DiCaprio Finds Award "Surreal"

Hollywood heart-throb Leonardo DiCaprio is stunned to have received a lifetime achievement award - because he's only 30. The Titanic star was presented the Platinum Award at the Santa Barbara, California's International Film Festival on Sunday, commemorating the event's 20th anniversary and recognizing the actor's "exceptional career", according to festival director Roger Durling. DiCaprio says, "It's a lifetime achievement award, which is completely and utterly surreal, given I'm only 30 years old. But, you know, what has it been? Almost 17 years now. I've done quite a few films. But what's really exciting, for me, is that this is what I really love doing. It's what I want to do for the rest of my life."

Cher Says Goodbye for Good

Pop superstar Cher will end her Farewell Tour in April at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl after 325 shows in three years. The world trek, which has been dubbed the "Never Can Say Goodbye" tour, heads off to Australia and New Zealand next month before returning for the final shows in America, where Cher has performed in all but four of the 50 states. The Farewell Tour has become the most successful US tour by a female artist, selling more than three million tickets and grossing over $200 million. Cher admits April 30 will be an incredibly emotional night, but she insists the end of the tour had to come. She says, "I've had more fun and have had the best audiences these last three years than any shows I've ever done. That's why I kept asking my managers to add more and more shows. The people I've worked with are part of my family. I love all of them. I have so many happy memories from this tour. When I do my final show, I'll be thinking back to when I performed on the stage at the Bowl over 40 years ago with Sonny Bono (her former partner). That 325th show will complete the circle." The singer is looking forward to giving up her tour bus and heading home after the final show. She adds, "As far as ever going on the road again, this is it. My tour bus is retiring and going up on blocks. I'll hitch a ride home from the Hollywood Bowl. It'll be nice to sleep in my own bed for a change."

Baseball Legend Sues Over 'Sex and the City' Ads

Baseball legend Yogi Berra is suing Turner Broadcasting System for $10 million after his name appeared in the company's advertisements for Sex And The City re-runs. The former New York Yankee player, 79, was furious to see his name used "improperly" on subway and buses promotional material for the now-defunct HBO comedy. Berra was offended by one ad in particular, which asked readers to define the term "Yogasm". One of the multiple choice answers was "b) sex with Yogi Berra". The correct answer was "c) What Samantha has with a guy from yoga class", referring to Kim Cattrall's sex mad character. In the suit filed in New York Supreme Court, the retired sports star says he had been tainted by the ad, pointing out he is a married grandfather and a "deeply religious man who has maintained and continues to maintain a moral lifestyle".

Oscar Protest To Hail Bush-Baiting Stars

Anti-George W. Bush celebrities will be targeted on Oscar night by right wing campaigners who want to "thank" them for publicly blasting the Us President - because it helped him gain a second term in office. Citizens United are planning to fill billboards around the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles with giant ads praising the Hollywood actors who were vocal in their disapproval of Republican Bush in the run-up to last November's presidential elections. Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Affleck, Michael Moore, Chevy Chase, Martin Sheen, Barbra Streisand, and Sean Penn are among the stars Citizens United credit with raising Bush's profile - and inadvertently helping him to victory over Democrat rival John Kerry - by bashing him in the media, reports gossip website The Scoop. Citizens United President David Bossie says, "We're taking on Hollywood. We've done it in the past."

Love Caught Up in Financial Wrangles

Courtney Love is in the midst of new legal problems over a pair of allegedly unpaid bills. The former Hole frontwoman is facing a Saturday deadline to resolve non-payment of legal fees in one civil case, while another company is also claiming non-payment, according to a complaint filed recently in Olympia, Washington. WMC Mortgage Corp is seeking foreclosure on a 13-acre property which Love bought in 1997 for her late husband Kurt Cobain's family, meaning the home would be put up for bid at a public auction, reports MTV.Com. Love owes about $318,000, and the company claims she hasn't paid the bills in over a year.

Jackson's Ex-Wife To Star in His Trial

Michael Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe has agreed to give evidence against the singer during his child molestation trial. Rowe, who was married to the 46-year-old superstar for three years and is the mother of his children Prince and Paris, has now been formally added to the state's list of witnesses for the sensational court case which started on Monday. Insiders are already predicting her testimony will "blow the lid" off Jackson's bizarre lifestyle. The 37-year-old former nurse is also filing to regain custody of their two children after reportedly signing all rights over to Jackson after their divorce in 1999 - a settlement in which she receives an annual $1 million alimony payment and a home in Beverly Hills. It is yet to be confirmed whether Jackson's first wife Lisa Marie Presley will also take the stand.

Beckhams Set Date for Third Birth

Victoria Beckham will give birth to her third child in a Madrid hospital on February 25, according to reports. The former Spice Girl and her soccer star husband David Beckham have hired an entire floor of the Spanish capital's Clinica Ruber Internacional to ensure total privacy, reports British magazine Heat. Arrangements were made by Beckham's gynecologist Dr Esteban Carrecedo, who holds his own private practice at the clinic - at a cost to the Beckhams of $285,000. A source tells Heat, "Victoria originally wanted to book a whole floor at the Hospital Ruber Internacional, but hospital bosses told her that not even members of Spain's Royal Family would be given such preferential treatment. She and David told the hospital that they didn't want any other mums to be present so the birth could be completely private, but they were still knocked back."

Hurley Diet Branded Dangerous

Doctors have warned Elizabeth Hurley the diet she uses to stay in shape is ruining her health. The actress has revealed she shed all the weight she gained while pregnant with two-year-old son Damian, by eating just one meal a day and going to bed hungry. But using the diet over a long period of time puts Hurley at risk of contracting bone and muscle wasting conditions - and may jeopardize her chances of conceiving another child. Dr. Alan Stewart, director of London's Women's Nutrition Clinic, says, "Liz needs to increase her food uptake to at least 2,000 calories a day. Eating one main meal a day helps weight loss, but this should not be sustained over a two year period. At 7.5 stone and 5 foot 9 inches, Liz's BMI (Body Mass Index) would be 16 - which is three points below the minimum for her age group. This means she is at risk of developing osteoporosis and reduced muscle mass. A low BMI also reduces fertility."

Fox Hailed by Parkinson's Campaigners

Parkinson's disease campaigners have hailed Michael J Fox as an inspiration to fellow sufferers after he was photographed enjoying a fun-packed family day at the beach. The Back To The Future star, who was diagnosed with the illness 14 years ago, can be seen frolicking in the surf during a holiday on the Caribbean island of St Barts in snaps published by British celebrity magazine Hello! A spokesperson for the Parkinson's Disease Society says, "It's wonderful that he's looking so hale and hearty. He continues to be a great inspiration for sufferers - particularly younger ones. What Michael shows is it's possible to live a full, proper life with Parkinson's." The 43-year-old gave up working in 2000 to concentrate on spending time with his family and has been experimenting with a number of therapies to ease the effects of the potentially debilitating condition.

Wilson: "I'm Not an Alcoholic"

Heart-throb actor Owen Wilson has slammed reports he is an alcoholic receiving intensive treatment to overcome his addiction. The Royal Tenenbaums star freely admits he has attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in a research capacity, but he doesn't see himself as a recovering alcoholic. Wilson says of his experiences, "It definitely helps people but it's probably not great for somebody at AA to talk to the press - and I don't think I'm an alcoholic."
