Jolie Thinks Costner's Too Old To Kiss

Kevin Costner's upcoming film Beyond Borders (2001) is suddenly "up in the air" because co-star Angelina Jolie has refused to play love scenes with the 45-year-old hunk. Jolie, 25, claims Costner is far too old to romance on screen - even though his real-life girlfriend is 25-year-old model Christina Baumgarten. A source says, "Jolie is flatly refusing to play love scenes with Costner because she reckons he's old enough to be her dad." Jolie's husband in real life however is 45-year-old Billy Bob Thornton.

Hasselhoff Freaked Out By House

David Hasselhoff was spooked on the eve of his Broadway, New York debut in stage version of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde - because he was staying in the apartment where the musical was written. David freaked out when his maid told him Leslie Bricusse adapted the classic dual-personality story from the very bedroom he was sleeping in. He says, "I was like, `Wow, are you sure?' - and it seems not only did he write the musical here four years ago, she was his maid too."

Dern 'still Bitter' Over Thornton

Laura Dern is still bitter about her breakup with Billy Bob Thornton - because he's treated her so badly in the press. Laura was heartbroken when her boyfriend left her suddenly for his soon-to-be-wife Angelina Jolie - and hasn't forgiven him for his way of dealing with the painful situation. Laura is convinced Billy has been "less than gracious" in his behavior towards her, while she has been nothing but polite - and claims he has abused his fame as a means of hurting her. She says, "To utilize the media to be who you really are is such a great gift - and then there are people who use it to discard others, which is sad for them." Dern stars with Thornton in the yet-to-be-seen black comedy Daddy and Them (2000) - but laughs at rumors that he has cut her from the adventure, because of the aftermath of their real life romance. She says, "He would have to be one hell of a great editor - because we are in almost every scene together. Anyway, I don't believe he could be that self-indulgent."

Douglas-Zeta Wedding Set To Sparkle

Michael Douglas' wedding to his fiance Catherine Zeta Jones is set to be a glamorous affair - as the couple pull out all the stops for a magnificent day. Plans for the November 18th ceremony, to be held at the exclusive Plaza Hotel in New York are being kept largely under wraps - but the 56-year-old Douglas insists the wedding will not be a disappointment. He says, "It will be a sumptuous party. The invitations have already been sent to our friends."

Tough Girl Lara Needs Armed Bodyguards

Lara Croft's reputation as a gun-toting fighting machine has taken a knock - as the actress playing her, Angelina Jolie, needs bodyguards. Angelina is playing skimpily-clad Lara in the Tomb Raider (2001) movie - and will have three armed bodyguards when she films scenes for the blockbuster in Cambodia. The South East Asian country is making an exception to a law banning foreigners to carry guns. Oscar-winning Jolie will be accompanied by bodyguards who have made a written request for permission to bring guns with them. Cambodian official Khieu Khanarith says, "This is the first time we've had a request like this. We believe it's only a problem of procedure. After all prime ministers visit with armed bodyguards." Guns are a major problem in Cambodia, where 20 years of civil war has created a huge stockpile across the country.

Married Cuba Gooding Jr. Caught With Other Woman

Cuba Gooding Jr. has been caught kissing a blonde in a bar - despite being married with two children. Cuba allegedly spent three nights with nurse Angela Bakaric while filming his new movie Rat Race (1980) in Ely, Nevada. Angela says, "I spent several nights with Cuba. We met the afternoon of October 3. I told Cuba I was a fan and wanted his autograph." Later they made arrangements to meet at a bar in the evening and ended up rubbing against each other by the pool table, "Cuba was rubbing her so hard that he popped the ring right out of her pierced belly button." Later Bakaric claims she went back to his hotel room. Gooding responds, "Yes I'm guilty of dirty dancing with this woman. Period. The people in that town were great to us. Me and the cast and crew wanted to show our appreciation. I danced with a 90-year-old too."

Debbie Reynolds Glad To Make Amends With Taylor

Elizabeth Taylor has finally made amends with Debbie Reynolds for stealing her husband Eddie Fisher more than 40 years ago. Liz is appearing in Debbie's upcoming film These Old Broads (2001) (TV) as a way to say sorry to her legendary love rival. Reynolds says, "I said Elizabeth 'I want to thank you for doing the part.' and she replied, ' I did this for you. I never forgot I owe you. I did you a big disfavor once'. She didn't spell anything else out. She didn't need to. I knew she meant Eddie Fisher and the accusations that flew. But her kind words brought a lump to my throat. It was a very emotional moment for me. Elizabeth can do anything and make a million dollars a minute. She wasn't getting that here I know she did this for friendship."

Johnny Depp Finds Filming A Drag

Johnny Depp's pulled a gender bending switching for his new film Before Night Falls (2000) - and he's loving it. Johnny plays the dual roles of a military officer and a transvestite in the film, and has spent hours wearing lipstick and learning how to walk in high heels. A crew member on the set says Depp makes a very convincing woman. He says, "During the filming, Johnny walked and talked like a woman. He's a great actor with a tremendous range."

Bette Midler Pokes Fun At Streisand Feud

Bette Midler is poking fun at her alleged feud with Barbra Streisand on her new TV sitcom "Bette" (2000). In the episode, Midler acts struck-dumb with laryngitis when Steven Spielberg calls to offer her a lead part in his latest movie. Unable to take the call due to her sore throat, Midler starts taking notes from the answer phone message, only to hear the dreaded words, "Hang on Bette, Barbra Streisand's on the other line." Making light of the feud tabloids have been stirring up for years, Midler grabs a kitchen knife and fakes stabbing herself in the stomach.

Charlie Sheen Ditches Luxury Trailer

Charlie Sheen has ditched his luxury trailer - because he wants to be part of the dressing-room gang. Just days ago, Sheen invited top showbiz show "Entertainment Tonight" to look around his "bachelor pad on wheels" which he'd parked at the Spin City set to relax in during his filming breaks, so tabloids didn't accuse him of being a male diva. But in the end it was Sheen's own sense of embarrassment, not the gossip columnists, who drove him out of his trailer. Sources on the set say he's decided he's not one of the gang in his luxury trailer so he's sent it home to move into a dressing room.
