Being a child star in one of the biggest film franchises of all time can't be an easy feat. However, Daniel Radcliffe, who most may know as Harry Potter, has made bold and beautiful decisions after playing the famous wizard for a decade.

Today, Daniel turns twenty-seven, and we want to celebrate the last five years in which he's put away his wand, and instead has dazzled us in new and exciting ways that we honestly never could have anticipated. A young actor who keeps surprising us with his role choice -  as in his latest film, Swiss Army Man, where he literally plays a  corpse - Radcliffe has cast his own magical spell on us, and we've been entranced ever since we »

This week saw a bunch of films getting second, third and final trailers, making us that much more hyped for their release!

San Diego Comic-Con kicked off this week, which is probably the biggest time of year for movie news, announcements, trailers, and all of our favourite things. It's still early in the week, but so far we've seen a new poster for Wonder Woman, a clip from Trolls, a new red band trailer for Sausage Party and a new trailer for Oliver Stone's biopic Snowden. That's just the tip of the iceberg, however, as we have tons of new movie footage from this week to tide us over, until, »

Seth Rogen really cares what you will think of his latest film, Sausage Party.

The R-Rated animated food adventure just got a brand new red band trailer, but we also caught up with Rogen and his crew at San Diego Comic-Con, where we got some inside scoop about the film. Ten years in the making, this was Rogen's chance to put his mark on the animated genre, after being inspired by Disney and Pixar for his whole life.

Here are five things we learned from Seth Rogen and the makers of Sausage Party at Comic-Con!

Gal Gadot reveals the first poster for Wonder WomanGal Gadot reveals the first poster for Wonder WomanAdriana Floridia7/22/2016 1:58:00 Pm

We loved her in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and next year, Wonder Woman will have a film that is all her own.

Today actress Gal Gadot revealed the first poster for Wonder Woman. Gadot stars as the iconic superhero, and we still can't believe it has taken this long for her to have her moment in the spotlight, on the big screen. We're guessing it will be worth the wait, seeing as how perfectly cast Gadot is, and how epic the film is bound to be.

Wonder Woman will tell the origin story of Diana Prince, the Amazonian princess who leaves her island home to become one of the best superheroes we've ever known. The film will co-star Chris Pine, Robin Wright and David Thewlis.

This week we have a double dose of space-related issues, and some skeletons in the closet that have come back to life.

Manny and Diego? Check. Sid and Scrat? Yup. All the new Ice Age characters along the way? They’re back too! And you can also assume that Scrat, once again, has something to do with what’s happening in Ice Age: Collision Course. In an attempt to hide his acorn, Scrat awakens an ancient alien ship that transports him deep into space where he happens to bump into a few asteroids and put them on a collision course with Earth. Back on Earth, Manny and Sid are dealing with problems of their own, »

New Snowden trailer finds Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a whole lot of troubleNew Snowden trailer finds Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a whole lot of troubleAmanda Wood7/21/2016 4:48:00 Pm

Comic-Con 2016 is officially underway, and that means new trailers.

One of the first to roll out of San Diego’s hallowed Hall H is for Snowden, acclaimed filmmaker Oliver Stone’s latest film. As the title suggests, it follows the controversy surrounding Nsa agent Edward Snowden, who leaked thousands of classified documents to the public, leading to his arrest and vilification by the American government.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as Snowden, and gives a pretty impressive performance from what we’ve seen. Shailene Woodley, Scott Eastwood, Nicholas Cage, Zachary Quinto, Melissa Leo and more star along Jgl, and with a cast like this, we won’t be missing it.

Watch the brand new trailer below, and catch Snowden in Cineplex theatres September 16th.

We understand the need for silence when we sleep, but Anna Kendrick's Princess Poppy takes that the wrong way in a new clip from Trolls.

Poppy and Branch (Justin Timberlake) are two trolls on an epic adventure that involves a lot of singing and dancing, but Branch  just wants to get some sleep. Tired and in a grumpy mood, Branch doesn't take it well when Poppy tries to sing to herself late at night. Asking for silence, Poppy instead breaks into the Simon & Garfunkle hit "The Sound of Silence", in a beautiful and psychedelic rendition.

Trolls also stars James Corden, Zooey Deschanel, Russell Brand, and Gwen Stefani. We can't wait for more music from these adorable creatures when the film hits Cineplex theatres on November 4th, »

After months of anticipation, we'll finally be able to see Margot Robbie's portrayal of Harley Quinn on the big screen, in just a couple of short weeks.

We have to admit, we are definitely the most excited for Harley Quinn among the many members of the Suicide Squad. An iconic character being portrayed by one of the best new actresses out there, Robbie's casting decision is one of the most perfect we've ever seen, and we feel confident saying that even before seeing the movie.

