Academy Award-winning actress and all-around Pretty Woman Julia Roberts is pregnant with twins, according to published reports that were confirmed by her spokeswoman Tuesday morning. The 36 year-old actress, who is married to cameraman Daniel Moder, is expected to give birth early next year. People magazine broke the news on its Web site Monday morning, and other publications quickly followed suit with various details; Us Weekly said that Roberts is about nine weeks along, while the Star dabbled in some genetic predetermination by citing "unidentified sources" that the twins were a boy and a girl. Spokeswoman Marcy Engelman did state that twins run in Roberts' family, saying that Roberts' great-grandmother and a pair of cousins are twins. Barbra Streisand has paid up after a lengthy court battle with a photographer who took photos of her Malibu, California, home as part of an environmental study. A delighted Kenneth Adelman was $177,000 richer yesterday after confirming the singer handed over the cash just before a court- imposed deadline on Friday. Streisand sued Adelman in May 2003 for $10 million, alleging invasion of privacy after the photographer snapped aerial shots of her compound and posted them on the Internet as part of his California Coastal Records Project - an online effort devoted to documenting oceanfront land. The complaint was dismissed last December, with the superstar ordered to pay her adversary's legal fees. And, after months of delays, Adelman says his attorney received a check for his share of the Streisand-dispensed reimbursements at about noon on Friday. He says, "It's the end of this." But Streisand isn't giving up hope she'll win what she called a privacy case in the end. Her attorney John Gatti isn't ruling out a legal comeback. He says, "Obviously, we always look at all the options. Things are under consideration."

Michael Jackson will stand trial on child molestation charges on September 13, a California judge has decided. Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Rodney Melville Friday set a provisional date for the trial - but said the date could be moved if lawyers provided him with a good reason for delay. Melville said he would rule later on a request by the defense team to reduce Jackson's $3 million bail, which is being opposed by prosecutors who claim he may flee if faced with a prison sentence. Jackson's lawyers contest the bail amount is excessive and claim he should get the same bail as anyone else in his situation. The singer will stand trial, indicted on charges of lewd acts upon a child, administering an intoxicating agent and conspiracy to commit child abduction, false imprisonment and extortion. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Friends of R&B diva Whitney Houston are fearing for her health again - after she and bad boy husband Bobby Brown horrified staff at plush London store Harrods with their outrageous behavior. The "I Will Always Love You" singer arrived at the glitzy London shop on Thursday with a TV crew in tow and proceeded to exhibit bizarre and demanding behavior. Staff say the troubled couple looked "drugged and disheveled" as they danced and giggled manically around the store before ordering the shop assistants to give them more than $18,300 worth of designer clothing for free, says British newspaper the Sunday Mirror. One tour assistant says, "She was all over the place. I could barely understand a word she was saying. Both of them were behaving really oddly. Latin singer Marc Anthony will soon be free to marry girlfriend Jennifer Lopez after filing for divorce from his wife, former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres. The 34-year-old singer filed for divorce at a civil court in the Dominican Republic capital of Santo Domingo Thursday - to enable him to be a free agent should he choose to walk Lopez down the aisle. Judge Maritza Capellan has three days to issue a decision. The singer married Torres in a civil ceremony in Las Vegas in May 2000. Tim Burton's ex-fiancee Lisa Marie claims the maverick director owes her $5.4 million as part of a lucrative settlement he promised her. The actress got engaged to Burton in 1992 but split with her on the set of 2001 movie Planet Of The Apes when he started dating her co-star Helena Bonham Carter. Marie - who featured in a series of Burton's movies including Ed Wood and Sleepy Hollow - insists the film-maker agreed to give her a multi-million dollar settlement. Sex And The City heart-throb Jason Lewis has filed a lawsuit against drinks giant Absolut Spirits Co. - for exploiting the use of his face in advertisements. The blonde actor - who played Kim Cattrall's love interest Smith Jerrod in the recently-defunct series - says he only agreed to appear in the infamous advertisement, which pictures him naked holding a bottle of Absolut Vodka between his legs, on the condition it would be limited for use in the series. However, Lewis - who filed the lawsuit on Thursday - says the company used his image to promote their Absolut Hunk cocktail on the internet. The lawsuit explains that Lewis is furious because he has deliberately shunned big money offers from tobacco and alcohol companies throughout his career, even when he was short of money. Absolut Spirits Co. have yet to respond to the suit.
