Ryan Seacrest will reprise his role as “American Idol” host on the upcoming ABC revival, Kelly Ripa revealed Thursday morning on the duo’s syndicated daytime talker, “Live.” Seacrest will stay aboard their daily Disney-abc production in New York City, where they built the guy his own radio studio just to continue broadcasting “On Air With Ryan Seacrest.”

‘Walking Dead’ Sets Season 8 Premiere Date, Releases Key Art

The Walking Dead” Season 8 premiere date and key art (below) was released by AMC on Wednesday.

Season 8 will officially premiere on Oct. 22 on AMC, with the premiere also happening to be the series’ 100th episode. The art, released ahead of the show’s annual panel at San Diego Comic-Con in Hall H, features Rick staring down Negan. In the Season 7 finale, the stage was set for the Alexandria-Hilltop-Kingdom coalition to square off against Negan and The Saviors.

Production on Season 8 was briefly shut down last week following an on-set accident Wednesday that led to the death of stuntman John Bernecker.

Berecker was filming a scene with series regular Austin Amelio that required him to fall approximately 22 feet off of a balcony onto a safety cushion below. The CW series “The Originals” will end after its upcoming fifth season.

Showrunner Julie Plec made the announcement on Twitter on Thursday ahead of the series’ San Diego Comic-Con panel later this week. Plec said it was only fitting to make the announcement one year after announcing the end of the series’ parent program, “The Vampire Diaries.”

All eyes are once again on O.J. Simpson.

The 70-year-old former football player’s parole hearing is currently underway. It was expected to run anywhere from 15-20 minutes, but has already crossed the one-hour mark.

Simpson has served over eight years of a 33-year sentence in a Nevada prison after being convicted of armed robbery and assault following a 2007 Las Vegas incident. If granted parole, he could be out as early as this October.

ABC, NBC, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, Hln, and Espn are all airing the parole hearing in full. CBS will preempt their daytime coverage to air a portion of the hearing, but will stream the complete meeting online.
