Business Time

... My keyboard is dripping with tears as I type this: MTV has declared that the upcoming sixth season of Jersey Shore will be the show's last. It seems like just a handful of months ago that Jersey Shore was still one of biggest things in popular culture, but you know what they say about all good things. Thankfully, many of the cast members have moved on to bigger and better interests.including having babies, starting drama on the U.K..s Big Brother, and live-tweeting WWE events for money. Seriously though, I probably...  More >> »

CBS News Declines To Identify Author Of Book About Osama Bin Laden Raid

30 August 2012 4:40 PM, PDT | Deadline TV | See recent Deadline TV news »

CBS News says it won’t reveal the identity of a retired Navy Seal who wrote a book about the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden, even though other media outlets have done so. CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager told The Associated Press that the author is “an American hero” and the network believes it has a responsibility to protect him. Fager also said he’d make the same decision to withhold the identity even if the network hadn’t gotten an exclusive interview with him that’s set to air September 9 on 60 Minutes. The book, titled No Easy Day was written by one of the men in the room when the al-Qaida leader was killed in the May 2011 raid under the pseudonym of Mark Owen. The Navy Seal Team 6′s hunt for bin Laden also is the subject of the Kathryn Bigelow-directed film Zero Dark Thirty, slated for »

'Raising Hope' Season 3: See Melanie Griffith in action

30 August 2012 4:25 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

"Raising Hope" is beginning its season a bit later than a lot of other shows -- it debuts in early October -- but you can tide yourself over with this early look at the show.

The three-minute behind-the-scenes video that shows the cast at work with guest stars Melanie Griffith (as Sabrina's mom) and Tippi Hedren (Griffith's real-life mom, playing Sabrina's grandmother). Griffith could return, but it looks like Hedren's role is a one-off: The season opens with her funeral.

The death leads Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) and Jimmy (Lucas Neff) to consider the state of their relationship, because it appears grandma's will doesn't look kindly on Sabrina being single.

You can see all that, plus Hedren dishing on working with Cloris Leachman for the first time and some pretty amsuing lines from Garret Dillahunt and Martha Plimpton, by hitting play at the top of the post. "Raising Hope" premieres Oct. »

What Are You Hoping to See in Dr. Who Series 7?

After a long wait, we are finally coming down to the last few Doctor Who-less moments of our lives, and I simply cannot wait. Sereis 7 premieres on BBC America this weekend, and from what I understand, it's going to be less about an overarching storyline and more of a collection of many standalone Doctor Who "movies," similar to how Sherlock is filmed (as revealed by producer Caro Skinner).

Big Brother Live Eviction Spoilers - 8/30/2012

What a totally crazy week in the Big Brother house, if there was ever a case to be made for signing up to the live feeds it would be this week's events.  Yesterday's taped episode of Big Brother hardly gave a hint of what is actually going on, and I think that honestly people will be confused coming into tonight's live eviction.  Hopefully the hamsters will do a good job of bringing us up to date.  Here are a few updates on what is going on in the house:

First off, the most unlikeliest of alliances between Dan and Frank did happen, with Frank double-crossing Ian into tossing his veto, while convincing Jenn to pull Dan off the block and join her alliance.  Joe went into alliance with Frank, Dan, and Jenn, but, surprise surprise, that's where the fun starts.

In between court dates, getting in car accidents, doing photo shoots with Terry Richardson and being accused of theft, Lindsay Lohan actually managed to shoot two movies. She recently wrapped production on Paul Schrader's indie "The Canyons," but before that she got the paparazzi in a tizzy on the set of "Liz and Dick." Now, a few promo shots and the first images from the film itself have dropped, and they are sure to get the chatter started all over again. In case you forgot, Lohan takes on the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the biopic, and you can't make a movie about that actress without including "Cleopatra." Still regarded as one of the most expensive and tortuous productions of all time, the making of the movie was tabloid manna from heaven, as Taylor and Richard Burton (played by Grant Bowler) began a torrid affair that spilled out very publicly, »

“We will retouch in an ironic way all the programs where there are scenes that fall under the new law,” the channel’s general director Lev Makarov told Afp. ”For example, we will black-out the screen and write a joky message in a rolling caption. »
