The notorious German killer known as both The Butcher and the Vampire of Hanover was guillotined in 1925 for the murders of young men and boys between 1918 and 1925. His gruesome exploits inspired three films including Fritz Lang’s M and 1995’s The Deathmaker as well as this uncomfortable Uli Lommel creepfest which was pretty much relegated to Us arthouses.”This is the original German trailer. It’s fuzzy history designed to prop up German morale, but the film is graced with the incredible presence of a teenaged Romy Schneider, whose beauty and personality became a sensation in the European film world.

The Miracle Worker

Anybody that appreciates good theater and good moviemaking will be in awe of Arthur Penn’s marvelous visualization of this tale of a determined woman achieving the impossible — teaching a child that can neither see nor hear. The knock down, drag ’em out scenes between Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke are unique, to say the least.

Back in the early 1970s film school professors had limited resources. Ginger Snaps

12 November 2017 9:00 PM, PST

Director John Fawcett proves you can teach an old werewolf new tricks in this inventive B thriller satirizing the miseries of high school life. Brigitte and Ginger Fitzgerald are two rebellious siblings who really take this goth business seriously, particularly Ginger whose growing pains include turning into a werewolf. Emily Perkins and Katharine Isabelle are terrific as the supernatural sister act and Mimi Rogers is the supportive but ultimately ineffectual mom.
