Rush Limbaugh Slams AshleyMadison.com's Sponsorship Offer, Vows to 'Never' Run Their Ads

Even with advertisers running for the hills, Rush Limbaugh is upholding his sponsorship standards. One day after the controversial “dating” website AshleyMadison.com offered to buy up abandoned advertising space on his radio show, the conservative firebrand has fired back, promising to never align himself or his program with their business. A spokesperson for AshleyMadison.com, which encourages and enables extramarital affairs, had previously stated: “We are in the business of selling affairs, and our audience is absolutely his audience.” Photos: Hollywood's Great Duels of 2011 “We do not [accept] sponsor companies that help people cheat on their spouses,

You decide: Who will win Best Comedy Actress at the Emmys?

9 March 2012 3:49 PM, PST | Gold Derby | See recent Gold Derby news »

All six of last year's Emmy Award nominees for Best Comedy Actress are eligible to contend again in 2012, but there are also several strong candidates hoping to push into the field. Melissa McCarthy prevailed last year for the first season of "Mike and Molly." Her surprise victory could have been the result of the success of the movie "Bridesmaids" which eventually net her an Oscar nom. Among those she bested were two past winners of this award -- Edie Falco ("Nurse Jackie") and Tina Fey ("30 Rock") as well as category newcomers Laura Linney ("The Big C") who had gone three for three in previous Emmy bids and Martha Plimpton ("Raising Hope"). However, it was Amy Poehler ("Parks and Recreation"), who masterminded the now-famous beauty pageant routine, who was the favorite last year and is far ahead in this year's race.  Make Your Emmy Predictions: Who Will Win Best »

CBS Corp.'s Stock Hits 52-Week High

9 March 2012 3:43 PM, PST | The Hollywood Reporter | See recent The Hollywood Reporter news »

New York -- The broad-based S&P 500 stock index bottomed out March 9, 2009, ending a U.S. bear market driven by the financial crisis and recession. But on Friday, exactly three years later, CBS Corp. had something to celebrate: Its stock hit a 52-week high of $30.99, which also marks the highest price for the stock since the company's separation from Viacom at the start of 2006, before closing at $30.81. And data provided by the company shows that the media and entertainment stock is the second-best performer in the S&P 500 since the 2009

9 March 2012 3:12 PM, PST | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Wednesday night's PaleyFest panel was devoted to Sons of Anarchy, and true to the show's name, it was a wild ride! Executive producer Kurt Sutter was joined on stage by his wife (and star) Katey Sagal plus Theo Rossi, Tommy Flanagan, Dayton Callie, David Labrava and Michael Ornstein for a conversation moderated by Stuart Levine of Variety. Between stories about Perlman's lack of motorcycle prowess and working with Tom Arnold and David Hasselhoff, the gang spilled a few hints about season five. Starting off about a month after season four's explosive finale, Jax and Tara will be front and center as they figure out how to operate within their new roles as president of Samcro and old lady. Leslie Knope Just Landed a Real-Life Union Endorsement

9 March 2012 3:09 PM, PST | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

Though Leslie Knope’s City Council campaign has suffered its fair share of setbacks on Parks and Recreation, the entirely fictional candidacy is going swimmingly in real life. Leslie Knope was just endorsed by a real live labor union! The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (Afscme) has announced that it will support Knope for Pawnee City Council, citing "Knope’s public service and her passion for making our communities safer, healthier and stronger." The catch is that Afscme wants Poehler to speak at their convention in exchange for the endorsement, but they did throw backstage waffles into the deal. Ron Swanson will probably shut this offer down, but still: Congrats, Knope 2012! You guys are killing it! »

Well, the blockbuster movie season is upon us. Though I guess it's left to be seen how many blocks "John Carter" will really bust. I haven't seen the film yet, so I have nothing to offer. I've heard some good things but mostly I've been warned off a few dozen times. I'll saddle up to it in due time, but for now, I imagine many of you will be hitting the multiplex this weekend to have a look for yourselves. When/if you do, head on back here and give us your take. »

