Star Wars 7 May Have Its First New Cast Member
54 minutes ago
Although it’s currently unofficial, it’s been reported that Jonathan Rhys Myers has become the first actor not associated with the earlier films to be signed to appear in the next Star Wars sequel. There’s no word yet on what his role will be.
A Report in the Latino Review states that Jonathan Rhys Meyers, star of Showtime’s The Tudors—who plays a slim, stud version of King Henry the 8th—has signed to appear in the upcoming Star Wars film, which will be the first produced by Disney. Meyers has previously worked with new Star Wars executive Producer J.J. Abrams on Mission Impossible III, which was the feature film debut for Abrams.
Disney and Abrams have not confirmed the casting of Meyers yet, but if the report turns out to be true—and it may be, because the Latino Review has a good track record for »

Newest Trailer for The Wolverine Hits the Web
1 hour ago
This morning brings a brand new trailer for James Mangold's The Wolverine, giving us oodles of new footage for fans to get excited over, and provides a better look at the overall plot of the mutant's next solo outing. Come inside to check it out.
Frankly, I think this is a much better trailer than the first one we got. It doesn't go for epic, as many comic book films do, but it instead goes for a little more dramatic and personal storytelling presentation. I hope the full movie goes this route as well, seeing as how this kind of story needs to be 'smaller' and more personal than other comic book films. Plus, it gives us our best look yet at the massive silver samurai.
I like the opening with Jean Grey, and it's obvious he still feels guilt over having killed her (even though it was entirely »

Event Spotlight: 2013 Dallas Comic-Con
Before the doors of the Irving Convention Center even opened on Saturday, it was very evident that Dallas Comic-Con is no longer just a local Texas event. Just by reading the convention's Facebook page, you could see people sharing their stories of how far they had traveled to meet their favorite celebrities. Many were from out of state or distant corners of the Lone Star State.
Let's just get the negative out of the way so we can get to the good points. Yes, there were a few cancellations. One was felt more than the others. The first day of the event, Nathan Fillion's representatives contacted Comic-Con management and told them the actor wouldn't be attending because of health reasons.
Since the Comic-Con personnel can't just say it out of tact and professional reason, let me do the talking for them. Anyone who drives or flies thousands of miles »

Full Trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins Fails to Inspire Confidence
22 hours ago
Last week we got a brief tease of the trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins, with the knowledge we'd be getting the full trailer today. The trailer has landed and while it's incredibly nice to look at, it doesn't exactly fill us with confidence for the newest entry into the Arkham franchise. Come inside for the trailer and some new screens (including your first look at the Joker).
First, let me say, this is a very nice looking trailer and has some cool moments. That being said, this new trailer has done ittle to make me any more confident in the game itself. Let's watch the trailer then talk more after:
There's a lot of uncertainty with this game. Rocksteady has passed development over to WB Montreal (which is largely untested), and virtually none of the original people from the previous games are returning. The voice actors have been recast and »

Disney Announces Star Wars Rebels the Cartoon Show for 2014
23 hours ago
Earlier this year, Disney pulled the plug on Star Wars The Clone Wars, the well done Star Wars show on Cartoon Network. Since its cancellation we've know that they were working on a brand new show and that Dave Filoni (the CW supervising director) was already getting prepped for that. Now Disney has officially announced the new cartoon show, set in the 20 year gap between Episode 3 and 4, is in production and will debut on Disney Xd in Fall 2014. Come inside for all the details.
We knew it Disney wouldn't wait long before unveiling their next TV series for Star Wars. As popular as the Clone Wars was, and considering they already mentioned they were working on something new, it was only a matter of time before they came out with something official. Today they bring word of Star Wars Rebels, a brand new cartoon show that is set to fill »

Sony Releases PS4 Teaser Trailer And New Game Hints
20 May 2013 10:16 AM, PDT
Microsoft is set to reveal the next Xbox tomorrow, and Sony is well aware of it. Sony is showing some more cards to their marketing strategy as they reveal a teaser trailer for the PS4, and hint that a new game will be shown off tomorrow to combat the Xbox reveal.
You can check out the trailer below. Its really blurry, but has several hints to something huge. Remember Sony got some angry fans when they didn't show off the actual console at their announcement conference of the PS4, but we knew Sony was up to something. Save the reveal of the actual console for when Microsoft shows off theirs, then steal some of the attention.
That is exactly what Sony is doing as the blurry video shows the console very slightly. It seems to be square(ish) and black, something Sony is known for. Sony also hinted at a »

Box Office Breakdown: Into Darkness Brings Iron Man's Reign to an End
20 May 2013 1:45 AM, PDT
As expected, J.J. Abrams' highly anticipated Star Trek Into Darkness took the number one spot at the box office away from Iron Man 3. Despite moving to the number two position, Disney's armored Avenger is still going strong and is now sitting at the 9th highest grossing film of all time. Come inside to check out the full box office numbers from the past weekend.
It's not really a shocker that Into Darkness took the top spot, but it is interesting to see how The Great Gatsby is still raking in the money and manages to maintain a number three spot on the list. I'm really interested to see how these rankings are going to change with the release of Fast and Furious 6 along with Hangover III. Perhaps Into Darkness can stay on top (frankly, I'm hoping it does), but some stiff competition is on the way.
