Fox is cutting short Lucifer‘s sophomore run, saving the final four of the 22 produced episodes for Season 3, TVLine has confirmed.

Ratings: Blindspot, Empire Return Up

Fox’s Empire resumed Season 3 on Wednesday night with 8 million total viewers and a 2.8 demo rating (per finals), ticking up on both counts versus its fall finale.

Leading off the night, the Shots Fired premiere drew 4.7 mil and a 1.1 (compared to time slot predecessor Lethal Weapon‘s most recent 6 mil/1.3).

James Corden Addresses Westminster Attack: London Will Not Be Divided

James Corden on Wednesday took a moment to remark on the devastating attack that occurred in his hometown of London earlier that afternoon, during which a maniacal extremist purposefully drove his car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before fatally stabbing an unarmed officer outside of Parliament.

The terrorist was eventually shot and killed by police, but his unfathomable act of cruelty left at least two others dead, while 29 others were admitted to a nearby hospital. According to The Guardian, at least seven of those admitted remain in critical condition.
