Lopez Finally Declares She's Married

Superstar Jennifer Lopez has finally confessed she married Marc Anthony - eight months after the couple walked down the aisle. In an interview with People magazine, Lopez acknowledges her union with the salsa singer for the first time since they tied the knot at her Beverly Hills, California, home in June - just five months after breaking off her engagement to Ben Affleck. She says, "Yes, we're married. I mean, come on, everyone knows. It's not a secret." The 34-year-old singer and actress adds that she has entered "phase two" - a less public, a "little bit suburban" life with Anthony and a far cry from her "Bennifer" days with Affleck. But Lopez insists she learned much from the hysteria surrounding her high- profile relationship with Affleck: "I take responsibility for the fact that I didn't make adjustments. Now I'm a little more careful. I travel in a certain way. I leave at a certain time. I learned."

Houston Rushed to Paris Hospital

Grammy winner Whitney Houston has been rushed to hospital in Paris, after being struck down with food poisoning on a flight. The "I Will Always Love You" singer was on a US flight bound for France Thursday when she started to show signs of illness, according to her publicist Nancy Seltzer. Seltzer says, "Whitney Houston was rushed to a hospital in Paris because of severe vomiting. She was sick on the aircraft. She is doing well. She has gastroenteritis." Gastroenteritis is an inflammation of the stomach and the intestines. Seltzer doesn't know the source of the food poisoning. Houston, 41, was treated in the emergency room of the, undisclosed, Paris hospital. Seltzer insists the singer will not need to be admitted to the hospital.

Affleck Takes Massive Pay Cut

Hollywood star Ben Affleck has waived his usual multi-million dollar fee to play actor George Reeves in a desperate bid to regain critical acclaim and box office success. The struggling actor's last four films - Gigli, Paycheck, Jersey Girl and Surviving Christmas - all flopped, but he hopes playing the Superman star in Truth, Justice And The American Way, who was mysteriously shot dead in Beverly Hills in 1959, will impress audiences and revive his flagging career. And Affleck is so convinced the fact-based drama is the perfect project for him at this juncture of his life, he's taken a massive pay cut - and will only earn $2.8 million. Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody co-stars in the upcoming film as a detective investigating Reeves' death. The movie is scheduled to begin filming this summer.

Portman Upsets Jews with Western Wall Kissing Scene

Natalie Portman has stirred up controversy in her native Israel by kissing actor Aki Avni in the shadow of sacred site the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The Closer star and Avni were shooting a romantic scene for new movie Free Zone near the holy prayer site, when Jewish bystanders took offence. One bystander says, "People were shouting that they were being immoral and police asked the two to leave the area. They agreed." According to a head rabbi at the site, the actors' actions had violated a strict code of conduct that prohibits anything romantic at the site.

Lohan's Dad Caught Up in Death Threat Scandal

Lindsay Lohan's mother and siblings have rushed to join the actress on the set of her new movie in New Orleans, Louisiana, after newspaper reports her father wants to kill them. Just days after Michael Lohan was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, gossips in New York claim he told a security guard he was planning to kill his estranged wife Dina and their kids. Reporters claim the allegations against Lohan can be found in divorce papers filed by his wife. In the leaked papers, Dina Lohan claims her husband told a security guard he was planning to kill her and get away with it, stating, "OJ has nothing on me... I know exactly how I'm going to kill (them). I know when I'm going to do it and I'm going to enjoy it." But Lohan's representatives insist the latest family scandal has failed to upset the teenager. One spokeswoman says, "Lindsay's in a good space. She's keeping busy." Meanwhile, Michael Lohan appeared on news show Primetime Live last night to clear up reports he's a menace, whose many arrests and legal problems are ruining his daughter's career. He said, "Am I looting anybody? No. Have I ever taken a penny from my daughter? No."

Sizemore Warned "Get Clean or Die"

A Los Angeles judge has warned actor Tom Sizemore he will die if he fails to beat his addiction to the drug methamphetamine. The Black Hawk Down star appeared at a court hearing yesterday, charged with possession of the drug and violation of probation for domestic violence towards his former fiancee Heidi Fleiss in 2003. He faces four years in prison when he is sentenced next month, but Superior Court Judge Antonio Barreto Jr. told Sizemore he faces a worse fate than jail. Judge Barreto Jr. told the actor he was "out of control and cannot stop. There are two ways for you to go. One is to recover. The other is to die." The court heard Sizemore, 43, had failed court-imposed drug tests seven times in just a month, while living in a drug treatment centre. On one occasion he was caught trying to use a prosthetic penis filled with a clean urine sample to fake the results. Prosecutors appealed for Sizemore to be taken into custody until he is sentenced on 24 March, a request the judge rejected.

'Hitch' Battled Race Issue

Eva Mendes was cast as Will Smith's love interest in new movie Hitch to avoid upsetting race groups. Movie bosses feared handing a Smith a black leading lady would alienate white audiences and a white actress would upset African American film-goers - so they settled on a latina. Smith explains, "There's sort of an accepted myth that if you have two black actors, a male and a female, in the lead of a romantic comedy, that people around the world don't want to see it We spend $50-something million making this movie and the studio would think that was tough on their investment. So the idea of a black actor and a white actress comes up — that'll work around the world, but it's a problem in the US."

Luhrmann's 'Alexander' To Be Made After All?

Baz Luhrmann's scrapped Alexander the Great movie may be made after all - after the disappointing response to Oliver Stone's take on the life of the Macedonian leader. The two films were due to go head to head at the box office until Luhrmann's movie - due to star Leonardo DiCaprio and Nicole Kidman - was delayed and then axed last November. But veteran producer Dino De Laurentiis has resurrected the picture, after Stone's Alexander, starring Colin Farrell and Angelina Jolie, attracted unfavorable reviews from critics and cinemagoers. The 85-year-old movie maker says, "It will be the Alexander that everyone has been waiting for. I don't want to hit out against Oliver Stone, who merits respect. But his picture was certainly flawed, and was missing the spine of a screenplay."

Schwimmer To Make West End Debut

David Schwimmer will follow in the footsteps of fellow Friends star Matthew Perry when he makes his London stage debut later this year. Schwimmer, 38, will star in a 13-week run of playwright Neil LaBute's new work Some Girls in the capital's West End. Some Girls, about an emotionally-distant lothario who revisits four ex-girlfriends before proposing to his current lover, opens on May 12 at London's Gielgud Theatre. Perry, Schwimmer's co-star in the defunct TV comedy, appeared in a London production of David Mamet's Sexual Perversity In Chicago opposite Minnie Driver in May 2003. He says, "I've always dreamed of doing a play in London. I've never been married or engaged but at this time of my life this play speaks to me about something I and my contemporaries are going through and have gone through. It's about relationships and the choices people make, learning to live with those choices, and recovering from the damage done when those choices go wrong."

Hilton Explains Steamy Same-Sex Kiss

Hotel heiress Paris Hilton has been forced to explain a steamy kiss with another female, after a photograph of their clinch was published on the internet. The private snap was recently unveiled to the public after Hilton's mobile phone was hacked and its contents published on the internet, forcing the 24-year-old's celebrity pals to change their numbers. The blonde beauty can be seen topless, kissing stunning MTV Latin America VJ Eglantina Zingg in the picture, but she claims it was just a bit of fun. She tells American magazine Us Weekly, "We were joking around at a photo shoot for a magazine. It wasn't sexual... But it's scary that someone out there can get into your private device."