She's joined by Jared Leto, Will Smith, Jai Courtney, Viola Davis and more in the film, but in this latest character trailer, we get a focus on Harley Quinn, who we're putting our money on as the »

New Train to Busan trailer promises the craziest zombie film you'll see this yearNew Train to Busan trailer promises the craziest zombie film you'll see this yearAdriana Floridia7/21/2016 10:01:00 Am

A train ride from Seoul to Busan could save you from a zombie attack, that is, if you can catch it.

The Korean zombie film Train to Busan looks to be one chaotic and gruesome thriller, which is just how we like them. Taking place on a train, a group of survivors attempt to escape the zombies by getting to Busan, however it's obviously not that simple. The film is one of Korea's most expensive productions ever, so you can expect crazy visuals and lots of blood and gore. For those who take the train into work everyday, this one is going to hit close to home.

Check out the crazy trailer for Train to Busan below! The film »

Chris Pine boldly leads the U.S.S. Enterprise crew to a place they hopefully haven’t gone before in Star Trek Beyond, the third outing of the rebooted movie and TV…well, enterprise.

This time there’s a new skipper behind the scenes, too, as the director of 2009’s Star Trek and its 2013 sequel Into Darkness, J.J. Abrams, jumped ship to helm the revival of an even more legendary space-opera franchise with Star Wars:The Force Awakens. That left Beyond’s warp drive in idle for a bit, until the man who made four Fast and Furious films, Justin Lin, took the com.

“Justin had a hard gig, man,” Pine notes in a hotel just off L. »

Cineplex is proud to be a Canadian company, and we’re proud to be a part of the Canadian film industry. We’re lucky enough to count some industry vets as part of the Cineplex family, and they’ve helped turn Cineplex into the national brand it is today.

Ian Shaw is one such industry vet, having worked in the film exhibition industry for forty years. Ian is the Vice President of Purchasing, Supply Management and Facilities here at Cineplex, and he was also last year’s recipient of the Canadian Picture Pioneers’ Pioneer of the Year award. He’s been with Cineplex for a long time, but he didn’t always work here at home office.

Five life lessons we learned from Garry Marshall

Five life lessons we learned from Garry MarshallFive life lessons we learned from Garry MarshallAdriana Floridia7/20/2016 10:07:00 Am

Last night, Hollywood lost one of its most prolific filmmakers, Garry Marshall, who passed away at the age of eighty-one.

Marshall was known for his sentimental films that focused on love and friendship in a magical and optimistic way that was unique to his sensibilities. While he had a huge impact on television, as the creator of “Happy Days” and all of its spin-offs, he also offered the film world some of our best romantic comedies and stories of platonic love, from Pretty Woman and The Princess Diaries, to Beaches and Raising Helen.

Marshall’s joy for life was evident through his storytelling, which had quite the impact on us growing up, and up until this day. At the age of eighty, Marshall was still working hard behind the camera, as »

We’ve seen a lot of action movies. Like, a Lot. But we don’t think we’ve ever seen anything quite like xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

A teaser trailer for the new xXx movie was just released, and features old franchise favourites like Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson. If you’re not familiar with the xXx movies, they revolve around an extreme sports athlete (Diesel) who is tasked by the government with covert, dangerous missions.

When we say extreme sports athlete, we mean extreme: like heli-skiing through the jungle, sparks flying off your skateboard extreme. We told you it was unique.

Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, and Toni Collette round out the cast of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, »

Not much else is revealed except for more scenes of our motley crew shooting off guns and things getting blown up. Which is a good thing as we want to be surprised going into this!

Chris Pine has been a busy man.

Between starring in one of the year’s biggest movies with Star Trek Beyond (which releases this week) he’s found time to also make Hell or High Water, a much smaller movie that takes place down here on Earth and releases later this summer.

A new trailer was released for the film, which stars Ben Foster and Chris Pine as struggling brothers who resort to bank robbing to stay afloat. Jeff Bridges and Gil Birmingham also star as the small-town Texas law enforcement that tries to take the brothers down.

Happy Birthday, Benedict Cumberbatch!Happy Birthday, Benedict Cumberbatch!Jenny Bullough7/19/2016 11:06:00 AMWe confess: we adore Benedict Cumberbatch, and we don't trust anyone who doesn't. The man is unconventionally attractive, super charming, and highly intelligent. He first caught everyone’s attention embodying the modern Sherlock on TV, and we were smitten. Since then, he's gone on to be the most unexpected heart-throb of the 21st century. I mean, come on. Totally swoonworthy, right?

He proved that unlike his TV character, he has a playful sense of humor when he was snapped executing an adorable photobomb at the 2014 Oscars red carpet:

And showed off his dry British wit in this awards show clip:

So naturally we were overjoyed when he made the leap to the big screen! He’s delivered badass smoulder as John Harrison/Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness:
