Affleck Linked to Garner

Hollywood actor Ben Affleck has been romantically linked to his Daredevil co-star Jennifer Garner. Affleck, who was reportedly dating TV executive Enza Sambataro after his split from Gigli co-star Jennifer Lopez, is now at the center of media claims he and Garner have been enjoying romantic outings in Canada. Garner - rumored to have recently split from her Alias co-star Michael Vartan, who's currently making the movie Monster-in-Law with J.Lo - is staying at a rented private home in Vancouver, Canada as she makes her Daredevil spin-off Elektra. And while Affleck has mostly been in Los Angeles, sources tell America's Star magazine he's made at least one three-hour flight to the Canadian city to visit Garner. A source says, "(They were spotted in) downtown Vancouver kissing and holding hands. They were also seen kissing and hanging out in between set-ups at her trailer." Representatives for both stars deny there is any romance.

Nicholson To Buy Brando's Old Home?

Hollywood actor Jack Nicholson is expected to buy the home of his late screen legend pal Marlon Brando - to ensure his own privacy. Brando, who died earlier this month, lived high above Los Angeles' Mulholland Drive for many years - in full view of Nicholson's sprawling abode which sits nearby. To get to their homes, visitors are required to pass though a single electric gate. But now that Brando is gone, pals say Nicholson is thinking of snapping up his home, which is worth a reported $10 million. A source says, "You drive to the right and it's Jack, to the left it was Marlon. Jack won't want anyone else up there. Marlon's property looked down onto Jack's houses - he'll want to keep his privacy."

Diaz Wins Her Day in Court

Actress Cameron Diaz is to get her day in court with the photographer she claims tried to extort her over topless pictures she posed for at the beginning of her career. Snapper John Rutter allegedly forged Cameron's signature on a model's release, then asked her for millions of dollars for the semi-nude shots he took a decade ago. Rutter asked for more time to hire and prepare a new attorney during a court appearance in Los Angeles on Wednesday, but he was told jury selection would take place next week whether he was prepared or not.

Winona Stuns Restaurant Patrons with Outburst

Hollywood wildchild Winona Ryder shocked onlookers in a trendy Los Angeles restaurant - by having a loud argument on her mobile phone and then fleeing in tears. The Heathers beauty, 32, was dining with a couple of pals when she suddenly insisted on borrowing a mobile phone. One onlooker tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "Winona was sitting with two women and they seemed quite happy. But towards the end of the meal she began to look a bit agitated and told one of her companions to give her the mobile phone. The lady seemed reluctant to hand it over but gave in - and Winona ran with it into the ladies toilets." While in the bathroom, sources say Winona argued with a mystery caller before shouting, "No no Ricky, you promised." The source continues, "Some of the women went into the ladies' to check what was going on and found Winona squatting on the floor looking very upset. She screamed at them to leave her alone before locking herself in a cubicle." Minutes later, Winona fled the restaurant in tears.

Hawke Parties It Up in Los Angeles

Single hunk Ethan Hawke proved he's getting over his split from Uma Thurman by partying it up in Los Angeles with a mystery brunette. The Before Sunset actor - who separated from Thurman in September last year - flew out of the movie capital to attend a script reading but was soon at the city's Sunset Marquis Hotel with Dead Poet's Society pal Josh Charles. And, as the two men enjoyed a boozy night out together, they were joined by two mystery brunettes who accompanied them back to Hawke's one-bedroom bungalow after the bar closed. The party finally broke up at 5am when the two women were spotted leaving Hawke's property before he headed back to New York to watch a performance of Much Ado About Nothing in Central Park.

Timberlake To Sue Newspaper Over Cheating Story

Justin Timberlake's lawyers have been instructed to sue British newspaper News Of The World over a "bogus" story the pop star cheated on his girlfriend, Cameron Diaz, with a model. Lara Croft impersonator Lucy Clarkson told the publication she spent two "sizzling nights" with Timberlake while he was in London earlier this year. Timberlake initially considered suing Clarkson, but now he's going after the newspaper. His attorney, Marty Singer, insists the story is bogus and he's drafting letters to the tabloid demanding money, an apology and a retraction. Singer reveals the story was deeply distressing to both Timberlake and Diaz, who even called friends at American magazine Us Weekly to deny Clarkson's claims and insist her boyfriend hadn't cheated. Us Weekly journalist Marc Malkin, who spoke to Diaz, says, "Cameron wants the world to know that Justin Timberlake is not a cheater. She says that she completely trusts him, she loves him and they have a solid relationship."

Ronstadt To Return to Las Vegas

Linda Ronstadt is set for a speedy return to the casino she was reportedly ejected from last weekend - for a performance with filmmaker Michael Moore. Ronstadt's run of shows at Las Vegas, Nevada's Aladdin complex was brought to a halt on Saturday after she dedicated a song to Moore, the controversial director of Fahrenheit 9/11 - upsetting fans who disagreed with the filmmaker's movie attack on American President George W Bush. Many fans walked out of the show and some ripped down posters in protest. Ronstadt was later escorted from the premises. But, thanks to negotiations between the Recording Artists Coalition and the prospective new owners of the Aladdin Theater, Ronstadt is slated to return to the venue later this year. And she'll be taking Moore with her. In a letter to the Aladdin management, Moore stated his disappointment in the decision to axe Ronstadt's shows and offered to duet with her on "America The Beautiful" if the singer was invited back. He plans to make good on his promise. Planet Hollywood boss Robert Earl, the prospective new owner of the venue, says, "We hope to be approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission to become the new owners of the Aladdin Resort in Las Vegas as early as September 1, 2004. Upon the assumption of ownership, and with a new management team in place, we would like to offer the use of the Theatre of Performing Arts to Linda Ronstadt for a second concert and further to take Michael Moore up on his offer to join her on stage to introduce her and sing a song."

Spears Agrees to a Pre-Nup

Pop beauty Britney Spears has finally caved in to her family's demand that she get fiance Kevin Federline to sign a pre-nuptial agreement. The singer, 22, horrified her protective parents Jamie and Lynne when she insisted her marriage would be based on true love and therefore she didn't need to protect her vast wealth. But now Britney has reconsidered her position and sources say the paperwork is now being drawn up, ahead of the couple's lavish November 20 wedding. A source tells America's Star magazine, "They will definitely sign a pre-nup." Federline - who is currently unemployed - is celebrating becoming a father again, following the birth of his second child with ex-love Shar Jackson on Wednesday.

Raitt Uses Song To Blast Bush

Veteran rocker Bonnie Raitt has added her name to the list of celebrities attacking American President George W. Bush in the build-up to the November elections. The gravel-voiced singer drew riotous applause from the crowd at the Stockholm Jazz Festival in the Swedish capital on Tuesday by dedicating her hit "Your Good Thing (Is About To End)" to the leader, who's currently campaigning to remain in office. Before the opening chords of the tune rang out, Raitt screamed, "We're gonna sing this for George Bush because he's out of here, people!" Her Bush-baiting attitude was well received by the Swedes, who refused to support the president's efforts in the US-led invasion of Iraq.

Stiller Hurt Wife on 'Dodgeball' Set

Starsky And Hutch star Ben Stiller feared for his marriage after he accidentally hurt his wife Christine Taylor during filming of his latest movie Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. In an interview with British men's magazine Maxim, the American comedian told of how the incident took place during a rehearsal with Taylor. Stiller explains, "The worst injury was sustained by my wife when I hit her in the face. Twice. It kind of damaged out relationship more than anything. She just walked out of rehearsal. When you get hit in the face, it's hard not to get emotional about it. It sends you right back to the eighth grade."
