Crowe Turns Down Wedding Photos Deal

Russell Crowe has turned down a mega-bucks deal to publish his wedding photos - after seeing the negative publicity caused by fellow actor Michael Douglas' snaps. Douglas and wife Catherine Zeta-Jones - who signed a $1.5 million deal with Britain's OK! publication for official pictures of their wedding - are currently suing Hello! after the magazine published unauthorized snaps of their special day. However, the pair have been criticized for the deal and subsequent law suit - which has prompted Crowe to turn down a $2.25 million offer for his upcoming wedding to Danielle Spencer. A source says, "Russell has been shocked by the sour attention the Douglas's have got over the court case. He is a private person and he doesn't want all the attention that goes with selling your wedding photos." Crowe is currently planning measures to ensure high security to ensure no pictures are taken at his April 5 nuptials on his Australian ranch.

Flatley Claims Consensual Sex in Rape Lawsuit

Riverdance star Michael Flatley has claimed he had consensual sex with the woman who is suing him for allegedly raping her. The Irish super-hoofer is facing a $33 million lawsuit from the unnamed American woman, who claims Flatley raped her in a Las Vegas hotel last October. However, Flatley says she agreed to sex, kissed him goodbye the next morning and has volunteered to take a lie detector test to prove it. His lawyer Bert Fields also adds that when the lady allegedly contacted the star months ago requesting money not to make her claims public his client went to American police investigators the FBI. Fields claims, "That is not the act of a guy who raped someone." Police have confirmed they were not pursuing their investigation into the alleged incident. Flatley's fiancee Lisa Murphy - who said she was "shocked beyond belief" by the allegations - is also supporting her man. She says, "This whole thing is just complete and total lies. I stand by my man. I love him."

Berry Removes Temptation from Benet

Curvy actress Halle Berry is going to militant lengths to cure her sex- addicted husband Eric Benet - she's removed all other women from his life. The dreadlocked singer undertook therapy for his condition after straying from his sexy wife last year - and Berry has now successfully expunged all temptation from his life. Benet's female assistant is now seeking alternative employment, and Berry has taken to chauffeuring her husband to and from the gym, whilst also insisting they only eat at gay restaurants.

Willis' 'Die Hard' Doubts

Hollywood star Bruce Willis has cast doubt over plans for a fourth installment of action franchise Die Hard - claiming he's bored of the films. Reports late last year claimed Willis was close to signing a deal to appear in Die Hard 4. But the Hart's War star now seems unsure if he wants to slip on John McClane's famous bloodied white vest for another action outing. Willis says, "I could just do Die Hards for the rest of my life and simply play that character, and I'd probably make an okay living. But as much as my job is to be entertaining, I also need to keep myself interested in the work. And for a long time, I haven't been interested in making a Bruce Willis action movie. That would bore me, and I think the audience would be bored, too.'" But the 47-year-old refuses to rule out another Die Hard, insisting the decision is down to movie studio Fox. He adds, "Fox certainly wants it to happen, but I think they have a tough job ahead of them. Because within the genre of the three Die Hard films that have already been done, it has always been about terrorism. And to do a film about terrorism right now doesn't seem like a very good idea."

Director Anderson Gets into Fight

Punch Drunk Love director Paul Thomas Anderson got into a tussle at a celebrity-studded charity event in New York last week - and was nearly thrown out by security as a result. Anderson was at the Night Of Too Many Stars event at the Roseland Ballroom which featured stage performances by comics like Adam Sandler, Jack Black and Dana Carvey of Wayne's World fame. The maverick director began arguing with a sound technician who was recording the event, raising money for the Autism Coalition. A guest who witnessed the disagreement says, "He was saying it wasn't loud enough and that nobody could hear anything." The argument got so heated that several security guards intervened and began to escort Anderson to the door. The guards reluctantly allowed the fuming director to stay after Sandler's fiancee, Jackie Titone ran over to diffuse the situation.

