I hear this 'Aarrrghh'. I was like, 'Was that Tony or Tripp, I'm not sure...' It was one of the lions charging a couple of the guys. They ran like little babies back into the house. I, of course, grabbed my camera and ran outside." The actress also had a hairy encounter with a huge millipede while she was on the toilet. She recalls, "I was over going to the bathroom out at this crocodile facility that we're at. I'm, like, in the most precarious position, completely vulnerable and this millipede comes crawling out of the toilet and it's got, like, a zillion fingers coming out... I can do anything but insects."

Trump Insists Jackson Deal Is More Trouble Than It's Worth

Property tycoon Donald Trump is laughing off press reports that he wants to sign Michael Jackson to a run of concerts in Las Vegas - because he knows such a deal would be a huge headache. The multi-millionaire reportedly offered Jackson the chance to become the resident performer at his New Frontier Hotel and Casino, if the renowned singer is acquitted in his ongoing child molestation trial. But Trump insists he wouldn't be tempted to make the deal even if Jackson was a free man. He says, "It's an interesting idea, but I don't think he'd show up half the time. I can't imagine what the insurance policy would be like."

Jackson Maintains Race Attack in Easter Radio Interview

Michael Jackson asked fans to think of him during their prayers on Easter Sunday, during an appearance on pal Rev Jesse Jackson's weekly religious radio show. The pop superstar insisted he is "completely innocent" of child molestation charges, adding he's the victim of a conspiracy on Jackson's syndicated Keep Hope Alive show yesterday morning. The Thriller star stated a court-imposed gag order prevented him from discussing his trial and conspiracy claims in detail, but he told the host that he believes he is the latest in a long line of "black luminaries" to be unjustly accused. Jackson claimed he has joined Nelson Mandela and Muhammad Ali among the black leaders targeted by white lawmakers. During his hour-long interview, Jackson said, "I would love your prayers and your goodwill, and please be patient and be with me and believe in me because I am completely, completely innocent. But please know a lot of conspiracy is going on as we speak... I can't comment on it, but there's a lot of conspiracy out there." Jackson also used the interview to clear up reports he has financial problems and is on the verge of bankruptcy, stating, "That's not true at all. It's just one of their many schemes to embarrass me. It's to drag me through the mud."

Lohan's Grandmother Cashes In

Lindsay Lohan's grandmother is reportedly selling childhood pictures and videos of the singer for cash, against her family's wishes. Lohan's representatives have hit out at Marilyn - whose son, Lindsay's dad Michael, is estranged from the family and has served enforced time in rehab after assaulting his brother-in-law - dubbing her "unsupportive". A spokesperson for the family tells Pagesix.Com, "Lindsay's grandmother has been nothing but unsupportive of (Lindsay's mother) Dina and the children and doing her son's dirty work."

Zeta-Jones Tipped To Star in 'Dallas' Movie?

Catherine Zeta-Jones has been tipped to star in the big-screen version of classic TV show Dallas - but producers are refusing to confirm Brad Pitt as her co-star. The Oscar-winning beauty will play wholesome Pamela Ewing in the Texan oil drama, which originally ran for 13 years from 1978. Her Ocean's Twelve co-star Pitt is also expected to join her on the movie, which begins filming later this year. Screenwriter Robert Harling says, "The story starts with Bobby and Pam meeting and getting married. It is reinventing the Ewing family as if they exist in 2006 when the movie comes out. We want to make a big, all-star, flashy, go-for-it version of the TV series."

Kidman's 'Stepford Wives' Hell

Actress Nicole Kidman has blasted The Stepford Wives movie-makers for failing to "get the script right" and making her time on the set unbearable. The Oscar winning star has actively tried to limit her acting work to credible films, so she was horrified when it became abundantly clear to her midway through the shoot that the movie was destined to flop. Kidman recalls, "It went completely awry. The idea of it was very much in the same vein of Desperate Housewives but I just don't think they took the time to get the script right. That was not my happiest experience, put it that way. It wasn't joyful."

Applegate 'Charity' Musical Closes

Musical Sweet Charity has been forced to cancel its run on Broadway, New York, following poor ticket sales after its star Christina Applegate was forced to pull out. Anchorman star Applegate had to withdraw from the $7.5 million production earlier this month after suffering a broken foot while performing the show in Chicago, Illinois. And now producer Barry Weissler has announced plans to cancel the show, about unlucky-in-love dancer Charity Hope Valentine, completely. He says the decision to close the production was "painful but fiscally responsible".

Law Backs Out of Gervais Comedy

Actor Jude Law has disappointed British comic Ricky Gervais by pulling out of his forthcoming star-studded television comedy Extras. The Alfie heart-throb, who was set to play himself in an episode of the long-awaited The Office follow-up, has blamed "work commitments" for the turn-around. The Golden Globe-winning comedian will play Andy Millman in the show, a bit-part actor desperate for fame and fortune who always misses out on the lead roles.
