Kelly Osbourne in Rehab

Rock wildchild Kelly Osbourne has checked into a drug rehabilitation center in California to be treated for an addiction to painkillers. The singer's parents Sharon Osbourne and former Black Sabbath frontman Ozzy Osbourne told Larry King Live on Friday that they had persuaded the singer to seek treatment after a British newspaper informed them they had photographs of her buying drugs. Sharon said, "She admitted it after a lot of twisting. Literally, a couple of hours ago, she was admitted to rehab." Ozzy added, "I can't believe we were buying into it. The amount of pills I found in her bag was astounding." Kelly was driven to rehab on Friday by her brother Jack. She is thought to be at the Promises Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Addiction Center where Jack was treated for substance abuse last year.

Jackson Bleeped for "Jesus" Comment

Singer Janet Jackson had TV censors in a spin when she replied "Jesus" to host David Letterman's grueling investigation into her controversially Super Bowl breast-baring incident. The frustrated star's blasphemous remark - which was edited out of Monday night's broadcast of The Late Show - was made in exasperation to Letterman's inquiry into the so-called "wardrobe malfunction" which Jackson and her duet partner Justin Timberlake initially blamed on causing the flesh flash. And despite her unwillingness to talk about the incident which sparked national outrage after it was beamed live across America last month, the sexy singer maintains the breast exposure "was totally an accident". She continued, "You're going to make me relive this? I want to put all that behind me. I truly do," before turning to the audience and adding, "(I'm) sure you're sick of hearing about this." But brave Letterman disagreed, replying, "I'm not so sure they are sick of hearing about it." Letterman then told Jackson it appeared the stunt looked intentional, at which point a visibly angry Jackson replied "Oh, Jesus".

Soderbergh Takes Over 'Che' Movie

Traffic Oscar-winner Benicio Del Toro and director Steven Soderbergh have teamed up again on a new biopic about Cuban revolutionary Che Guevara. The moviemaker will replace Terrence Malick as the project's director. Malick, who co-wrote the script for Che with Del Toro, quit the project to work with Colin Farrell on The New World. Soderbergh is now negotiating with Del Toro's supporting cast, which includes Ryan Gosling, Benjamin Bratt and Javier Bardem, to keep them involved in the film, which will start shooting this summer.

Baldwin Plans Divorce Guide

Movie star Alec Baldwin is considering turning his messy divorce with Kim Basinger battle into a new guide for warring dads. The Pearl Harbor star has only just completed his latest court battle with his sexy actress ex-wife for custody of his daughter Ireland - and he thinks his ongoing problems would make interesting reading. Baldwin tells New York magazine Gotham, "My own divorce experience has triggered me to want to write a book about divorce. I have a publisher that wants to work with me. It's going to be a compilation of essays from people who have been through the divorce experience from every aspect to share their hope and strength about how they got through that situation."

Garner Won't Desert TV Show

Sexy actress Jennifer Garner will stick with American TV drama Alias till the end. The 31-year-old star, who plays double agent Sydney Bristow in the hit spy show, will not let her budding film career interfere with the small screen series which made her a star. Golden Globe winning Garner remains excited about both Alias and her upcoming film 13 Going On 30. She says, "I'll be with Alias as long as it runs. It's my job, a job I love. I've said this before, because Alias is the best job ever, but 13 Going On 30 has been a job that every day I worked on it, I was in heaven. I think about it coming out, and I just can't wait for the people that I love to see it."

Zeta-Jones Bidding for Murderess Role

Actress Catherine Zeta-Jones is desperate to bring Welsh killer Ruth Ellis to the big screen, in a bid to win the same success as Oscar winner Charlize Theron. The Welsh Chicago star hopes starring in a film fueled by "gritty realism" will heighten her chances of scooping a Best Actress Academy Award, according to Britain's Daily Express tabloid. And she cites the movie based on Ellis - who in 1955 became the last woman to be hanged in Britain - as the perfect vehicle to show off her talents as a leading lady. A source says, "She wants to show the world she's a great actress. She's seeking out more meaty roles and she'd be perfect to play Ruth Ellis because she is Welsh." Earlier this year Theron's critical acclaimed portrayal of American murderess Aileen Wuornos in Monster landed her the Best Actress prize at the Oscars.

Bond Bosses at Loggerheads

James Bond star Pierce Brosnan will have to wait longer to find out if he's taking on the infamous role one more time - the film's bosses are at loggerheads over whether to cast a new actor in the role. The Irish actor recently revealed 007 producers were in "paralysis" over plans for Bond 21, and he is unsure if he will return for his fifth outing as the suave superspy. Now sources claim scriptwriters Andrew Neal and Robert Wade are in conflict with Eon Productions - who make the movies - over what direction the next film will take. An insider says, "The two scriptwriters want one kind of Bond, while Eon wants another. Neal and Wade want to go back to basics and concentrate on the plot and the characters, but Eon wants an even bigger special effects bonanza than Die Another Day, with loads of gadgets and computer wizardry. Obviously the issue affects the choice of who plays Bond."

Colin Firth Spies Bond Role

Love Actually hunk Colin Firth has emerged as the British public's first choice to take over from Pierce Brosnan as super spy James Bond. The 43-year-old actor, who wowed the ladies as sexy Jane Austen hero Mr. Darcy in Pride And Prejudice, piped hot tip Clive Owen to the top spot in a poll by video chain Choices Video. American Psycho star Christian Bale came in third, whilst British movie hunks Jude Law and Sean Bean were fourth and fifth respectively. Eon, the production company responsible for the James Bond franchise, have yet to announce who will play the next 007, leading to speculation that Pierce will be replaced.

Minogue To Woo Bond?

Pop star Kylie Minogue has emerged as the favorite to star opposite James Bond in the new 007 movie. The sexy singer is reportedly eager to launch a career on the big screen and insiders insist she's the number one choice for the traditionally sexy Bond girl role. A source says, "It's just a matter of whether she'll play the 'good' Bond girl or the 'evil' Bond girl." A spokesman for the Slow singer says no deal has been signed yet, but adds, "She is continually being sent film scripts." Yesterday current James Bond Pierce Brosnan revealed producers were still in "paralysis" over plans for the superspy's 21st outing on the big screen, and admitted he's unsure whether he'll be cast in the film.

End of an Era for Siegfried & Roy

Cabaret giants Siegfried & Roy's reign in Las Vegas has officially come to an end - the performers' massive billboard outside the Mirage hotel and casino was taken down on Wednesday. The duo's nightly show was canceled last October after Roy Horn was mauled onstage by his pet tiger. The illusionist pair became the highest-paid performers in Las Vegas history when they launched their show in 1990. Vegas showman Danny Gans' image will replace Siegfried & Roy's massive billboard.