Listen: Chris Brown tries to explain things on new track 'How I Feel'

Chris Brown. Those two words are loaded with a recent past of domestic violence, on-air tantrums, nasty twitter outbursts, platinum sales and Grammy wins. A lot of ink has been spilled reporting and analyzing all of Brown's various low-points, but now the singer is trying to explain some things on his new track, "How I Feel." On the biographical song, Brown discusses his climb to the top, his media presence, his anger issues and perhaps (indirectly) his infamous beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna (the two recently reconciled musically, appearing together on two remixes). The world lost a huge talent when Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down 15 years ago in a shocking L.A. drive-by. The details surrounding his death have remained murky despite an FBI investigation that spanned eight years and hawked its own conspiracy theories. But one thing remains certain: that the influential rapper was deeply loved and respected by those he continues to inspire. Stars gave props to Biggie today, and here's what they had to say… Lil' Kim appeared on MTV's RapFix Live and recalled a memorable conversation she had with the late rapper: "I was his biggest fan, rockin' with him. And I was shorty, I was his pride and joy. Sometimes he would say to me, 'I feel »

SXSW - Day One: A preview of what to expect from us during the festival

It's come up so quick this year that I'm having trouble believing that South By Southwest is finally underway today. I'm here for the entire film portion of the festival, and for those who haven't been here, you may not realize that SXSW is not just about movies.  There is also a major Interactive conference, and an amazing Music festival.  Interactive runs concurrently with film, and Music starts just as Film is ending.  The net result of all of this is that Austin is absolutely, no question, 100% bananas for the next 15 days or so. I'm here for Film, though, »

The Stage Dive Weekend Review

Tribes (at the Barrow Street Theatre through June 3)Tribes is composed and expressed in so many different inter-meshing vernaculars — educated estuary English, British intellectualese, sign language, Middle Dilettante — Nasa should consider including it aboard its next deep-space probe. Alien races could learn a lot about how humans draw each other suffocatingly close while desperately fending each other off, and how we agglomerate into a incestuous groups, break apart, hybridize, and come back together, changed. They could also pick up some mustardy Britspeak, which is slung around with thrilling aplomb by the electrically talented young playwright Nina Raine (already an Olivier-nominated sensation in London). “There is nothing naffer than titivating a cliché!” is a typical explosion from Christopher (the hellacious Steppenwolf vet Jeff Perry), the mostly harmless gasbag patriarch of a fractious family of Jewish intellectuals: foul-mouthed, fulmination-prone, life-stymied, and love-hungry. Watch: Megan Fox and Edward Burns talk 'Friends With Kids' and being perfect

"Friends with Kids" is not just the story of said friends, but the girlfriends and boyfriends that come from the outside into the group. Megan Fox's character Mary Jane and Edward Burns' Kurt are just that. The two actors also came into an ensemble that was fresh from finishing "Bridesmaids." According to our interview with Fox and Burns, coming into the group off-screen felt a little like what was going on onscreen, at least for one scene. It helped to heighten the drama with their "outsiderness." But, said Burns, "Everybody's very cool and very funny."   Fox said her experience has »

'Game Change' Review: Sarah Palin Has Nothing to Complain About

Sarah Palin would be lucky if everyone portrayed her as generously as Julianne Moore does in "Game Change." The United States is filling up with people who wholeheartedly embrace one political party and reject everyone in the other. They don't just reject the other party's platform -- if they even know what it is. They just reject other people because they have an R or a D next to their names. They are dumb and tiresome. Who will star opposite Beyoncé in A Star Is Born? Over the last year or so, that role has been difficult to lock down: Once upon a time, Russell Crowe was attached, then Clint Eastwood took over as director and approached Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale to no avail. Now, reports Deadline, the helmer is in talks with Tom Cruise for the male lead. That would definitely be something! Deadline also claims that Eminem (!) was once in the mix, as was Will Smith ... which, just give the role to Will Smith, you guys. Seriously! »
