Breaking News: Aaron Sorkin Leaving 'The West Wing'
Variety reported Thursday afternoon that Emmy Award-winning writer Aaron Sorkin would be leaving The West Wing at the end of this season, its fourth. The driving creative force behind the White House staff drama and writer of most of its episodes, Sorkin had his hands full this past season, most notably with a decline in ratings for the hit show, which has won the Best Drama Series Emmy for the past three years. Wing also suffered the loss this year of one of its biggest stars, Rob Lowe, who reportedly decided to leave after a salary dispute that did not offer him as high a raise as his co-stars (Lowe was considered the show's lead when it launched, and thus was paid more). Longtime Sorkin collaborator Thomas Schlamme, a fellow executive producer and Emmy-winning director, was expected to announce his departure as well. Sorkin still has one year left on his contract with Warner Bros. TV. --Prepared by IMDb staff

'Will & Grace' Star Charged with Theft
Will & Grace star Shelley Morrison has been charged with misdemeanor theft, police have confirmed. The 66-year old actress - who plays maid Rosario in the hit show - was allegedly caught shoplifting in Los Angeles department store Robinsons-May where staff accused her of stealing $446 worth of costume jewelry. Morrison was released on bail after paying a bond of $20,000 and will have to attend court on May 14 for the arraignment. Her lawyer says, "She is relieved and gratified that she is not being charged with a felony. At this point, she stands innocent. Until she receives formal notice of the charges, and the evidence behind them at the arraignment, she cannot comment further. Ms. Morrison does stand on her impeccable record as a wonderful actress and humanitarian." NBC, the company behind the hit series, have confirmed the arrest will have no bearing on Morrison's employment by them.

Pals of Kutcher, who broke up with his Just Married co-star Murphy earlier this month, say he asked out Jen Goldman right after this split. Kutcher confirms, "We went on a couple of dates." On one of those dates, say eyewitnesses, 25-year-old Kutcher and Goldman were opening sharing a passionate kiss at the West Hollywood hot-spot the Lounge - while Murphy was there. Keitel Blasted Over Court Absence

Hollywood actor Harvey Keitel has been slammed by a judge after failing to show up for a child support hearing. The Pulp Fiction star was due at Manhattan Family Court on Tuesday for the hearing to decide how much money he has to pay Lisa Karmazin - the mother of his 19 month old son Hudson. The actor's lawyer William Beslow earlier this month sent a letter explaining the actor would be tied up filming in Madrid. But Hearing Examiner David Kirshblum warned there would be repercussions if Keitel misses the hastily rearranged date on July 14. According to the New York Daily News, Kirshblum said he found it "disconcerting" that he had set aside two afternoons for Keitel to testify, after adjourning previous court dates - but had still failed to get the actor back to court. Kirshblum also ordered Keitel to pay $35,723.12 to Jeffrey Cohen, Karmazin's attorney, on top of the $20,000 already paid in legal fees. The star was also ordered to turn over copies of any newly executed movie contracts to Cohen, plus his latest tax returns, so the attorney knows just how much Keitel is worth when he takes the stand.

Charlie's Angels beauty Cameron Diaz had an uncomfortable moment at a music festival over the weekend - because her ex-boyfriend Jared Leto was also there. The recently-separated screen stars were at the Coachella Music Festival in Indio, California, on Saturday, which led to a lot of clever maneuvering to avoid a showdown. An onlooker says, "They each knew the other was there, and it seemed Cameron was more interested in avoiding him than vice versa." But, adds another source, "They briefly ran into each other once. She took it in her stride."

A source tells American magazine Us Weekly, "Reese doesn't want to have to fly back and forth because of her pregnancy." But the source adds that the mother-of-one, married to actor Ryan Phillippe, still plans to fly to New York City in June for the film's premiere.
Jack Osbourne Speaks Out Over Rehab

Troubled teen Jack Osbourne has spoken out about the drink and drugs problems that led to his admission into rehabilitation last week. In an interview with American magazine People, Jack confirms, "I got caught up in my new lifestyle and got carried away with drugs and alcohol. I voluntarily checked myself into a detox facility for my own health and well- being."
