Jerry Lewis in Rehab

American comedy legend Jerry Lewis has checked himself into a rehab center in a bid to kick his steroid addiction. Medication which the funnyman has been taking to help fight pulmonary fibrosis have left him bloated and now Lewis feels it's high time to wean his body off the steroids. Despite his declining health, Lewis still participated in this year's Labor Day Telethon, helping raise $60.5 million to fight muscular dystrophy.

Solomon Files Lawsuit Against Paris

Movie producer Rick Solomon has filed a $10 million lawsuit against ex-girlfriend Paris Hilton, after a video of the couple having sex was leaked online. Solomon - now married to actress Shannen Doherty - is also suing Paris's spokeswoman Siri Garber and her parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, for slander. His lawyer Martin Singer filed a complaint in the Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday alleging the defendants had "aimed at portraying Solomon as a criminal who took advantage of an incapacitated young woman", and they "claimed that Hilton was so out of it that she could not even hold herself up". However, Singer argues "Hilton repeatedly posed and preened in front of the camera", before taking control of the camcorder and filming herself in the bathroom where she said "her breasts looked much better" in the light. Solomon is suing the defendants for slander because they claimed Hilton could have been underage - although he says she was 21 when the video was filmed in May 2001. The producer is also suing former pal Don Thrasher after he told the American TV show Celebrity Justice he sold the tape to pornographer for $50,000 and then passed half the cash to Solomon - something he denies.

Nicolas & Lisa Marie Return to Romance

Nicolas Cage and Lisa Marie Presley have fueled speculation they're back together after spending the Halloween weekend in New Orleans, Louisiana. The couple wed and divorced last year, but have become close again - and recently spent time at the New Orleans mansion Cage bought while he was filming Sonny on location. Sources tell American tabloid Star the couple spent time to themselves. And Cage's voodoo priestess pal Miriam Chamani, who performed the blessing at the pair's Hawaiian wedding in August 2002, has confirmed she convinced the actor that bringing his ex to New Orleans was a good idea. She says, "They both believe the second time around might work better. They just needed time to be alone. They have a desire to make it work. There were problems, but now they're back together and the timing is good. Nic and Lisa Marie had a lot of good times together in New Orleans before they got married and they want to recapture some of those feelings."

Britney's Tears

An emotional Britney Spears broke down in tears during the recording of a TV interview with talk show queen Diane Sawyer, aired in America Thursday. The "Me Against The Music" singer - who cut short her European promotional tour to fly back to America earlier this month, citing exhaustion - sobbed as she told Sawyer about coping with illness in her family, and the harsh treatment she has received from the press over the past year. However, Britney maintained she still hopes to settle down and have a family, despite the intense pressure of life in the limelight. She says, "People like Faith Hill and Madonna, they give me hope. The fact that they can have their families with them, and they can balance the whole thing. I think that's inspiring." And on kids, she adds, "They become your life. It's not all about you anymore, and you have a focus that is so beautiful."

Judd Arrested

Country star Wynonna Judd was arrested Thursday after cops caught her speeding in Nashville, Tennessee. The singer was breathalysed on the spot and charged with driving under the influence after it was discovered she had more than twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system. Judd, whose actress sister Ashley Judd is currently starring on Broadway, New York, in Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, was released on bail. The singer, who had attended a friend's birthday party just before her arrest, has since released a statement. She says, "I know there is never a situation where drinking and driving is acceptable and I take full responsibility for my error in judgment."

Broadway 'Taboo' Slammed by American Critics

Eighties pop star Boy George's musical Taboo has been mauled by critics after opening on New York's Broadway. The spectacular show, which is backed and produced by former talk show host Rosie O'Donnell, tells the singer's life story and features George as performance artist Leigh Bowery. Taboo moved to New York after a successful spell in London, but Big Apple critics were unimpressed by preview shows. The New York Times wrote it is "a disastrously overcrowded tableau of a show", the New York Post described it as "a production with such an acute case of meaning-deprivation that you almost forget what's happening as it's happening" and national newspaper USA Today called it "a delightful experience... if you leave after the first act." O'Donnell invested $10 million of her own money in the show - after spotting it in London - and she is unmoved by criticism: "Taboo is a legitimate, knock-'em-down, leave-'em-screaming, worth-a-$100-a-seat Broadway show."

Roberts: "I Didn't Wreck Moder's First Marriage"

Julia Roberts has hit out at claims she broke up her husband Danny Moder's first marriage, despite starting a relationship with him whilst he was still with his ex-wife. The Erin Brockovich star married the cameraman at her New Mexico ranch in July 2002, soon after he divorced first wife Vera - who subsequently accused Roberts of breaking the couple up. But Roberts insists the marriage was over before she met Moder on the set of 2000 movie The Mexican. She says, "He sorted his whole thing out, separate and apart from me. And I sorted my life out, separate and apart from him. I think that's the only reason we were able to ultimately fall in love with each other and be together. I'm in the harbor of my life. Danny has really shined the light for me." Roberts also dismisses the suggestion her status as an A-list star affects their relationship, saying, "The jobs don't get married. The people get married. I do think I am fundamentally the same, relatively simple person I've always been. I just have this flashy, wacky job that confuses people into thinking that I'm somehow ultra-fascinating."

DiCaprio's Camera Panic

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has offered a $20,000 reward for the return of a camera he lost in a nightclub - prompting speculation over what kind of pictures the camera contained. The Titanic star flew into a panic when he realized the camera - which is not thought to be valuable in itself - had gone missing as he partied in Los Angeles' trendy Shelter nightclub recently, telling fellow revelers that it contained irreplaceable photos, according to Britain's Heat magazine. However, DiCaprio's hysteria over the camera immediately led clubbers to speculate what pictures he had been taking with it. One reveler says, "What sort of pictures were on that roll of film if he's offered that kind of money for it? He was pretty stressed. He really needed to get that camera back." DiCaprio's efforts were in vain however, and the camera remains missing.

Farrah Fawcett's Broadway Debut Cancelled

Actress Farrah Fawcett's Broadway debut in the play Bobbi Boland has been hit with a sudden cancellation. The $2 million production, which was scheduled to open on November 24 at New York's Cort Theatre, closed on Sunday after only seven previews - the first Broadway play in 11 years to close before its official unveiling. Producer Joyce Johnson says, "The play simply does not work in a Broadway house. This work debuted in a more intimate, off-Broadway theater some years back, which is where I first saw Bobbi Boland. The vivid characters that I saw in such a small setting did not transfer to the Cort. It's as simple as that. I am especially disappointed that, in the end, I could not produce Farrah Fawcett's Broadway debut. She is a very intelligent, sensitive, fine actress - and a great star. It is my hope that she will be back on Broadway soon."

Beckham: Stop Making Up Stories About My Marriage

Soccer superstar David Beckham has furiously hit out at the press for "making up silly stories", following yet more reports his marriage is in turmoil. Beckham and his wife Victoria Beckham are threatening to sue Britain's Sunday Mirror over claims the singer is demanding her spouse return from Spain - home to his current club Real Madrid - or else she'll walk out on their marriage. And although the superstar pair have issued a joint statement vehemently denying the allegations, Beckham couldn't hold back his frustration following an international match in his native Britain yesterday - telling reporters the false stories are bringing him down. He said, "I'm fed up. I love my wife. She loves me. There have never been any problems My wife is very committed to her husband and children and people should stop making up silly stories. I keep commenting on it, when I shouldn't have to. I'm fed up with commenting on it."
