'24' Can't Blast Away Globes
Fox's nuclear-themed 24 proved to be no major threat to NBC's coverage of the Golden Globe ceremonies Monday night. The Globes show captured a 12.9 rating and a 19 share at 8:00 p.m., while 24 placed second with an 8.8/13 -- not bad, but a long distance from the lead. At 9:00 the Globes telecast rose to a 13.4/19, while 24 also moved up a bit -- to a 9.5/14. At 10:00 the Globes continued to shine, registering a 13.5/21. With Fox out of the competition -- it does not air primetime programing after 10:00 p.m. -- the only challenge to the Globes came from a rerun of CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, which scored a 7.7/12.
