Harry Potter Family Left Out of Fourth Film

Boy wizard Harry Potter's evil uncle and aunt have been cut from the fourth movie in the fantasy series. British actors Richard Griffiths and Fiona Shaw were shocked to discover scenes involving their characters Vernon and Petunia Dursley have been scrapped from the film adaptation of JK Rowling's fourth book Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. Sleepy Hollow star Griffith explains, "Filming had already started on the fourth and Fiona and I asked the producers, 'Are we in it?' and they said, 'Oh, did no one tell you?' The problem is that the fourth book is just too long for a film, so they've done away with our bit - where Harry is at home with the Dursleys - and will just begin with him at school." The 56-year-old even begged Rowling to write a special scene for the scheming pair. He adds, "I said to JK Rowling, 'Couldn't the Dursleys turn up to an open day at Harry's school or something?' But she said, 'I don't think so.'" Griffiths, Shaw and Harry Melling - who plays the Dursleys' indulged son Dudley - have yet to find out whether they will be reappearing in the fifth movie.

Lopez Flees Affleck

Singer Jennifer Lopez and her new boyfriend Marc Anthony made a rapid escape from a Las Vegas casino when the sexy Latina learned her ex-beau Ben Affleck was also partying at the club. The 33-year-old "Jenny From The Block" beauty was in the gambling hotspot earlier this week shooting scenes for her cameo role in hit comedy Will & Grace when she decided to join singer Anthony on a trip to the Hard Rock casino. But as soon as the pair were made aware of film hunk Affleck's presence, they quickly fled the venue, according to Britain's Daily Mirror tabloid. An onlooker says, "It was crazy. Needless to say as soon as someone told her Ben was there she fled elsewhere." The formerly engaged couple's high-profile romance ended in January - four months after they canceled their wedding.

'Simpsons' Film Will Take Years

The eagerly-awaited movie version of The Simpsons is finally under way, but fans are being warned they will have to wait years before it hits cinemas. Yeardley Smith - who provides the voice for eight-year-old character Lisa Simpson - fears avid viewers of the show will lose interest in the cartoon family by the time the film is released, but believes it's more important for Simpsons bosses to focus their efforts on the current series rather than the movie. She says, "Animation takes forever. My wish for the show is that we go out with a bang not a pimple." Last week it emerged the new season of The Simpsons was under threat because of a pay revolt among the actors who give voices to Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and the other stars.

Willis To Marry Burns?

Hollywood hardman Bruce Willis is to marry his Baywatch star girlfriend Brooke Burns, after she accepted his romantic proposal in a Paris limousine. The Die Hard actor, 49, purchased a Cartier diamond ring in the French capital last week and slipped it on the 26-year-old Texan beauty's finger as they were enjoying a chauffeur-driven ride through the city. Burns has since been photographed proudly sporting the engagement trinket. A pal says, "He asked the driver and his bodyguard to leave the vehicle when they were on the Champs-Elysees. When they stepped out Brooke looked so happy, there was a tear in her eye." News of Willis' impending marriage comes just days after Ashton Kutcher rubbished reports he's planning to wed the actor's former wife Demi Moore.

Roseanne Quit Reality Show Because She Was Sick of Screaming

Comedienne Roseanne scrapped her reality TV show because producers wanted her to fake it. Program-makers wanted Roseanne to play up to the cameras and live up to her past reputation as a tough task master, by screaming at assistants and reacting to staged problems. But she refused to fake it for the cameras - and opted to quit the show so she could have a hysterectomy instead. She says, "On The Real Roseanne Show I learned fake reality sucks too. It was totally faked. They had me doing things on that show that I'd never do in real life, like get out of bed and shower and exercise and talk to people. We had second takes. I say they gave me a choice of continuing on or having an organ removed and I immediately chose having an organ removed. It was too hard and all a big mess. I wanted them to show what I really did and they didn't like what I really did. They just wanted me to be screaming at people and that isn't what I do anymore. They wanted me to be who I wasn't, so they'd set stuff up so I'd scream at people. I learned not to scream at people because I'm on a spiritual journey. I thought it was funny enough where you're trying real hard not to lose it."

Duchovny Eyes Move to Vancouver

Actor David Duchovny wants to quit Hollywood for a new life in Vancouver - so he can prove to locals how much he loves the Canadian city. Duchovny upset Vancouver residents in 1997 when he joked about the coastal city on comedian Conan O'Brien's show - prompting rumors that filming on his old series The X-Files was being moved to Los Angeles because he hated being in Canada. But after making a visit to Vancouver after a long absence to film his new comedy Connie And Carla, Duchovny admits he'd happily move north of the border. He says, "I made a joke about how it rained all the time there and I became like public enemy number one for a while. I'm starting to look for land up there to buy because I apologized all I could and it seems the only thing I can do is actually move up there to prove that I love it, which I do. So I will stop at nothing to actually show that I love Vancouver and I will move there if I have to and live the rest of my life in Vancouver. It's a beautiful city."

Johansson's a Workaholic

Lost In Translation star Scarlett Johansson has no time for romance, because she's too much in love with her career. The 19-year-old Bafta winner has been working constantly since her rise to Hollywood stardom and has recently signed up to be the new face of Calvin Klein. She says, "When you're overly ambitious and a workaholic there's always a fear your career will saturate you and you won't have time for your own piece of mind. People have said I should relax, but it's not an option for me right now. When you're doing something you love so much, there's nothing to complain about."

The Rock Attacked by Wife Over Sex Scene

The Rock's wife Dany showed him what she thought of his sex scene in new movie Walking Tall - by hitting him during the screening. The wrestler-turned-actor, real name Dwayne Johnson, enjoys a steamy scene with newcomer Ashley Scott in the movie, but he admits his wife of seven years wasn't impressed with what she saw. He says, "After I saw (the love scene), I was like, 'Wow, this is pretty sexy and steamy. I gotta show her because I'm not going to the premiere where there's like 1,000 people and then she like whacks me or something like that!' We screened it for all the family and friends down in Florida. She was watching and as soon as it was done, 'pow!' right in the back of the head."

Nick and Jessica Thrilled With Recruiting Mr. T

Pop couple Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey were elated when The A-Team icon Mr. T agreed to appear on their upcoming variety show, because he was one their childhood heroes. The singers have scored guest appearances from Kenny Rogers, Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds and Jewel for the Nick And Jessica Variety Hour, which airs in America on Sunday, but they were most thrilled when they got TV tough guy Mr. T to share screen time with them. Lachey says, "We wanted to make it relevant to us, and growing up as a kid, The A-Team was awesome to me, so Mr. T was cool enough to come on and do this little cameo thing. It was great. The first time we ran through the sketch with him in it I couldn't stop laughing. It was hysterical."

Travolta Thought Oprah and Barbra Were Autograph Hunters

Hollywood star John Travolta confused Oprah Winfrey and Barbra Streisand with autograph hunters, when he spotted them at his surprise 50th birthday party in Mexico. The actor was furious with wife Kelly Preston when they arrived at Cabos San Lucas for the free trip she had organized, and he saw what he thought were eager fans hopeful for his autograph. He explains, "I was like, 'Why is my wife soliciting this when we don't need it?' Everyone was being quiet waiting for me to register who they were, but I don't register anybody's face. I said to Kelly, 'See, there are no free rides. All these people are employees and they want autographs and photographs and this is what we're going to get for a free room. We're going to have to work the whole weekend for it!' Then I look again and see Barbra Streisand and Oprah and I think, 'What are they doing here?' Then they come toward me and I think, 'Oh this is a surprise party, but I was missing the surprise.' It was amazing. I thought I had died and this was the afterlife."
