'The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons' oil wrestling smackdown
Things are getting down and dirty in Zap2it's exclusive sneak peek at this week's episode of MTV's "The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons." Four former "Real World" cast members strip down to their swimsuits and square off in their slipperiest competition yet: oil wrestling.
Jasmine ("The Real World: Cancun") takes on Ashley ("The Real World: San Diego") for a girl on girl showdown, and then Zach ("The Real World: San Diego") and Dustin ("The Real World: Las Vegas") do the same for the guys.
Think wrestling in oil sounds like fun and games? Think again! "It's slippery, it's gross, it's going in places it shouldn't be going in," Jasmine explains.
But "Cancun's" Jonna is happy just observing from the sidelines: "Zach has a great body and it looks awesome all oiled up. I definitely don't mind the view."

Did AMC leak 'Walking Dead' season 4 renewal?
Did AMC renew The Walking Dead? The network’s website posted a contest for viewers to win a trip to the set of the zombie hit’s fourth season — even though no such season has been announced and the third has yet to premiere. The contest is causing some to think the show’s officially renewed.
If the show was renewed, it wouldn’t be the first time AMC was scooped by its website. Last year an online ad for the second season DVD outraged fans by revealing a key character’s death before the episode had aired. But an »

He soon becomes very busy at work when a series of murders and strange deaths bedevil his previously placid township. Exclusive: A sequel to Lifetime’s five-part original movie Five, which told five breast cancer stories, is in the final stages of development at the network, closing in on a green light. Tentatively titled Five 2, the followup will address mental illness, keeping the structure of five short films tied together. Most of the auspices of the original movie are back, led by Friends star Jennifer Aniston and co-creator Marta Kauffman, who return as executive producers, alongside Kristin Hahn, Kevin Chinoy and Francesca Silvestri. Sony Pictures TV, Echo Films and Freestyle Picture Company will produce. In addition to executive producing the first film, Aniston also directed one of the five shorts in it. 'Vegas' review: Period drama, crime show and Dennis Quaid try to coexist on CBS
"Vegas" is among the more ambitious pilots CBS has put on the air in several years. It re-creates a bygone era with style (and impressive set design), it stars Dennis Quaid in his first-ever series role and it gives nearly equal time to Quaid's good guy and Michael Chiklis' mobster.
If that's the show we're going to get week to week? Great. But CBS' track record with shows outside its procedural wheelhouse in recent years is spotty at best -- "The Good Wife" has been a notable exception, but even it has a sturdy trial-of-the-week structure on which to hang its more serialized elements. The worry here is that the procedural elements -- which come to the fore in the second half of Tuesday's (Sept. 25) series premiere -- will overwhelm the deeply detailed world the first half of the premiere spent creating.
Only more episodes will tell us which side wins, »
Tonight: Vegas Series Premiere - Action and Gambling on the Vegas Strip
Set in the 1960s along the up-and-coming Vegas Strip, CBS’s new crime drama – aptly titled Vegas – is actually based in fact.
Vegas is the story of real-life rancher Ralph Lamb, played by Dennis Quaid, who reluctantly becomes the sheriff of Las Vegas opposite mobsters aiming to take advantage of casinos. Lamb is a real cowboy, who is clearly not afraid to get his hands dirty when dealing with life in the Wild West.
But when guns and gambling are involved, life is anything but easy.
The opposing force in the town is head mobster, an ambitious, tough-guy from the east, Vincent Savino, played by Michael Chiklis. Savino and Lamb’s interests in Vegas undoubtedly clash in a mix of law and lawlessness. Their battle for control of the Strip is complete with rough action, slick casinos, beautiful women, and an odd sense of respect between the sheriff and the mob. »

