Cosby's Comments Spark Controversy

Comedian Bill Cosby embarrassed the National Association For Advancement Of Colored People (NAACP) at a gala on Monday - by attacking lower class African-Americans. The legendary star was speaking in Washington DC to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education ruling - which eradicated segregated schooling in America - but shocked organizers by using the platform to unfavorably compare sixties civil rights activists with today's youth. He said, "These people marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids - $500 sneakers for what? I can't even talk the way these people talk, 'Why you ain't,' 'Where you is' ... You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!" Cosby then added his thoughts that petty criminals who are shot dead should not be a source of sorrow. He explained, "These are not political criminals. These are people going around stealing Coca-Cola. People getting shot in the back of the head over a piece of pound cake and then we run out and we are outraged, saying, 'The cops shouldn't have shot him.' What the hell was he doing with the pound cake in his hand?"

New mum Gwyneth Paltrow took her baby daughter Apple for a stroll in London yesterday - and appears to have reformed her attitude to the paparazzi. But as Gwyneth and two bodyguards took the tiny tot out for a walk in London's lavish Belgravia district, she paused to smile for the cameras and even gave a good-natured comment. When asked how she was finding motherhood, Gwyneth beamed, "It is absolutely wonderful and I feel great. Apple is wonderful. I think she is a bit like both me and Chris."

Bosworth Ignores Bloom's Jealous Fans

Actress Kate Bosworth refuses to allow jealous fans of her boyfriend Orlando Bloom bring her down - because such bitter people are "not worth bothering about". The Blue Crush beauty accepts she's the subject of resentment for many of Bloom's lusty followers, but learned from an early age to ignore those with such shallow views. She says, "It doesn't bother me. I've realized as I've got older that people being jealous of you and nasty because of it aren't worth bothering about. When I was younger it would have got me down if people didn't like me, but now I know it's the people I really love who are important. It's like water off a duck's back for me now. I can deal with it."

He says, "I eBayed myself because a friend told me that some lunatic had made a pillowcase with my face on it. I thought it would be a very funny joke gift to give my mom for her birthday. I did, however, find a Victor Garber key chain that had a picture of him on the front, and on the back it said, 'And on the eighth day, God created Victor Garber.'"
