Falco's Secret Triumph Over Breast Cancer

The Sopranos star Edie Falco has secretly battled breast cancer since February , but is delighted she's now received the "all-clear". The actress was diagnosed with the disease earlier this year and was concerned her short hair would raise suspicions she'd had cancer treatment. But Falco is now celebrating her triumph over the illness by rehearsing for her next Broadway show, Marsha Norman's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Night, Mother which opens in New York in October. Falco's representative tells Pagesix.Com, "Edie was diagnosed, treated and she's fine. More than five months have gone by since her last treatment and she's very healthy."

'Fahrenheit 9/11' Is Still Eligible for Oscars

Controversial documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 will be eligible for next year's Academy Awards, after a pirate version screened in Cuba was ruled "not authorized". According to Oscar rules, documentary films are disqualified from the awards if they are shown on TV or the internet within nine months of release - so film makers were mortified when the movie appeared on Cuban TV. But Fahrenheit 9/11's American distributor has insisted the broadcast was "not authorized" and it has been given the all clear by the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences spokesperson John Pavlik. Pavlik says, "If somebody steals your movie and puts it on TV, we're not going to penalise you for it." Moviemaker Michael Moore has until September 1 to submit the film for next year's Best Documentary Oscar category - it could also be eligible in the Best Picture, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay categories. It is hotly tipped to win Moore his second Academy Award, after his 2003 gong for Bowling For Columbine.

Bana Slams Bond Reports

Hulk star Eric Bana has dismissed reports he has signed a deal to replace Pierce Brosnan as James Bond as "crazy". The 35-year-old Australian actor was at the centre of a media frenzy last week when sources said producer Barbara Broccoli had offered Bana the part. But the Black Hawk Down star says he doesn't even want the coveted role - and has no idea where the story has come from. Bana fumes, "I've said like a million times I wouldn't do it. It's never, ever, ever been something we've had a discussion about. I haven't got a bloody clue where this all started."

Kidman Takes Time Out

Hollywood star Nicole Kidman has returned home to Australia for a two week vacation after finishing shooting her new movie. The actress jetted straight from New York - where she has been filming The Interpreter - to Sydney last Friday where she has a luxury home at the city's Darling Point. Kidman's publicist Wendy Day said the break was a "a couple of weeks R&R". But she can't rest too long - the star is due back in Hollywood later this month to begin filming the big screen version of hit 60s sitcom Bewitched.

Farrell's Lucky Underwear

Irish heart-throb Colin Farrell always wears his lucky underpants when he starts a new film - because they've never failed to bring him good fortune. The A Home at the End of the World star - who has been linked with leading ladies Angelina Jolie and Rosario Dawson - refuses to start work until he's donned the shamrock-design boxer shorts and has promised to keep up the tradition throughout his career. He explains, "My brother gave them to me. They're my lucky charm. If I don't have them, I won't come out of the trailer. They're starting to get a bit old now but I could never part with them."

De Niro To Get Italian Citizenship

Movie legend Robert De Niro will pick up the ultimate accolade at next month's Venice Film Festival - honorary Italian citizenship. The Goodfellas star, 60, will travel to the aquatic Italian city to promote his new animated film Shark Tale, in which he provides the voice for shark mob boss Don Lino. Organizers of the annual Veneto festival are rushing through paperwork to grant him joint citizenship with Italy and the US. A spokesman for the event says, "He has grounds for a claim through his great-grandparents who emigrated to America a hundred years ago. This would be the perfect way to start next month's festival."

Diana Ross Plans Comeback

Soul legend Diana Ross is planning a showbiz comeback, after spending years out of the spotlight. The singer stunned fans on Monday night, when she graced the red carpet in a rare public appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx's new movie Collateral. And Ross, who excitedly cheered on the arrival of boxing legend Muhammad Ali at the premiere, reveals she's toying with the idea of making a comeback in the near future by returning to singing and acting. She says, "I'll get back into things." In June, Ross performed at a Connecticut teenage community centre for free to help raise funds. In February, Ross made headlines for her drink driving conviction, which resulted in her spending two days in jail.

Janet Eyes 'Valley of the Dolls' Role

Pop beauty Janet Jackson is reportedly in talks to star in the remake of camp classic Valley Of The Dolls, after Christina Aguilera turned down a chance to star in the movie. Singer Aguilera recently rejected an opportunity to star in a revamped version of the 1967 film because she's currently working on her next album. But now sources close to Jackson say she's in talks with director Betty Thomas to appear in the movie herself. The original film, about three women whose lives are affected by Show business, starred Patty Duke and Sharon Tate.

Anderson and Kid Rock Back On?

Actress Pamela Anderson has reportedly reunited with her former lover Kid Rock, after the pair were spotted cavorting in a New York restaurant. The Baywatch actress, 37, met up with the Picture singer at St. Regis hotel after signing copies of her book Star all day in Manhattan - suggesting the couple may have rekindled their romance. Rock sat at the bar's piano and serenaded Anderson with Bob Seger's "Night Moves" and other songs according to gossip site Pagesix.Com.

Lohan's Mother Gives Valderrama Seal of Approval

That '70S Show star Wilmer Valderrama has been given the ultimate seal of approval for his new romance with Lindsay Lohan - from the actress' mother. Mean Girls star Lohan and Valderrama, 24, kept their relationship under wraps until after the redhead beauty's 18th birthday last month . And now that everything is out in the open, Lohan's mother Dina coos, "Wilmer is an angel. I just love him to death. He's a sweetheart, an old soul and a really great boy."
