Jennifer Lopez Was A High School Bully

Jennifer Lopez was a high school bully who once got into a knife fight with her own sister. The Latin stunner, who grew up in the Bronx, New York was feared by her classmates who dreaded doing anything to antagonise her. STEPHANIE HERLORY, Lopez's best friend from PRESTON HIGH SCHOOL says, "She was very straightforward, and if you were getting on her bad side, she'd let you know it... She was tough. Nobody wanted to be her enemy." And pals say some of her biggest brawls were with her older sister LESLIE, who she once chased through the house with a knife. Herlory adds, "She was always getting into huge fights with Leslie... It would start out with just screaming, then when their tempers really flared, it would turn into a wild catfight... Jennifer and I both spent some time in after-school detention."

Warren Beatty Loses His Sex Appeal

Casanova Warren Beatty has finally been rejected by women - at a test screening for his new movie. Female test audiences for the drama Town and Country (2000) - in which Beatty is due to play a seducer - rejected the idea that the 62-year-old could carry off the role. A source at NEW LINE CINEMA says, "At test screenings, movie-goers said they couldn't stand him because he was only after one thing from women, and that was sex, and he didn't seem like the sort of guy who would be able to get much." The company are now set to reshoot - making Beatty's character more likeable and convincing.

Ray Winstone Swallows Pill By Accident

Ray Winstone's sex life got a boost thanks to his latest film Love, Honour and Obey (1999) - after an accident with a VIAGRA pill. In one scene in the movie set in gangland Britain, Winstone had to appear to take one of the sex wonder pills. But instead of holding it inside his mouth, he swallowed. He explains, "I actually swallowed my tablet by mistake - I think I'm the first guy to take Viagra on screen. It gave me a funny feeling, but I was alright for days after. And his wife was certainly not complaining about the Nil by Mouth (1997) STAR's new potency. He adds, "My wife loved it. She had a smile on her face for weeks."

Sadie Finds Blondes Have More Fun

Sadie Frost dyed her brunette locks blonde for a film - and had far more fun than she's used to. The actress dyed her hair for her new movie Love, Honour and Obey (1999), in which she stars with husband Jude Law - and she discovered when she changed her hair she changed her personality too. She says, "It was fun and I had a really good time and it's true - blondes really do have more fun. I became too extrovert at the time and went a bit mad." But she won't be keeping the exciting look. She explains, "It was something I've always wanted to do and I will be blonde in my next movie too... It was exciting because I've never dared to be blonde as Sadie but it's different when you have to do it for a part. I could only ever be blonde for my job and for a character."

Jaws Creator Turns Over A New Leaf

The author of JAWS says he would never have written the book if he had realised the damage it would do to great white sharks. The novel sold 10 million copies, making Peter Benchley a millionaire, and was made into a movie by Steven Spielberg. But now Benchley says we should love sharks and he's giving talks across America to convince the public to help the misunderstood creatures. He says, "What I know, which wasn't known when I wrote Jaws, is that there is no such thing as a rogue shark which develops a taste for human flesh... However, " he says, "It's hard to rally people behind sharks. Unlike whales or dolphins, they are hard to anthropomorphise - and they occasionally eat people."

Samantha Morton Hits Out At Friel

Oscar-nominated actress Samantha Morton has hit out at Anna Friel for stripping off for a charity photo to raise money for BREAST CANCER CARE. The star of Sweet and Lowdown (1999) was furious when she saw shots of the British star baring all. She says, "I got really angry because all these f***ing sexy celebrities got their kit off and I know people who've had breast cancer, who've had mastectomies, and the last thing they want to see is Anna Friel naked... I just thought it ended up promoting her. It really wound me up and wound up a lot of women I knew... If you're going to work for a charity, you should make sure you're doing it for all the right reasons."

Russell Scared Of The Pussy Cats

Russell Crowe is famed for his tough guy image - but he was frightened to go near any of the animals on the set of his latest film, Gladiator (2000). The actor who won an Oscar nomination for his tough-talking role in the whistle-blowing film on the tobacco industry, Insider, The (1999), is frightened of fury animals. EMMA FIELDS from MILL FILMS, the digital animation company responsible for the movie's post production, explains, "There are a lot of tiger fighting sequences in the movie and actors such as Russell Crowe didn't want to get into the ring with the tiger. The tiger sequences had to be digitally super imposed - with the acting scenes added in later. " She adds, "It makes the actors look as if they're fighting against the tigers when in fact the actors never went anywhere near any of the animals." GLADIATOR was made almost exclusively in Malta.

Celebrity Money Manager Starts New Business While On Bail

Dana Giacchetto the financial advisor to the stars who has been charged with stealing millions of dollars (pounds), is starting a new business. The New York City money manager, whose clients allegedly included Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, has been released on $1 million bail and he says he can't wait to start a business again. Giacchetto, who is accused of stealing $6 million from the rich and famous, is vowing to help discover new talent for producers and studios. His lawyer ANDREW LEVANDER says, "He's had lots of contacts over the years with people who still have confidence in him." Among his former pals are DiCaprio, who according to the latest reports actually lived with the financier for eight months in his New York loft.

Journalists Furious At Leo's Interview With The President

LATEST: Washington journalists are furious that Titanic (1997) star Leonardo DiCaprio interviewed PRESIDENT CLINTON for ABC. The star of Beach, The (2000) was expected to just take a tour of the White House and suggest ways of making the building more environmentally friendly - but during his tour managed to get a 15 minute interview with the President. ABC news chief DAVID WESTON tried to calm outraged commentators by telling them the interview was not planned and came about because the President "wanted to sit down and do an interview with DICAPRIO" . But he did admit that the "producer at the scene did not try to prevent the interview." Observers believe the incident could have been an attempt by ABC to attract younger viewers.

Celebrities Answer Children's Calls For Help

ROSIE O'DONNELL, Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg have been brightening the lives of seriously ill children - by phoning them for a chat. They are just three of the stars to sign up to FAMOUS FONE FRIENDS - an American charity that arranges for celebrities to telephone children who are hospitalised or home-bound due to serious illness or injury. And charity organiser Linda Stone says having a star on the other end of the line can make an incalculable difference. She says, "We find out what the children's hobbies are and then they just call the children up and talk to them about anything they think they may be interested in." Although the charity recommends the stars make just one phone call, some they just can't stop from doing more. Stone says, "Robin Williams invited one child, who had a disfiguring illness, to his house for a game of pool. DAVID HASSLEHOFF another one who always does more. He holds onto numbers and always keeps in touch with the children." Now they're appealing to Britney Spears and golf hero TIGER WOODS to join the ranks. "We're desperate to get BRITNEY and TIGER on board as everyone is asking for them at the moment."