'The Mindy Project' Premiere: Real Women Wear Sequins and Scrubs
Every Fall season, I eagerly drink in all the articles that want to convince me that some show or another is going to be the Next Big Thing -- something bigger, better, cuter, and infinitely more hilarious than everything heretofore seen since the Last Big Thing. Then, I promptly decide that not only am I going to hate everything, but that I will mutter incoherently each morning reading recaps of shows I refuse to watch based on no particular principle whatsoever. Incomprehensibly, this is the way I get excited about the Fall.
It is also how I get excited about family road trips, but that is a story for a different time.
This year, you could hardly buy your daily duo of Tanqueray and Funyons without seeing Mindy Kaling's smiling face on a magazine under the word 'Hit!' I wanted to decide to hate this show, but with »
'Teen Mom' Amber Portwood MTV special 'Amber Behind Bars' to premiere Oct. 9
"Teem Mom" star Amber Portwood, now serving a five-year prison sentence for probation violation, will be the subject of an MTV special airing Oct. 9.
In the 30-minute program, Dr. Drew Pinsky (who else?) sits down with the troubled mom inside the Rockville Correctional Facility in Indiana to pontificate about addiction to see how she's coping since being locked up this June.
The behind-bars babe was unable to attend the reunion specials for "Teen Mom," which concluded its original series run Sept. 11.
(Read Amber's statement in its entirety here.)
In the prison interview with D.Pins, Amber candidly discusses her relationship with 3-year-old daughter Leah and baby daddy Gary Portwood, and describes what her life has been like as an inmate.

'Sons of Anarchy' Recap: A Samcro Member Dies (Spoiler Alert)
We go into this episode knowing someone will die. If you haven't seen this episode yet, stop reading because that's basically all I'm going to talk about. I don't care about Gemma's conniving ways of trying to see her grandson that wouldn't be out of place on Maury. This is all about who dies, and what that means for Samcro long-term. Now, let's talk about how »
'The Voice' renewed for two more seasons at NBC
Superstar singing competition "The Voice" is hitting all the right ratings notes at NBC, and the network has rewarded the show with a surprise pickup for two more cycles.
Giving "The Voice" a greenlight to return in the spring was a no-brainer considering last week's announcement that Usher and Shakira will take over coaching duties for a touring Christina Aguilera and busy Cee Lo at that time. But now "The Voice" is also guaranteed to return next fall, keeping the show on track for a two-cycle-per-season run similar to "Dancing with Stars" and "Survivor," instead of the more cautious one-cycle-per-season approach of "The X Factor" and "American Idol."
There's no word on which members of the six-superstar-strong rotating coaching line-up will appear on the fall cycle, or whether or not it's possible even more coaches might be added to the mix.
'DWTS' feud alert: Did Pamela Anderson diss Bristol Palin?
When asked backstage after the show about cameras catching the "Baywatch" bombshell smirking and twirling her hair in an apparent "crazy" gesture toward Sarah Palin's daughter, seated beside her, Pam responded with a flat-out denial.
"No, no, no -- that did not happen!" she said. "I think she's a great girl."
"I don't even remember twirling my hair," she added, quipping: "This isn't even my hair!"
But twirl-gate did follow Pam's earlier crack about Bristol benefitting from her famous mother's political influence. "Bristol Palin, she's got the whole Tea Party, right?"
The single mom and abstinence activist believes her rival's jibes are "all in good fun." She acknowledges that the two are "polar opposites" when it comes to politics, but adds, "She hasn't said anything to me personally."
But there's little »
Fox News Reclaims Cable News’ Top Ratings Spot Monday
What a difference a week makes. Last Monday, MSNBC topped the cable news ratings in the key 25-54 demo for the first of two nights owing to its coverage of the secret Mitt Romney tape. This Monday, Fox News Channel is solidly back at No. 1 in the demo. Fox News pulled in an average of 2.3M total viewers in primetime last night, while MSNBC had 1.3M and CNN 573,000. The numbers were a bit tighter in the demo, but Fox still topped second-place MSNBC by more than 100,000 viewers. Among the night’s top five shows, MSNBC did much better with the demo than it did in total viewers: With 429,000 viewers in 25-54, The Rachel Maddow Show was the third-highest-ranked show behind The O’Reilly Factor’s 633,000 and Sean Hannity’s 488,000. Still, if those numbers continue, Maddow won’t beat Hannity in the demo like she did the week of September 17. MSNBC »