Nutty Lewis Cites Greatest Achievement

Madcap comic Jerry Lewis wants to be remembered for the 1963 film The Nutty Professor - which he considers the crowning achievement of his show business career. Lewis, who co-starred with Dean Martin in more than a dozen comedy classics in the 1950s, has been suffering from chronic back pain and pulmonary fibrosis, a lung problem diagnosed several years ago. The 76-year-old says, "You know, every director in the history of cinema prays for the one work. And if you get the one work, you can sit with your grandchildren and tell them you did something substantial. And I've had mine - The Nutty Professor. That's the one." Lewis also played a part in the 1996 remake starring Eddie Murphy - he was executive producer on the movie.

Stuntman Says Blake Bragged He Could "Act" Innocent

A stuntman testified on Tuesday how Robert Blake boasted he could fool police with his acting skills and deny he killed his wife. Veteran Hollywood stuntman Ronald 'Duffy' Hambleton said former Baretta star Blake proposed that the stuntman kill Bonny Lee Bakley while the actor and wife walked to or from a Studio City, California, restaurant. Hambleton told Deputy District Attorney Greg Dohi, "The first thing that came to mind was what's he going to be doing... when someone is 'mugging' your wife? His response was, 'Don't worry about that, I'm an actor.'" The 66-year-old stuntman testified Blake proposed murder in March 2001 but Hambleton didn't tell cops about it until November 2001 - six months after Bakley's murder. Hambleton explained, "I wasn't for sure (that Blake was serious). It was more a feeling of hope that it was b.s." Prosecutors also introduced a suspicious note found in the car of Blake's bodyguard and co-defendant Earle Caldwell. Police found a piece of crumpled yellow writing paper inside Caldwell's Jeep, containing a list of items that included two shovels, a .25-caliber gun, lye, pool acid, old rugs and black colored duct tape. A Los Angeles Police Department detective testified that Caldwell admitted he wrote the list.

J.Lo's Ex Wins Celebrity Challenge Show

Jennifer Lopez's ex-husband Cris Judd has won the American version of TV show I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here - which also saw him break down over the loss of his Latina wife. During the first week of filming the show - which takes a group of celebrities into the Australian rain forest where they have to survive on their own - the ex-dancer gave viewers the impression that life after J.Lo was improving. He told his fellow contestants, "I'm disappointed, I'm not pissed at her. I'm ready to love again for the next 30 years or so. I've got my whole life ahead of me." But later on the depressed star's view of life changed and he broke down, sobbing to the other contestants, "I thought I would be over it by now, but I'm not. It's so hard, it's so hard." By the end of the show, however, Judd had much to smile about - he received the most votes from viewers, meaning he won the contest.

Cher's Wig on the Loose

Singing superstar Cher is livid after learning one of her prized - and highly expensive - wigs has been stolen. The Believe singer's production company has reported the theft of the hairpiece valued at $8,000 to $10,000 - apparently stolen from the star's collection of tresses during a sold-out concert stop in Richmond, Virginia. Police spokeswoman Christie Collins says, "The wig is described as half- black and half-teal, and it was braided." While police did not release the wig's value, they have classified the case as a grand larceny - meaning the value exceeds $200. Cher's tour manager estimated the value between $8,000 and $10,000, says Larry W. Wilson Jr., general manager of the Richmond Coliseum, where the Living Proof - Farewell Tour 2003 made a stop on February 25. Cher took off the wig after singing "All Or Nothing" and put it back in a room where her other wigs were stored, says Collins. He notes, "We're still not 100 per cent sure the wig was stolen out of our facility."

Madonna's Baseball Bat Black Eye

Pop superstar Madonna is blaming her black eye on an accidental crack from son's baseball bat - laughing off reports she and husband Guy Ritchie were involved in a violent fracas. The Material Girl claims her son Rocco was given the bat for his second birthday, and has developed a confident swing. A family friend says, "His mom is keen to encourage his natural ability and she pitches up balls to Rocco in the yard every afternoon. Nine times out of 10 he hits them, but this time, he lost control of the bat and whacked Madonna in the eye."
