Ready Player One Backs Away from Star Wars, The Flash Moves Forward

In the wake of Star Wars: Episode VIII moving back to December 2017, movie studios have scrambled to readjust their calendars.  Warner Bros. has moved back Ready Play One, which also shuffled The Flash a bit forward.  Come inside to check out the new dates!

It was really only a matter of time before this happened.  When Disney officially announced that Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII was being moved to December 15, 2017 movies started moving out of it's way.  Ready Player One originally held the release date, which meant Steven Spielberg's adaptation would go directly against the Star Wars flick.

I had a strong feeling Warner Bros wouldn't keep RP1 in that slot, and today the move has been made official.  Spielberg's big screen adaptation of the popular Ernest Cline novel is now set to hit theaters on March 30, 2018.

It's not a huge move, but plenty enough space »

The Lords of Cinder are Rising in the Official Cinematic Open of Dark Souls III

Come inside to watch the haunting cinematic open for Dark Souls III.  Meet the Lords of Cinder!

Bandai Namco really outdid themselves with this one.  Dark Souls III's cinematic open is beautiful in a creepy, chilling kind of way.  Outside of the glorious quality of the video, the opener introduces us to the rise of some intimidating enemies, the Lords of Cinder!

When they introduced Dark Souls III at E3 2015, fans cheered for the epic medieval game to return. On the floor, Dark Souls had a huge footprint from posters to mascots to even a fountain of black blood.  It's safe to say that Bandai Namco is pretty confident in their product.

If this the opener is any indication, April 12, 2016 isn't close enough!

What do you think of the opener?

New Details for Cloaked in Silence Metal Gear Online Dlc

New details have arrived for Konami's next update on Metal Gear Online.  Come inside for details on the new Dlc, "Cloaked in Silence"!

Big news for those of you still playing Metal Gear Online!  A new Dlc entitled "Cloaked in Silence" is coming out this March to a console near you.  This may be old news to you, but what isn't is the new details they're sharing about the Dlc.

First, those who purchase the Dlc will get three new multiplayer maps:

Coral Complex: A dedicated Motherbase environment, allowing players to access tall towers, use storage containers and other internal areas as cover for tactical advantage. Coral Complex mixes open areas and a myriad of hiding opportunities. Rust Palace: Set within Afghanistan, the Rust Palace is a large multi-level building. The skeletal nature of the decrepit ruin means that cover is scarce, and the internal areas are rich in dusty rooms and high-up sniping positions. »

Experience the History of Far Cry Primal in the Far Cry Primal 101 Trailer

Learn everything you need to know about Far Cry Primal in the new Far Cry Primal 101 trailer!  See inside!

I really like it when developers send out 101 trailers, in advance of the game's release.  Sure, you'll learn all this in the game, but I've always liked knowing what I was getting into.  101 trailers are a perfect way to generate excitement in a concise 5 minute video.  Ubisoft does just that with the Far Cry Primal 101 trailer.

In it, we learn so much more about our main character and the tribes he must interact with.  The fearsome warriors aren't the only notable points, though.  The 101 trailer shows off many of the deadly weapons and more of the animal control that we've seen a little of.

The story, action sequences, and potential of riding a bear into battle have me stoked for the February 23rd release date!

What if Batman vs. Superman had been made in the 1980s?

7 February 2016 8:56 PM, PST

With the anticipation building for next month’s release of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, we thought it would be fun to speculate what it would have been like if a version of this film had been made 30 years earlier. How would this project have looked if it was made with Christopher Reeve, Adam West and Lynda Carter?

In 1980, Christopher Reeve--generally considered the best Superman of the big screen--starred in Superman 2, the successful sequel to his earlier blockbuster Superman: The Movie (1978). The box office windfall of that film guaranteed that Superman would fly again on movie screens. (He ultimately made two more sequels.)

Only a year before, Adam West had reprised his career-defining role of Batman in the mini-series Legends of the Super-Heroes (1979). He’d originally portrayed the caped crusader in the TV series Batman, which ran from 1966-1968. West additionally supplied the voice of Batman »

There’s always a lot of talk leading up to the big day about who will win what awards. Furthermore, Oscar films are usually heavy in the drama department and therefore they aren’t always the easiest or most entertaining movies to watch.

That’s why we’re here. Here is your guide to the nominees of this year’s Academy Awards. We’ve compiled the following brief summaries, interesting facts, and critical reviews for all these films and people. »
