Rosie's New Baby

Retired American talk show host Rosie O'Donnell is celebrating the birth of her first natural child. The beloved TV star's lesbian lover Kelli Carpenter gave birth to baby Vivienne Rose in New York on Friday. The couple have three adopted children. The couple named the baby Vivienne Rose after the heroine of bestselling book Divine Secrets Of The Ya Ya Sisterhood, played in this summer's film adaptation by Ellen Burstyn and Ashley Judd.
J.Lo Fires Hair Stylist
Jennifer Lopez has fired the hairstylist who made her a laughing stock at the Oscars - but it has nothing to do with his salon skills. J.Lo sacked Oribe last week after learning about a temper tantrum he threw at the press junket for her latest movie Maid In Manhattan. According to Lopez's aides, Oribe demanded a limousine to take him to and from J.Lo's hotel and screamed at studio executives when he didn't get his way. Oribe was responsible for J.Lo's bouffant hairstyle, which she wore to the Academy Awards earlier this year.
Gallagher Charged with Grievous Bodily Harm

Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has been charged with grievous bodily harm by German police following a brawl in a Munich hotel on Saturday. The raucous rock star, who lost two front teeth in the fight, reportedly kicked a police man and resisted arrest at the Bar Night Club at the Bayerischer Hof Hotel and spent a night in jail before being released on bail on Sunday morning. Five of the Oasis entourage, including drummer Alan White, also spent time in police custody, following the incident, which reportedly involved a group of Italians. Following the cancellation of yesterday's planned Oasis gig in Munich, tonight's show in Hamburg has also been called off, despite early indication's that the gig would go ahead.
Guy Ritchie Sells Off Film Roles on Internet
Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels director Guy Ritchie is selling roles in his latest movie over the internet. The star, who is married to pop queen Madonna, is auctioning off two parts in the upcoming gangster movie 49th Gate, one male, one female, to complete unknowns, and the cash raised will go to British charity UK Youth. So far 22 people have bid for the male part with the top bid being $1,680. Guy says, "It would be a crime for it to go at that price. The film is being shot in Los Angeles next spring and the prize includes return flights and two nights accommodation in a hotel."
Carey Shocked by MTV Striptease Fuss

Pop superstar Mariah Carey was shocked by the outrage following her risque striptease on MTV's Total Request Live - because she thought the top show was supposed to be controversial. He impromptu live strip, which had TRL host Carson Daly covering his eyes and asking her, "What are you doing?" just days before she was admitted to hospital with exhaustion last summer, was something she had planned to be a little saucy - but she was amazed with the fuss her moment caused. She says, "I'm like, 'It's TRL. I thought you were supposed to feel at home and do stupid stuff. I'm not going to stop being me because people don't get me. The only thing I wish I had done is had a better camera angle." The striptease, during which Carey threatened to bare all prompted TV critics to question the singer's sanity.
'Gladiator II' Set to Shoot?

Best Picture Oscar winner Gladiator is set for a sequel. Screenwriter John Logan, who wrote the script for the original film, and director Ridley Scott are in development talks to discuss the idea of a second Roman-era project. Dreamworks is eager to green-light Gladiator II after banking more than $450 million at the worldwide box office and earning nine Academy Awards. Logan says, "It's in the story phase. I'm meeting with Ridley and talking about what it should be and sort of flushing it out. It's early days, trying to pick out a story. It does have something to do with the first one and I'm not calling it a sequel. It's going to be very exciting." Insiders suggest the plot may focus around the early years of the reign of Marcus Aurelius and the gladiatorial days of Antonius Proximo - the roles made famous in the film by veteran actors Oliver Reed and Richard Harris, both now deceased. Reed died in 1999 on the island of Malta while shooting the original blockbuster.
John Mills in Award Tribute

Legendary British actor Sir John Mills will be bestowed with a special honor at next year's British Academy Of Film And Television awards. The 94-year old Ice Cold In Alex star will take his place next to previous recipients, including Alfred Hitchcock and Sean Connery, of the Academy's special Fellowship award. Mills, who won an Oscar in 1971 for his performance in Ryan's Daughter, has always welcomed accolades. He says, "I'm not one of those who decry Oscars - ever since school I've always liked the idea of competition and prizes."
Denzel Upset Over Racial Slur
Denzel Washington is annoyed at his reputation as a reluctant lover of white leading ladies in his movies - because it's untrue. The movie star picked up the rap after a disagreement with movie maker Spike Lee on the set of Mo' Better Blues, but the Oscar winner insists it had nothing to do with his beliefs that cross-racial romances in the movies don't work He fumes, "We had a disagreement about one scene. That was it. Next, when I was working with Julia Roberts on The Pelican Brief, the tabloids reported that I refused to kiss her. I was never supposed to kiss her. It was never in the script. Look at He Got Game - me and Milla Jovovich. The bottom line is that I haven't been offered a lot of sex scenes."
Lopez and Affleck's Expensive Thanksgiving

Hollywood super couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck spent a romantic Thanksgiving Day together - shopping in Las Vegas. The pair, who are engaged to be married next year, arrived at the Forum, Caeser's Palace at midday in a limousine - prompting a desperate crowd to try and get a glimpse of the couple. Lopez then took Affleck around a range of exclusive boutiques, including Gucci, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana.
'X-Files' Anderson Getting Busy with Mystery Man in London

Former X-Files beauty Gillian Anderson is keeping busy during her stay in London - by getting friendly with an unnamed man. The actress, who is currently starring in the West End play What The Night Is For, was spotted enjoying the company of a mystery man in the British capital - kissing him passionately in the street following a romantic lunch. One onlooker says, "It looked like she was still hungry."
