Hitch Me Baby, One More Time?

Representatives for Britney Spears have confirmed that the 22-year-old singer is engaged to Kevin Federline, a back-up dancer on the singer's recently canceled Onyx Hotel tour. No wedding date has been reported. Federline, whose close monitoring of Spears as she recovers from knee surgery first sparked the rumors, recently slipped a two-carat diamond engagement ring on her finger, much to the displeasure of his pregnant ex-girlfriend, Shar Jackson, who has since taken to the tabloids with delicious quotes about the new couple. Spears, meanwhile, is rumored to be planning a more traditional wedding -- one quite dissimilar from her Vegas nuptials with childhood friend Jason Alexander back in January, which lasted all of 55 hours before being annulled. --Prepared by IMDb Staff

Justin Comes to Britney's Aid

Pop hunk Justin Timberlake has come to the rescue of troubled ex-love Britney Spears' career - by offering to write songs for her. The Cry Me A River singer, who is now dating Hollywood star Cameron Diaz, has offered to help Britney's flagging career after watching her suffer the heartbreak of having to cancel her tour. And now Britney - who is recovering from an injured knee - is hoping her collaborations with Timberlake will keep fans happy as she waits to reschedule her Onyx Hotel tour. Winslet Pulls Out of Woody Film

British superstar Kate Winslet has pulled out of Woody Allen's new film - after she realized her frantic schedule will leave her no time for her young family. The Titanic actress - who is married to American Beauty director Sam Mendes - was due to co-star with Brian Cox, Emily Mortimer and Jonathan Rhys Meyers in the film, which will be the first Allen film to be shot entirely in Britain. However, after realizing publicity duties for Johnny Depp-starring film Neverland plus Mendes' own work on Gulf War drama Jarheads would have kept them apart all summer, Winslet withdrew. Her spokesperson explains, "Kate was very sad that she wouldn't be able to fit Woody's film in. She needs to be around her family."

Olsen Twins Cancel Australia Visit

Actress twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have canceled a promotional tour to Australia, following news Mary-Kate recently entered a program to combat an eating disorder. The 18-year-old millionaires were due to travel to Melbourne for the Australian premiere of New York Minute, but have now decided to stay in America while Mary-Kate completes her treatment. Robert Thorne, boss at the Olsen's company Dualstar Entertainment Group, says, "Ashley Olsen has decided to be with her family at this time. The Chicago beauty has always said she wants three children, as she is from a trio of siblings. Despite recent rumors the loved-up couple are trying for another baby together, Douglas is adamant he doesn't want anymore. He says, "Sometimes Catherine says she'd like three children, but then I point out her very handsome 25-year-old stepson. Look, women's careers are pretty finite. She's 34 and she wants to get busy, do some pictures. And I support that."

Demi Moore Gets Anti-War

Hollywood superstar Demi Moore demonstrated her opposition to American President George W Bush at the premiere of Fahrenheit 9/11 - by hurling insults at the screen. And she was pumping the air with her fist and saying things like, 'That was really harsh' and 'That was really crucial.' "A lot of stars were there and the reaction from a lot of them seemed very positive, but Demi certainly wasn't keeping her opinion to herself. Maybe she was a little hyper because she was drinking Jolt." Other big names at the event included Leonardo DiCaprio, Chris Rock, Matthew Perry, Billy Crystal and Sharon Stone.

Gibson Moves into TV

Mel Gibson's next project differs considerably from his controversial smash hit The Passion Of The Christ - it's a TV program about a single father raising five sons. Savages, currently in development for American television network ABC, is set to star Keith Carradine and is loosely based on Gibson's own life. Gibson - who himself has five sons - will not appear onscreen, but he has directed the first episode of the show in which Carradine plays the father of the boys, aged between 11 and 17.

Knowles 'Wears a Wig'

The secret of sexy singer Beyonce Knowles' immaculate hair has been revealed - she reportedly wears a wig. The Crazy In Love star is always perfectly coiffured, and sometimes dons a hairpiece when she's having a bad hair day. A friend tells British newspaper the Daily Sport, "She wears one sometimes because she has really thick Afro-Caribbean hair and she just can't manage it that well all the time. Angelina Jolie's Adoption Agent Admits Fraud

A woman who helped actress Angelina Jolie adopt her Cambodian son Maddox has pleaded guilty to visa fraud and money laundering. Lauryn Galindo, 53, of Hawaii and her sister in Seattle, Washington, Lynn Devin, received fees of $10,000 or more to arrange adoptions by US residents of children described as orphans - even though many still had parents, according to the documents. Devin - who pleaded guilty in December, but has not yet been sentenced - and Galindo have agreed to surrender all property associated with the crimes, including a home in Hawaii. The sisters operated an agency called Seattle International Adoptions, which paired hundreds of children from Cambodia with adoptive parents from 1997 to 2001, when suspicious US immigration authorities halted adoptions from the impoverished south-east Asian country. The adoption ring - which paid poor women as little as $100 (£ 55) for their children, according to an attorney - received a total of $93,700 (£52,055) for the adoptions cited in the case. Galindo could face up to 20 years in prison at a sentencing hearing set for September. Prosecutors have said the investigation will not change the status of children adopted through the Seattle adoption agency. Jolie adopted Maddox last year after meeting him in an orphanage in November 2001.
