Reeve Film To Go Ahead

A computer-animated movie being made by Christopher Reeve at the time of his death will be completed, producer Morris Berger has vowed. The paralyzed actor - who died on Sunday, aged 52 - was midway through making Yankee Irving, about a father and his baseball-playing son who overcomes obstacles to realize his ambitions. Reeve had described the project as "captivating, with the perfect blend of warmth and wit". And IDT Entertainment CEO Berger insists production will continue - despite the Superman star's death from a heart attack, nine years after a horse riding incident left him paralyzed. He says, "We've just been addressing personal issues and the great loss and reassuring our staff that the production will go on. Tomorrow we'll think those things through." The movie is scheduled for release in 2006.
Rodney Dangerfield Laid To Rest
Rodney Dangerfield was laid to rest over the weekend, in a ceremony attended by a range of stars, including fellow comedians Adam Sandler, Jim Carrey and Chris Rock. Jay Leno, Tim Allen and George Lopez were also among the nearly 400 mourners paying their respects at the Westwood Memorial Cemetery in California. Sandler and Carrey, who spoke at the ceremony, even served as Dangerfield's pallbearers, while Michael Bolton was a musical soloist. The 82-year-old Caddyshack star died last week after experiencing complications from heart-valve replacement surgery he underwent in August.
Stone: I Lost My Virginity to a Prostitute

Director Oliver Stone lost his virginity to a prostitute, because he didn't get the opportunity to meet girls at his single-sex school. The JFK film-maker has confessed his own father set up the experience because all-boy boarding schools and summer camps meant he was never around the opposite sex long enough to develop a relationship. Stone tells Playboy magazine, "My father was a generous man and I love him to this day for it. There's a great tradition of that, I believe. For me it was great." Stone's next movie is the epic Alexander starring Colin Farrell.
Kidman To Be Crowe's Aussie Co-Star?

Actor Russell Crowe's reported quest to attach an Australian female co-star in new movie Eucalyptus is poised for success - Nicole Kidman is in talks to sign up for the role. Last month, actress Bryce Dallas Howard was dropped from the movie because Crowe allegedly didn't want to share the screen with a woman born outside his homeland. If Kidman commits she'll join Crowe, Geoffrey Rush and director Jocelyn Moorhouse on the film adaptation of Murray Bail's novel. The book is set in the Australian state of New South Wales, where a widower (Rush) announces his beautiful daughter can only marry the man who can identify each of the eucalyptus trees covering the grounds of his estate. However, the daughter becomes smitten with a mysterious New Zealander (Crowe) who has enchanted her with a tale to correspond with each eucalyptus tree. The film is expected to begin production early next year.
Pfeiffer Won't Work with Husband

Hollywood beauty Michelle Pfeiffer refuses to work with her husband after making a rule not to mix their professional and personal lives. Television show creator David E Kelley - the mastermind behind TV hits like Ally McBeal and Boston Public - is desperate to persuade Pfeiffer to feature in his The Practice spin-off series Boston Legal, which stars James Spader and William Shatner. However, Kelley jokes this will only happen if he's fired from the project before Pfeiffer enters the show's set. He confides, "She would be great. The trick would be convincing her to ever work with me. Even though I might be able to persuade her that other people are running the show, she might not quite believe that I would completely stay out of the process. We made one rule that we would try not to work together if possible. For example, I wrote a feature a year ago that I thought she would happen to be right for. She read it, she liked it, and the next day I was fired off the project."
Lopez Cried, But Still Failed To Avoid Sex Scene
Jennifer Lopez once broke down in tears in front of director Oliver Stone in an attempt to avoid having to film a raunchy sex scene. Lopez was terrified of shooting a love-making sequence, in which she appears topless, with co-star Sean Penn in Stone's 1997 movie U Turn. But, despite her theatrical protest, Lopez still ended up having to endure the uncomfortable moment. She says, "Urgh. Yeah, the sex scenes were bad. It was hard being the only woman on set with those strong men. I just started crying and fighting. But Oliver was like, 'Take off your top.'" Last week Lopez admitted her first on-screen sex scene in 1995 film Money Train with Wesley Snipes was "horrible".
Tatum O'Neal: Ryan's a Useless Grandfather
Tatum O'Neal has blasted her father Ryan O'Neal on national TV again - by insisting he's a hopeless grandfather. The actress appeared on America's Oprah show yesterday to promote her explosive memoirs A Paper Life, but the interview quickly turned into another rant about her dad. After attacking him for his violent rages, O'Neal said, "I would love nothing more than my dad to sit here and say, 'I'm sorry, Tatum...' I'm sorry that he didn't see my oldest son graduate from high school. My eldest son, I just drove him to college and he doesn't even know he graduated. On September 23, my son just turned 17. He didn't call him. These are the kind of things that Ryan is not a part of." O'Neal was also critical of her father's long-term on-off partner Farrah Fawcett, for ignoring her and her 13-year-old brother Griffin when she fell for their dad. O'Neal added, "The problem is I had a 13-year-old brother that was crashing into Sylvester Stallone's car. They excluded both of us and he (Ryan) said, 'You take care of your brother.' They're forgetting part of the story. And then he knocked out Griffin's teeth and then he sent Griffin to rehab. They're forgetting the whole part of the story."
Lohan Rants on the Radio

