Starr will play Homelander, the leader of the show’s primary superhero collective known as The Seven. ‘Fire and Fury’ to Be Adapted Into TV Series

‘Fire and Fury’ to Be Adapted Into TV Series
Michael Wolff’s “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” is being eyed for an adaptation into a television series, Variety has confirmed.

Endeavor Content has purchased the film and television rights to the book, which goes inside the first year of Donald Trump’s presidency. It largely portrays Trump as unprepared for the enormity of his office, and that he is unable to focus his attention on policy details. The book also includes quotes from former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, who referred to the 2016 meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer as “treasonous.” Bannon eventually resigned his position at Breitbart News over the furor caused by his statements.

The book proved to be an immediate best-seller and was sold out at bookstores in several major cities the day it was released.

No studio is currently attached to the project. Wolff will serve as an executive producer on the project with former

TV Ratings: 'Black Lightning' Gets a Promising Premiere on CW

TV Ratings: 'Black Lightning' Gets a Promising Premiere on CW
Good news for the CW. It seems the network still hasn't exhausted its viewers' appetite for superhero shows.

Black Lightning joined the lineup on Tuesday night, making it the fifth comic book series on the network — seventh, if you're counting genre-divergent entries iZombie and Riverdale. The first hour pulled a strong 0.8 rating among adults 18-49 and 2.3 million viewers. Those numbers are quite sound by CW standards, especially when you consider the fact that lead-in The Flash, the CW's No. 1 series, only performed incrementally better. Black Lightning shared The Flash's score in the key demo and lost fewer...

AMC is developing a series that hails from Blake Masters and Boo Killebrew, Variety has learned exclusively.

The series, titled “Aim High,” is described as a dramedy centered around a Southern family. Masters and Killebrew will write and executive produce the potential one-hour project.

Masters most recently co-created the USA series “Falling Water” with Henry Bromell in addition to serving as executive producer on the series. He also created the Showtime series “Brotherhood” and developed “Law & Order: La.” Killebrew wrote multiple episodes of “Longmire” after the show moved to Netflix in its fourth season.

Under the agreement, which was announced in April 2017, Charter will have an exclusive initial window in the U.S. to the co-produced content for use on its own platform, while AMC Studios will retain subsequent rights, including the right to distribute the content internationally.

Mulder and Scully are FBI agents who investigate weird crimes. Sometimes those are stand-alone adventures. Also, they’ve been partners, off and on, professionally and personally, for 25 years now, though their exact relationship status has often been a bit nebulous.

This Week’s Dossier

After we see a young man spot his own double while driving drunk, it’s clear something weird is going on in a small rural Virginian community — confirmed by the fact that this is just one in a series of many other instances, where mysterious deaths are connected to the victims having seen their doubles beforehand. So it’s a good thing that Mulder and Scully, paranormal investigators, are on the case!

The partners figure out relatively quickly that at the core of the mystery are two very eccentric twins who like to play telepathic hangman

Riverdale Recap: A Chic Is Hatched

Need to catch up? Check out our previous Riverdale recap here.

Riverdale‘s Black Hood killer has been captured — we think — but this week’s winter premiere gave the gang plenty of new problems to worry about.

With no Black Hood to unmask, and no Jughead to cuddle with, Betty decides to stir up some family drama to pass the time. Her sister Polly had her twins — offscreen, for some reason — and doesn’t want any contact with their parents, so Betty thinks it’s the perfect time to track down her long-lost brother. (Remember? It’s ironic that last week’s episode of The X-Files was titled “This,” because that’s my exact response to the show’s most recent hour.

This.

This.

This is what my X-phile ‘shipping heart has longed for all through nine seasons of television, one pretty good movie, one incredibly bad movie and two seasons of revival: Mulder and Scully, spooning in bed, talking about their future and acknowledging that they’ve had Biblical knowledge of each other.
