Ritter's Family Sues Doctors

John Ritter's family is mourning the first anniversary of the actor's death - and taking the medics they claim could have kept him alive to court. Ritter's wife, actress Amy Yasbek, and the couple's kids have filed suit against doctors at St Joseph's Medical Center in Burbank, California, claiming they misdiagnosed the aortic aneurism that cost Ritter his life on September 11. Ritter complained of chest pains, tightness and vomiting before he collapsed on the set of sitcom 8 Simple Rules a year ago. The family suit claims, "If the proper procedures had been followed to diagnose and treat Mr. Ritter's symptoms, he would be alive and well today."

Klein and Holmes Split Up?

American Pie star Chris Klein and Dawson's Creek beauty Katie Holmes are reportedly reconsidering their engagement. The glamorous couple had a vicious fight last Friday in Los Angeles restaurant Maggiano's, which ended in Klein telling a tearful Holmes he wanted to leave her. A shocked witness tells website Pagesix.Com, "They came in holding hands, sat alone, and during the dinner Klein was heard delivering classic break-up lines like 'I need space, ' and 'it's not you, it's me'." But Holmes' representative insists they were arguing over their new house, not splitting up.

Townsend Gets Tough with Daredevil Theron

Charlize Theron's longtime boyfriend Stuart Townsend has urged the Oscar winner to slow down on film sets after she almost broke her back in a fall while filming in Berlin, Germany. The Irish actor has revealed his gorgeous girlfriend has been urged to rest up for six weeks after she insisted on doing her own stunts for the movie Aeon Flux, in which she plays an acrobatic superheroine. And he wants her to stop doing the work of her stunt doubles. Speaking on Ap Radio in America on Wednesday, Townsend said, "The slipped disc went in almost to the spinal cord. She's fine, but she could have been in a lot of trouble." Townsend confessed Theron isn't the type of actress to wimp out on set stunts: "She's not that kind of girl. She's like, 'Yeah, I'll do anything.' But I said to her, 'You know the stunt girl has got to start working now. Not you.'"

Harrison Ford Slims for 3D Role

Movie star Harrison Ford is in talks to star in James Cameron's new epic - in 3D. Hollywood has so far kept quiet about the project, which will be a science-fiction extravaganza - according to gossip site The Scoop. But Ford is reportedly slimming down for the film, because he fears 3D cameras will make him look fat. According to sources, a technical expert warned him, "If the normal camera adds 10 pounds, think how a 3-D camera can blob you up." The actor, currently involved with actress Calista Flockhart, is expected to film another Indiana Jones film within the next few years as well, if all goes according to plan.

Dunst and Gyllenhaal Will Reunite One Day

Actress Kirsten Dunst hopes she'll rekindle her romance with actor Jake Gyllenhaal one day - because he'll always be the love of her life. The Spider-Man 2 star has found the break up impossible because she's still besotted with the Day After Tomorrow hunk and hopes they can get back together when they've experienced single life and are older and wiser. Dunst admits, "He's (Gyllenhaal) an amazing man. What makes it so complicated is that I don't think this is the end of the story. Maybe someday it will work out, but I can't see that being for quite some time. Jake was the love of my life - he was, is and always will be. But I'm so young, he's so young, I just keep thinking how young we are. I'm still completely connected to him and we are friends, which is fantastic. It's just that, right now, both of us have stuff we need to go through and it's important, especially now, for me to be on my own."

Clinton Out of Intensive Care

Former American President Bill Clinton has been moved from intensive care to a hospital room following his heart surgery. Last week, the politician was admitted to New York's Presbyterian Hospital complaining of chest pains, which prompted doctors to give him a quadruple bypass after they discovered he had four severely clogged arteries. Clinton walked with assistance, sat up in bed and sat in a chair while continuing to recover. He is expected to remain in hospital for the next several days.

Crudup Wants To Remain Anonymous Off Screen

Hollywood actor Billy Crudup is keen to remain an enigma off screen - and has little interest in becoming a target for journalists. The Stage Beauty star, 36, believes the best actors are those who manage to keep their private lives out of the media glare - because it makes their screen performance more credible. Crudup says, "I want everything I'm in to be wildly successful, but I don't think that means I want everybody to know anything about me. The entire Hollywood publicity machine was built on 'whatever it takes to get our people out there' but, for me, I've had incredible opportunities to be able to play the roles I want to play, and make a living, so why do I need to pursue that? I'm not sure what it serves. I mean, what do you know about Robert DeNiro? The best actors are the actors we don't know anything about. If people know lots about me, then it becomes difficult for me to do my job of telling people I am someone else."

Athletics Company Sues Britney

San Diego, California, athletic company Lite Breeze Inc has stepped up its legal fight with Britney Spears, claiming the pop star owes the company millions over the use of their "In The Zone" phrase. Lite Breeze Inc bosses first filed suit against Spears in February, claiming she had infringed their "In The Zone" trademark by titling her 2003 album In The Zone. Spears didn't accept service of the legal papers until May and now Lite Breeze's attorneys are going after the pop superstar's entire In The Zone catalogue of merchandise and clothing to make an example of her. The case against Britney is expected to begin next year.

Campbell Shocks with Drug Confession

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has stunned a TV studio audience by exposing details of her drugs battle - after fighting to keep her ordeal a secret. The temperamental catwalk queen won $6,300 damages at London's High Court in 2002 after she sued a newspaper for taking pictures of her leaving a Narcotics Anonymous meeting in Los Angeles. Campbell took legal action claiming the photographers breached her privacy. However, on British chatshow host Michael Parkinson's TV program - to be aired in the UK tomorrow - the model admits she did battle an addiction to alcohol and has experimented with drugs. She told him, "Once an alcoholic addict, always an alcoholic addict. I took my first drug at 24 years old. I did a drug, a speedy drug. No one forced me to do it, I did it because I wanted to. I don't have any blame for anyone but myself."

Third Beckham Child Will Be a Boy

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham will have to try again if they plan to add a daughter to their family clan - the pregnant former Spice Girl is expecting another boy. Last week, the superstar pair, who are reportedly desperate to give children Brooklyn, five, and 23-month-old Romeo a baby sister, rushed to a clinic in Spain - where David plays soccer for top club Real Madrid - because they couldn't wait until March to learn the sex of their upcoming arrival. And following a scan, 30-year-old pop singer Victoria immediately informed pals her baby was in fact going to be a boy, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper. A friend says, "Everybody knows David and Victoria would have liked a little girl. It's fair to say they were a little disappointed, but that soon passed. They're just looking forward to the new arrival."