Teen actress Lindsay Lohan called into a Los Angeles radio show yesterday morning to slam "upsetting" rumors being spread about her. The Mean Girls star broke up an interview between rocker-turned-TV host Mark McGrath and American Idol star Ryan Seacrest to rant about her treatment in the press. Lohan dismissed speculation about her family troubles as well as partying ways that are reportedly wrecking her acting career. She said, "That's not true. It's so upsetting." And when Sugar Ray singer McGrath offered his support, an angry Lohan snapped back, "I don't need support. This is all bulls**t." The actress also weighed in on her father Michael Lohan's legal troubles - the family patriarch has just dropped charges he filed against his wife Dina, claiming she tried to run him over in her car after a series of family rows. Lindsay admitted, "It sucks so much. He's my father and I love him to death but he's not acting rationally right now." Meanwhile, on Howard Stern's morning radio show, Michael Lohan confirmed he was dropping all charges against his wife, "so the kids don't through this anymore".
BET Bans Eminem Jackson Spoof Video

American TV network Black Entertainment Television (BET) has banned Eminem's latest promo "Just Lose It" after a complaint from Michael Jackson. The Detroit rapper dresses as the self-proclaimed King Of Pop in his latest video, during which 'Jackson' jumps around on a bed with children, his nose falls off and his hair bursts into flames - which spoofs the Thriller star's accident on the set of a Pepsi commercial in 1984. Jackson is furious with Eminem's promo and is urging all television networks to ban it. The singer's representative Ramone Bain says, "Michael Jackson is very angry. He feels that Eminem has crossed the line. Michael is calling upon all networks to pull the video. Bob Johnson (Bet's founder and chairman) has agreed to pull it. And that's an important audience for his Eminem's material." Eminem's lyrics include "Come here little kiddie, on my lap. Guess who's back with a brand new rap? And I don't mean rap, as in a case of child molestation". In the light of Jackson's upcoming trial to fight child molestation charges, Bain believes Eminem has been "insensitive". Bain continues, "Michael feels the video is disrespectful and offensive. It's one thing to spoof someone, it's another to be completely insensitive and disrespectful." Bain insists there was no truth to the reports Jackson would sue Eminem over the video.
Prince Causes a Stir with New Video

The video for Prince's new song "Cinnamon Girl" is causing quite a stir before it's even been released, as it follows the hardships of a teen Arab-American girl in a post 9-11 America. The clip, directed by video veteran Phil Harder, features Oscar-nominated Whale Rider star Keisha Castle-Hughes as an Arab-American girl who is fed up with the anti-Arab sentiments she encounters in everyday life. Disillusioned and angered, New Zealander Castle-Hughes' character detonates a bomb in an airport terminal, exploding herself and others. But a reverse motion immediately following the explosion reveals that it is only a thought of hers. Prince, who only appears in the video intermittently, sings, "Cinnamon girl mixed heritage / Never knew the meaning of color lines / 9-11 turned that all around / When she got accused of this crime." The video will premiere in America next week.
